The chart is key to this update.
(GCM25)
From last week,
The failure to make a new high in the area of a 78.6% retracement (also a major Gann square) hit the first target of 78.6% the other way at 3268.00 per the ONE44 78.6% rule and we will now see if it is also the end of the Bull run for now. It traded below the short term target of 3164.40, but never closed below it, this was 38.2% back to the 11/14/24 low and a major Gann square. This will be the key level for next week.
Use 3164.40 as the swing point for the week.
Above it, being a 38.2% retracement, holding it can send this market to a new high per the ONE44 38.2% rule. The longer term target is 78.6% back to the 4/22/25 high at 3430.00. The short term target area is the 3356.70 major Gann square and 61.8% back to the same high at 3366.00. Any rally that can't get above 38.2% of the same move at 3273.00 is very negative and a new low can quickly follow.
5/25/25
After spiking below 38.2% at 3164.00 (also a major Gann square), but never closing below it, it has rallied $200 and now hit the short term target area of the 3356.70 major Gann square and 61.8% back to the 4/22/25 high at 3366.00, this will be the key level for next week. We will use the ONE44 61.8% rule to get the short term downside target.
Use 3366.00 as the swing point for the week.
Above it, The low on 5/15/25 held 38.2% at 3164.40 and following the ONE44 38.2% rule we are still looking for a new ATH from it for the long term target. The short term target area is 78.6% of the same move at 3430.00 and the 3446.00 major Gann square.
Below it, a setback from a 61.8% retracement can send it 61.8% the other way at 3220.00 per the ONE44 61.8% rule, this is the short term target. The long term target area is 78.6% of the same move at 3178.00 and the 3164.40 major Gann square. Any setback that holds 38.2% at 3276.00 keeps the short term trend extremely positive and a new high can quickly follow.

‘This is a Chaos Trade,' Says Investor About Palantir Stock

The international storm clouds have grown darker throughout 2025, with geopolitical flashpoints popping up left and right. In part due to these tensions, Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ:PLTR) – which touts its capabilities in the defense and security sectors – recently reached an all-time high this week. Confident Investing Starts Here: Easily unpack a company's performance with TipRanks' new KPI Data for smart investment decisions Receive undervalued, market resilient stocks right to your inbox with TipRanks' Smart Value Newsletter The company has been riding a supercharged wave of growth, demonstrated in its most recent earnings report. Record revenues and a 'Who's Who' of clientele – including NATO, Qualcomm, and a slew of others – have given investors plenty of confidence in Palantir's ability to continue growing. Of course, the big (perhaps, only) caveat when it comes to Palantir is the company's inflated valuation, which is trading at an EV/EBITDA ratio north of 700x. One investor known by the pseudonym Weebler Finance thinks that the expensive Palantir is appropriate, in no small part because it could be a safe harbor during times of turmoil. 'While Palantir appears overvalued by traditional metrics, its explosive growth trajectory could justify its high multiples if geopolitical catalysts continue,' explains the investor. Weebler points to the company's Maven Smart Systems, a central component of its defense-related AI offerings. Maven has seen its usage double in less than half a year, which the investor notes is a strong indication that sovereign nations are going to increase their engagement with Palantir. 'I believe that this exponential ramp-up reflects growing institutional dependence,' adds Weebler. 'The company is uniquely positioned to actually benefit from crisis-driven demand.' Moreover, the investor notes that Palantir's products become 'deeply wired into core workflows,' meaning that replacing the company is no easy feat. Regarding its valuation, while admittedly expensive, Weebler believes that PLTR's share price can be justified if the company can achieve 75% EBITDA growth year-over-year for 2025. Pointing out that Palantir grew by 210% in 2023 and 120% in 2024, this seems like a reasonable assumption to Weebler – especially given the situation around the world. 'Palantir is a company primly suited to thrive in times of geopolitical turbulence,' concludes Weebler Finance, who rates PLTR a Buy. (To watch Weebler Finance's track record, click here) Wall Street offers a mixed picture when it comes to Palantir. With 3 Buy, 10 Hold, and 4 Sell ratings, PLTR has a consensus Hold (i.e. Neutral) rating. Its 12-month average price target of $104.27 has a downside of ~25%. Advantages of Social Security Privatization, According to Experts

If you want to get people worked up, ask a small group of friends what they think of Social Security privatization. Privatization refers to the idea of shifting the management and funding of retirement from the government to individuals. In other words, rather than paying Social Security taxes as part of FICA, you would keep the money and invest for retirement on your own. Experts have dramatically different opinions on privatization, with some fearing that it will lead to more people entering retirement with little to no financial resources. Those arguing in favor of privatizing the program take a completely different view. Here's how they believe the change would benefit the average American worker. Higher returns Imagine that a portion of your Social Security taxes were invested in a personal account rather than used to fund current retirees' benefits. You could invest in stocks and bonds to your heart's content. In fact, you could invest in any vehicle you believe will provide a strong return. Compounding interest One of the beauties of investing is the way compound interest can significantly increase your retirement savings over time. As long as you begin investing early and are consistent, proponents of privatization believe you're in a position to build up more money than you could ever collect through Social Security payments. More flexibility Proponents believe that Americans will appreciate the ability to invest their retirement savings where they want. Rather than paying it into a program supporting current retirees, they can choose where their money will go. However, the open question becomes: What happens to the millions of current retirees when workers stop paying into the system? Focus on personal responsibility Read any message board, and you're likely to find plenty of people with an opinion about Social Security privatization. It's been a hot-button topic since President George W. Bush first suggested it in his 1978 Congressional race, then pushed for it again following his successful 2004 presidential campaign. Since that time, the subject has been supported by a rotating cast of politicians, who claim it will put the responsibility for saving on individuals rather than allowing them to depend on the government to provide a safety net. While this reasoning overlooks the fact that Americans spend decades contributing to the system and Social Security has never been a public assistance program, it does appeal to the "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" crowd. Greater financial literacy Proponents believe that pushing Americans to invest on their own means greater financial literacy among the masses. It's also believed that it will foster a culture of savings and investment. While this may be true for some, it's fair to imagine that wealthier Americans can afford to pay financial planners to help them make the most of their investments, while workers living paycheck to paycheck may have trouble saving the funds at all. It's likely that most people would like to save for retirement, but not everyone can afford to do so. The good news is that plenty of people are actively involved in seeking a solution to potential Social Security shortages. It may turn out that some form of Social Security privatization -- such as a hybrid system that allows you to continue paying into the current system while setting aside some money to make your own investments -- will be the answer. Or, it may be something entirely different. While proponents of Social Security privatization offer numerous potential advantages, it's yet to be seen if anyone will come up with a better solution. The $23,760 Social Security bonus most retirees completely overlook If you're like most Americans, you're a few years (or more) behind on your retirement savings. But a handful of little-known "Social Security secrets" could help ensure a boost in your retirement income. One easy trick could pay you as much as $23,760 more... each year! Once you learn how to maximize your Social Security benefits, we think you could retire confidently with the peace of mind we're all after. Join Stock Advisor to learn more about these strategies.
