Directed by RS Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par is described as a spiritual sequel to Aamir's 2007 directorial Taare Zameen Par. It marks Aamir's return to the big screen after a three-year hiatus following the release of Laal Singh Chaddha.
Recently, Aamir Khan made his much-anticipated red carpet debut with girlfriend Gauri Spratt at the grand premiere of his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par in Mumbai. The actor was joined by his youngest son, Azad Rao Khan, from his previous marriage with Kiran Rao. The trio posed together for the paparazzi, marking Aamir and Gauri's first official public appearance as a couple.
Dressed in an elegant ivory sherwani with intricate embroidery, churidar pants and brown lace-up boots, Aamir Khan cut a classic yet contemporary figure. He accessorised his ensemble with a quirky fish-shaped potli bag, adding a unique touch to his traditional look. Gauri, on the other hand, looked graceful in a soft sage-green silk saree with golden motifs. She paired it with a deep green blouse and a delicate gold necklace, her soft curls styled to one side. The couple held hands as they posed, making their red carpet debut both affectionate and poised.
The couple's red carpet debut follows the confirmation of their relationship earlier this year. Aamir introduced Gauri during an informal pre-birthday celebration with the media in March. Hailing from Bengaluru, Gauri works with Aamir Khan Films and has a background in fashion, styling, and photography. She has a Tamilian mother, an Irish father, and a six-year-old son from a previous relationship.
Aamir shared that Gauri is still adjusting to Bollywood's limelight and hasn't seen many of his films apart from Lagaan and Dangal. He also mentioned that Gauri has met his close circle, including Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, and has been warmly welcomed by his family.
