After starring opposite Keanu Reeves on The Matrix movies, Carrie-Anne Moss said she was thrilled for the opportunity to work with another action icon, Arnold Schwarzenegger, on the second season of his hit Netflix series, FUBAR.
Schwarzenegger, of course, has not only starred in the Terminator series of films but other action movie classics including Predator, Total Recall, True Lies and two Expendables chapters. On top of that, Schwarzenegger was a world champion bodybuilder before his acting career, which he paused to become the governor of California from 2003 to 2011.
While Schwarzenegger has experienced success in several different avenues throughout his life, Moss said in a recent Zoom conversation for FUBAR Season 2 that her legendary co-star was as genuine as they come.
'What I've found through all the years that I've been working [is that] the more successful people are, often the more genuine connection I have with them,' Moss said. 'You would assume that very famous people are hard to connect with or kind of living in a different dimension in a way, but that's just not been the case for me the most famous men that I've worked with.'
As for how Schwarzenegger and Reeves stack up against each other, Moss said, 'Keanu and Arnold, they're by far the most fun, the kindest, the most genuine and the easiest to be around — none of that stuff that we kind of are conditioned to think."

New on Netflix, FUBAR Season 2 finds CIA Agent Luke Brenner (Arnold Schwarzenegger) stuck in a safe house with his fellow CIA agent and daughter, Emma (Monica Barbaro), as well as his ex-wife, Tally (Fabiana Udenio), her soon-to-be ex-husband, Donnie (Andy Buckley), and Emma's ex-boyfriend, Carter (Jay Baruchel).
Also living in the safe house are Luke and Emma's fellow CIA team members Roo (Fortune Feimster), Barry (Milan Carter) and Aldon (Travis Van Winkle), but they'll all need to leave the safe environment behind to thwart an EMP attack that will take out the entire U.S. power grid and plunge the world into chaos.
In order to stop the attack, Luke and his team will need to outwit Great Nelso (Carrie-Anne Moss), a former East German spy who had a dangerous romance with Luke during the Cold War; as well as her associate Theodore Chips (Guy Burnet)
Like Moss, Feimster, Carter and Van Winkle all loved working with Schwarzenegger, who they said promotes a team atmosphere on set even though he has top billing in the series.
'Arnold always says he's not a self-made man and you know, that's really the people that have been around him that have helped him become who he is, and I think our set is no different,' Van Winkle said in a recent Zoom conversation, alongside Feimster and Carter.
Van Winkle said the reason FUBAR is just as much the co-stars show as it is Schwarzenegger's stems from the great writing of series creator and showrunner Nick Santora, who is also the creator of the hit Prime Video series Reacher, starring Alan Ritchson.
'I feel like the writing from Nick Santora [is the reason] we all get to do a lot on this show,' Van Winkle added. 'We all get to do action and we get to do some ridiculous comedy [and] the heartfelt stuff, so I feel like we all get pretty well-rounded season arcs.'
Carter also credits Santora and Schwarzenegger for creating an ego-free set.
'Nick Santora is a great man. He has this secret policy: It's called the 'No a-----e policy,'' Carter said. "By him instilling that on set, it just allowed us to really just come together and be a family and nobody has an ego and Arnold doesn't have one either.
'He shows up happy to work every day, no matter how many hours a day we're working,' Carter added. "So, it's like, 'How can we not have fun if someone who's so accomplished is still excited to act every day?''
Feimster, who gets plenty of opportunities to share her comedic gifts on the series, said the FUBAR set is full of laughter whether the camera is rolling or not, thanks to Schwarzenegger and her fellow castmates.
'I've been so lucky in my career to be on some great shows, and this one topped it,' Feimster enthused. 'The people on set, in the cast in the crew, were so amazing and fun, and we just like spending time together and like a lot of belly laughs.
The best part of being on FUBAR, Feimster added, was that 'it never felt like work.'
'There were long days and it would be tiring, but we would be so happy to be there and be with each other,' Feimster noted. 'Anytime you have a job like that, It really is a treat, especially with the state of our industry right now. We know how lucky we are to be working and to be with great people is the cherry on top.'
