ITCZ, Habagat to continue bringing rains over parts of PH
Rains brought by the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and the southwest monsoon, or habagat, will affect parts of the country on Saturday, June 14, the state weather bureau, PAGASA, said.
Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to ITCZ will be felt over Eastern Visayas and Mindanao.
Likewise, the same condition will be experienced over Batanes, Babuyan Islands, and Ilocos Norte brought by the habagat.
On the other hand, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides in the said areas.
Further, sunrise is expected at 5:27 a.m. while the sunset is at 6:26 p.m. — BAP, GMA Integrated News

Philippines experiences longest day of 2025
The Philippines experienced the longest day of 2025 on Saturday, June 21. ''Today is the Summer Solstice—the longest day of the year! It's when the Sun reaches its northernly point in the sky, giving us more daylight than any other day,'' PAGASA said. It signaled the start of summer in the northern hemisphere and winter in the southern hemisphere, when the Sun is above the horizon for a shorter time than on any other day of the year, the weather agency said. According to PAGASA, the sun rose at 5:28 a.m. in Metro Manila. The sun set at 6:29 p.m., providing the locals with around 13 hours of daylight, although afternoon thunderstorms partially obscured it. Meanwhile, the Intertropical Convergence Zone, Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), and easterlies will affect the country in the next 24 hours. Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are forecast for Zamboanga Peninsula, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, and Negros Island Region due to the ITCZ. Palawan and Western Mindanao will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms because of the Southwest Monsoon. The same weather conditions will occur in Eastern Visayas, the Bicol Region, and Quezon due to the easterlies. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters are expected across the country. Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:28 a.m. on Sunday. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
