Watch: Apple Employee Interrupts Keynote Speech At WWDC Event

Last Updated:
The disruption erupted during the keynote address at Apple's prestigious Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025.
A protester briefly disrupted Apple software head Craig Federighi's opening remarks at the company's esteemed Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025. The incident comes days after a Microsoft event was interrupted in a similar manner.
The man strode onto the stage, unzipped his jacket to expose a keffiyeh (a headgear often used to show support for Palestine) and displayed what looked like an employee badge. The protestor yelled, 'I work at Apple," according to witnesses, but much of what he said was muffled out by the chaos.
Within seconds, security intervened and removed him from the venue. Despite the interruption, Federighi continued speaking and completed the presentation without reacting.
Many X (formerly Twitter) users shared the video, describing it as one of the biggest disruptions ever witnessed at a WWDC event.

One X user wrote, 'Hot damn. An actual protest at Apple Park. I can't make out what they are shouting, but they are being escorted out sharpish."
'Good for him. While humanity keeps suffering, someone still fights for good in this world of pathetic human beings," a comment read.
Apple has not yet responded to the situation with a formal statement.
The WWDC 2025 incident is another incident in a string of protests against major tech companies. It highlights growing internal opposition within digital corporations regarding the firms' relationship with Israel.
Similar instances occurred during Microsoft's Build conference in May, where a number of protestors disrupted main events to voice their disapproval of the company's cloud computing contracts with the Israeli government.
An engineer, Joe Lopez, disrupted CEO Satya Nadella's keynote speech to accuse the tech giant of being close to the Israeli military amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Another presentation, by Jay Parikh, the head of Core AI, was interrupted.
In April, Indian-American software engineer Vaniya Agrawal confronted Satya Nadella and Bill Gates at Microsoft's 50th anniversary celebrations, accusing them of being responsible for the casualties in Gaza.
'Fifty thousand Palestinians in Gaza have been murdered with Microsoft technology. How dare you. Shame on all of you for celebrating on their blood," Vaniya Agrawal said before being led away by security guards.

Israeli Prez, Defence Minister thank Trump for striking nuclear sites in Iran

Tel Aviv: Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Sunday expressed gratitude to US President Donald Trump for carrying out military strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, calling it a "decisive moment" between the axis of terror and that of hope. This comes as Trump announced that America had bombed three nuclear sites in Iran and warned Tehran of further precision strikes unless it ended its confrontation with Israel. The targeted locations reportedly include the highly fortified Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan nuclear facilities. Taking to X, Herzog posted, "In the pages of human history, this is a moment when the principles of liberty, responsibility, and security have triumphed. A decisive moment between the axis of terror and evil and the axis of hope. Thank you, US President Donald Trump. Thank you, United States of America." "This brave step serves the security and safety of the entire free world. I hope it will lead to a better future for the Middle East -- and help advance the urgent release of our hostages held in captivity in Gaza," he added. Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz also hailed the strikes carried out by the US and Israeli military on the Iranian nuclear sites for the "peace and security" of both countries. Taking to X, he congratulated Trump on his "historic decision" to destroy the three nuclear sites in Iran so that it is assured that Tehran does not have nuclear weapons that "would endanger Israel and the countries of the region, and the national security interests of the United States itself." Katz also congratulated Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for leading 'Operation Rising Lion' and the "fight against the Iranian nuclear program and the close relationship with the United States, on this great and historic achievement." "The alliance between the United States and Israel is stronger than ever for the peace and security of both the countries and the entire free world," he added.

Key US military bases in Middle East face increased risk amid Iran retaliation threats

US military bases in region brace for potential Iran retaliation The US military is on elevated alert across key installations in the Middle East after President Donald Trump confirmed airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities. As of June 22, 2025, no direct Iranian response has been confirmed, but Iranian officials have warned of consequences for both Israeli and American actions. US military bases in Iraq, including Al Asad Airbase and Erbil Airbase, are among the most exposed to Iranian retaliation. These locations have previously been targeted by Iranian ballistic missiles and proxy rocket attacks. In Syria, US forces stationed near al-Tanf also remain within range of Iranian-backed militias. Both bases host thousands of US personnel and advanced aircraft, including surveillance and bomber support. Regional air defense systems in the UAE and Saudi Arabia have been placed on alert. Iran has not formally announced a military response. However, statements from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the foreign ministry suggest that US assets in the region could be subject to reprisal if Tehran assesses that the strikes were coordinated with Israel's earlier attacks under Operation Rising Lion. Live Events US defense officials have declined to comment on troop repositioning or any changes in readiness levels but confirmed that force protection measures have been increased. Commercial flights near Iranian airspace have also been redirected in anticipation of potential escalatory moves. The risk calculus for Washington is further complicated by the presence of US military forces in the Red Sea and Eastern Mediterranean, where naval assets remain within range of Iranian drones and missile capabilities. As the situation unfolds, officials across the region are preparing for multiple contingencies involving cyberattacks, militia activity, and direct strikes on US military bases.

Israeli military says two waves of missiles launched from Iran

Israel's military said on Sunday (June 22, 2025) it had detected two waves of missiles fired from Iran, as air raid sirens rang out in Tel Aviv and explosions rocked Jerusalem. 'A short while ago, sirens sounded in several areas across Israel following the identification of missiles launched from Iran toward the State of Israel,' the military said in a statement. U.S. strikes Iranian nuclear facilities LIVE updates 'At this time, the (Israeli Air Force) is operating to intercept and strike where necessary to eliminate the threat.' A similar statement about another wave of missiles was issued 30 minutes later before the alert was lifted at around 8:10 am (0510 GMT). Earlier in the day, in inserting itself into Israel's war against Iran, Washington unleashed its massive 'bunker-buster' bombs on Iran's Fordo nuclear fuel enrichment plant. Those bombs were widely seen as the best chance of damaging or destroying Fordo, built deep into a mountain and untouched during Israel's weeklong offensive. A US official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss the operation before an official briefing, confirmed their use in Sunday's attack. The U.S. is the only military capable of dropping the weapons, and the movement of B2 stealth bombers toward Asia on Saturday had signalled possible activity by the US Israeli leaders had made no secret of their hopes that President Donald Trump would join their week-old war against Iran, though they had also suggested they had backup plans for destroying the site.
