Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council, Publicis Groupe launch 'Ra'idah' to empower women entrepreneurs

ABU DHABI (WAM)The Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council has signed a cooperation agreement with Publicis Groupe Middle East to launch a new initiative, "Ra'idah," a new initiative aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs in Abu Dhabi.Ra'idah is a year-long programme specifically designed to accelerate the success of women entrepreneurs by equipping them with essential skills and tools, particularly in digital and social media marketing, to drive business growth.Chairwoman of the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council, Asma Al Fahim, said that under the agreement with Publicis Groupe, the programme will support 10 women entrepreneurs in its first year.The collaboration will also feature interactive workshops and advanced training sessions, providing participants with critical skills and professional networks essential for long-term entrepreneurial success, she explained.
CEO of Publicis Groupe Middle East & Türkiye, Basil Kakish, commented, 'Through this partnership, we aim to equip women entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to scale their businesses. We are honoured to support Abu Dhabi's vision of fostering entrepreneurship and to work alongside the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council in expanding knowledge and unlocking new opportunities for women in business.'

GCC visitors spending expected to reach $223.7 billion in 2034: GCC-Stat

21 June 2025 16:04 MUSCAT (WAM) The latest data released by the Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Gulf (GCC-Stat) revealed that the expected spending by visitors to GCC countries is projected to reach $223.7 billion in 2034, while the expected contribution of incoming visitor spending to total exports will reach 13.4%.The Centre also indicated that GCC countries are achieving steady progress in many tourism-related data demonstrate that total international visitor spending in GCC countries amounted to $135.5 billion in 2023, with a 28.9% increase compared to the figures recorded in GCC countries ranked first in the Middle East and North Africa region's 2024 Safety and Security Index. All GCC countries scored above the regional average of 5.86 points, taking into consideration that the index ranges from 1 to 7 points. They also ranked among the top 6 countries in terms of passport power in the Arab region.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has delivered a message from UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. The "written message" focused on strengthening bilateral relations between the UAE and Canada, national news agency Wam reported. Sheikh Abdullah also held talks with Prime Minister Carney at the start of his working visit to the country. The two sides discussed ways to deepen cooperation and expand joint collaboration across various sectors to advance shared interests. The talks also explored opportunities for further collaboration in key sectors including trade and commerce, energy, AI and education. During his visit, Sheikh Abdullah also held talks with Anita Anand, Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs and François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Finance and National Revenue. His discussions with Minister Champagne focused on enhancing cooperation in economic and financial fields, including developing mechanisms to support investment between the public and private sectors in both countries.
