Pakistan, Bangladesh T20I series starts today
LAHORE: The first match of the three T20 International series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played here at Gadaffi stadium today.
The second match is scheduled for Friday (May 30) while the third and final T20 International will be staged on Sunday (June 1).
Pakistan will be led by Salman Ali Agha, while Bangladesh will be captained by Litton Das.
Bangladesh cricket team has already reached here. On Tuesday, Bangladesh cricket team held a training session as a part of preparations ahead of the series. All three matches will begin at 8pm local time.
The PCB looks forward to hosting Bangladesh and delivering an exciting series that promises high-quality cricket under lights at Gaddafi Stadium.
The PCB has also announced that Sri Lanka's Ranjan Madugalle, who is a member of ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, will lead the playing control teams for the three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Bangladesh in Lahore.
Madugalle, who has also officiated the most international cricket matches (804) across three formats as Match Referee, also led playing control teams in seven matches of the recently concluded HBL PSL X. For the first T20I, Asif Yaqoob and Rashid Riaz – both part of the PCB International Panel of Umpires, will be the on-field umpires. Ahsan Raza, member of ICC Elite Panel of Umpires will be the third umpire, while Faisal Khan Afreedi, an ICC International Panel Umpire, will act as the fourth umpire.
In the second T20I, Rashid Riaz will join Faisal Khan Afreedi to perform the on-field duties while Ahsan Raza will be the third umpire. Asif Yaqoob will be the fourth umpire.

Pakistan set for Bangladesh T20I tour in July: report
The Pakistan men's cricket team will tour Bangladesh in July for a three-match T20I series, with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expected to officially confirm the schedule next week, according to reports. Following their matches in Bangladesh, Pakistan will travel to the West Indies for another white-ball assignment. A three-match T20I series is scheduled to begin on 31 July in the United States. Although an ODI leg is tentatively planned, reports suggest that the PCB and Cricket West Indies (CWI) are in talks to replace it with additional T20Is. The change would allow both teams to focus on upcoming T20 tournaments, including the 2025 ACC Men's Asia Cup and the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. As it stands, the T20Is against the West Indies are scheduled for 31 July, 2 August and 3 August. The proposed ODI series is slated to be held at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad on 8, 10 and 12 August, pending final confirmation. Further details on both tours, including any changes to the fixture list, are expected in the coming weeks.

ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 schedule announced
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule for this year's ICC Women's Cricket World Cup, which will run from September 30 until November 2, with five venues across India and Sri Lanka to be used for the eight-team tournament. According to the ICC press release, hosts India will get the tournament underway against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru. The two countries will get the tournament started at M. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that the high-profile India-Pakistan fixture in the 2025 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup will be played at a neutral venue due to ongoing political tensions between the two countries. The much-anticipated clash is scheduled for October 5, with the match set to begin at 3 PM IST. Despite India hosting the tournament, Pakistan will play all their group-stage matches at a neutral location, the ICC said on Monday. India and Pakistan have faced each other 11 times in women's One-Day Internationals (ODIs), with India maintaining a dominant record, having won all previous encounters.
