Co-driver killed in crash at Jim Clark Rally
A co-driver in the Jim Clark Rally has been killed in a crash at the event in the Scottish Borders.
Emergency services were called to the incident near Duns at around 10:50.
The 39-year-old man died at the scene. The 27-year-old driver was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.
Organisers, the Jim Clark Memorial Motor Club, said the remainder of the event and Sunday's Jim Clark Reivers Rally had been cancelled.
Police Scotland said that no one else was injured in the crash
Supt Vincent Fisher said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the man who has died and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
In 2014, three spectators were killed at the rally when a car competing in the event veered into a viewing area.

Man dies after multiple-vehicle crash near downtown Sacramento
A man who was rushed to a hospital after a multiple-vehicle crash near downtown Sacramento died Sunday evening, police said. Shortly after 7 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department said the area near 16th Street and E Street was closed due to a crash. Police said there were reports of a three-vehicle crash and that one person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. In an update around 9 p.m., police said the man died at the hospital. His identification has not been released. Details about what led up to the crash are not known at this time. Motorcyclist dead after I-695 crash near Perring Parkway, state police say
A motorcyclist died after a crash involving another vehicle on the inner loop of Interstate 695 on Sunday that at one point closed all lanes of traffic. The crash was reported at Exit 30B for MD-41 Perring Parkway. Though the State Highway Administration initially advised the public to use an alternate route because all lanes were closed, one lane has reopened as of 10:27 p.m. Sunday. The crash was reported at about 9:05 p.m., according to the Maryland State Police's Golden Ring Barrack duty officer. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
