Supercross 2025 results: 250 highlights, finishing order, reaction at Detroit, Levi Kitchen wins
Taking the lead from Max Anstie on a green-white-checkered restart at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, Levi Kitchen became the sixth different winner in six rounds of 250 divisional racing.
A red flag late in the feature for a crash involving Cameron McAdoo occasioned an oddly-time stoppage with only seven seconds on the clock. The riders were informed the race would resume with three laps remaining under a staggered start. It was the second consecutive red flag in 250 East divisional racing. Kitchen took a lap to gain momentum and passed Anstie on Lap 18 to become the sixth 250 winner in as many rounds.
Anstie kept frustration out of his comments, but he must have felt like he was robbed of the victory. Anstie built a 7.7-second lead when the flag waved and had already settled into a comfortable pace to protect his line. Some consolation can be had in the fact that he retained the red plate for the second straight week and had a bike capable of winning.
Several riders needed to bounce back from misfortune in Tampa, and high among them was RJ Hampshire. He got hung up on a Tuff Blox on Lap 1 in Florida and scored minimal points. He was never out of contention for a podium finish in Detroit, spending the entirety of the race in either the fourth or third position. He failed to gain ground on Anstie in the championship standings but gained a little on Tom Vialle.
Vialle got a modest start and was outside the top five for the first five laps. He climbed as high as third briefly before getting pushed back to fourth at the checkers.
Nate Thrasher won his heat and had a good gate pick to start the feature, but he did not get a good jump off the grid. Finishing Lap 1 in seventh, he methodically advanced through the field to round out the top five.
Just missing that mark, Chance Hymas was happy with his performance nonetheless. Healing from injuries suffered during the Pro Motocross and SMX championships, he carries Honda HRC on his shoulders, along with Jo Shimoda in the 250 West, now that both Lawrence brothers have been knocked out of the 450 class.
Detroit featured two scary moments for McAdoo. He hit the ground halfway through the feature, remounted his bike, and then crashed heavily as time was running off the clock. He posted an update on social media: 'Thanks everyone for your thought. We'll be good.' McAdoo finished last.

Fabio Quartararo injures shoulder in practice crash at MotoGP's Italian GP
MotoGP world champion Fabio Quartararo has been taken to hospital following a big accident during the first official practice session at this weekend's Italian Grand Prix. The Yamaha rider went down after just 10 minutes as the front of the bike got away from the Frenchman heading into the fast left-right sequence at Turn 4 in Mugello. Advertisement Quartararo's left shoulder hit the ground hard before he continued to slide into the gravel along with the bike. The 2021 world champion spent a prolonged period lying in the gravel trap, clutching his left shoulder which had been dislocated. Quartararo then had his shoulder popped back into place on the spot. It was clear that he was in pain, but he was adamant about getting back to the garage to continue the session, even arguing with the marshals about the quickest way to recover his Yamaha. After returning to the pits, Quartararo was examined by Angel Charte, the championship's medical director, who performed an initial assessment. Quartararo was then given an anti-inflammatory so he could return to the track. He popped it back into place himself, as he's done on other occasions,' Charte commented after the session. Despite the discomfort, Quartararo finished the session in fifth which moved him directly into Q2 for Saturday's qualifying. His participation for the rest of the weekend, however, depends on him receiving the all-clear from the hospital. Chance Hymas injures knee in High Point Nationals incident
Chance Hymas dabbed his right knee on the final lap of Moto 2 of the High Point Nationals and will be evaluated this week. Honda HRC has not yet provided a timeline for his return. Tom Vialle passed Hymas on the final lap of the second race, and with that move, Hymas dropped to fourth in the overall standings. It is unlikely he would have been able to conduct his podium interview in any event. Hymas rode directly to the Honda HRC hauler and was helped off the bike. Advertisement Hymas has a history of ACL injuries, but his previous two knee injuries were to his left knee. "All we know right now is that his right knee, definitely something's going on there," Lars Lindstrom said on the SMX Insider post-race show. "Unfortunately, we know a lot about these injuries with the other riders that we've worked with and then, obviously, Jett [Lawrence] this year. so, I'm not really sure exactly, the prognosis, of course. It seems like the ACL seems intact, but we've said that before. So, right now, we just know that his right knee is definitely injured and we're going to have to go see a specialist and see exactly what is going on." Hymas won his second Pro Motocross overall the previous week with a perfect round in which he was fastest qualifier in both sessions, earned holeshots in both motos, and led every lap on his way to a 1-1 sweep. High Point did not go as well. Hymas finished fifth in the first moto before recovering to ride second in most of Moto 2.