Seasons 1 and 2 of FUBAR are streaming on Netflix.

Is ‘The Waterfront' returning for season 2? Everything we know so far
By Aman Shukla Published on June 21, 2025, 18:30 IST Last updated June 21, 2025, 19:09 IST Netflix's The Waterfront hit like a rogue wave, pulling viewers into the messy, thrilling world of the Buckley family in Havenport, North Carolina. Since the show dropped on June 19, 2025, folks can't stop talking about its blend of family fights, shady deals, and that jaw-dropping Season 1 finale. Everyone's itching to know what's up with Season 2. Here's the scoop on when it might land, who's likely returning, and what kind of drama could unfold, written straight from the heart for fans like you. Is Season 2 of The Waterfront Actually Happening? Right now, Netflix hasn't said 'yay' or 'nay' to a second season, which is keeping us on edge. But there's hope! Kevin Williamson, the guy who created the show and gave us classics like Scream , has said he's got big plans, dreaming up three seasons total. The way Season 1 ended, with Belle Buckley getting a cryptic message from a new crime family, screams 'more story to tell.' Fans are crossing their fingers, and with all the chatter online, Netflix might just give us what we want. Stay tuned! The Waterfront Season 2 Potential Release Date Trying to guess a release date without a confirmed Season 2 is like predicting the weather in a storm, but let's break it down. Season 1 got announced in May 2024, was shot from September to December, and landed on our screens in June 2025—that's about a year from start to finish. If Netflix says 'go' by late 2025, they could start filming by spring 2026 and have it ready by summer or early fall 2026, maybe July or August. The Waterfront Season 2 Expected Cast If Season 2 happens, we're betting the main Buckley crew will be back to stir the pot. Here's who we think we'll see in Havenport again: Holt McCallany as Harlan Buckley : The tough guy running the family's fishing business, Harlan's got his hands full keeping things together. He's not going anywhere. Maria Bello as Belle Buckley : Belle stole the show in the finale, getting mixed up with some dangerous new folks. She's ready to shake things up. Jake Weary as Cane Buckley : Harlan's son made some bad calls with drugs last season, and his messy life's bound to keep us glued. Melissa Benoist as Bree Buckley : Bree's fight with addiction and that scary moment in Season 1 make her someone we're rooting for. Her story's got more to give. Danielle Campbell as Peyton Buckley : Cane's wife isn't just along for the ride—she's got her own plans, and her chilly vibe with Cane hints at trouble. Rafael L. Silva as Shawn Wilson : The bartender who knows too much about the Buckleys could spill more secrets. Humberly González as Jenna Tate : Her fling with Cane's got drama written all over it. Brady Hepner as Diller Hopkins: This kid might step up and surprise us. Some characters, like Topher Grace's sketchy drug guy Grady, probably won't be back after what went down. But with a new crime family, the Parkers, in the mix, we could meet fresh faces. Side characters like Dave Annable or Zach Roerig might pop in too, depending on where the story goes. The Waterfront Season 2 Potential Plot That Season 1 ending left us with more questions than a small-town gossip mill. Here's what we might see in Season 2, based on those final moments and what Kevin Williamson's been hinting at: Belle's Big Move: A new crime family, the Parkers, reached out to Belle, and she saw something shady at their warehouse—poor Wes looked roughed up. Is she jumping into a dangerous deal or playing her own game? Family Fights and Fixes: Harlan's trying to run the fishery with Cane, but after all the backstabbing last season, trust is thin. Will they patch things up or fall apart? Cane's Messy Love Life: Cane's cheating with Jenna, and Peyton's not having it. That cold shoulder she gave him spells more arguments ahead. The Parkers Stirring Trouble: These new bad guys sound like they could challenge the Buckleys' hold on Havenport. Think turf wars or sketchy partnerships. 11 Great Horror Movies to Watch on Prime Video
Coherence is a huge favorite here at CNET and it's a terrifying watch. Not necessarily in the traditional, gory, horrific sense but more in terms of the concepts. It's a multiverse movie released before multiverses were cool and is not what you expect. Coherence is the kind of movie you'll finish and immediately rewatch to try to rewire your brain. It's a fantastic achievement and a must watch.
