Chrysler has recalled over 200,000 Ram vehicles after discovering the cars' rearview cameras may not properly display images.
The parent company of Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is Stellantis.
According to a May 21 notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recall applies to more than 235,000 Ram ProMaster vans with model years between 2022-2025.
The vans' rearview cameras may not display an image and instead show up as a blank image, reducing the driver's view behind the car.
"If the driver does not heed the blank screen warning and fails to otherwise make sure it is safe to operate the vehicle in reverse, a vehicle crash can occur," the recall report says.
Here's what to know.
About 235,000 Ram vans are included in the recall. The models include:

Drivers who own a car included in the recall can bring it to a Chrysler/Ram dealer to update the camera security software free of charge, NHTSA said.
Owners will be notified via letter beginning June 19. Customers can also contact Chrysler at 800-853-1403 and mention 40C, the number for this recall.
Both the NHTSA recall database and USA TODAY's recall database for car and motor vehicle recalls are regularly updated with the latest status on vehicles, car parts or car accessories.
To check if your car has been affected, car owners can either search their car's make or model in USA TODAY's recall database or look it up on NHTSA's website.
The NHTSA website also has a feature that allows you to search directly using your vehicle's license plate number or vehicle identification number. The site also provides information about recalled car seats, tires and other equipment.

Killer Roads In Dallas: What Highways Ranked Among Nation's Most Dangerous?

A new report examining tens of thousands of U.S. roads shows that some Dallas area highways rank among the deadliest in the country. Future Bail Bonds study examined data from 96,000 roads nationwide from 2019 to 2023. Three Dallas County highways ranked among the 150 deadliest roads in the country. The report leveraged the latest National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) data. I-30 was found to be the deadliest roadway in Dallas, recording 76 fatal wrecks during the examination period. Nationwide, it ranked 23rd overall in terms of fatalities and the fourth-deadliest in the state. This is not the first time I-30 has been included on a list of the most dangerous roads. Earlier this year, The Dallas Express detailed a report from that ranked the interstate the fifth worst for fatalities in 2022. According to the latest study, two other local roadways were listed among the top 150 deadliest. Loop 12 ranked No. 115 in the United States, registering 45 fatal wrecks between 2019 and 2023. I-635 was listed at No. 132 in the country, recording 43 crashes during that period. I-15 in San Bernardino County, California, which runs from Southern California to Las Vegas, was considered the deadliest road in the country. The roadway logged 196 fatal car crashes in the reporting period. Within Texas, I-45 in Houston had the highest number of fatal vehicle wrecks at 88. The roadway from Dallas to Galveston was considered the 16th deadliest in the nation. 'From 2019 to 2023, motor vehicle crashes claimed 186,284 lives across 96,257 roads in the United States, underscoring the persistent danger on American roadways,' the report said, per CultureMap Dallas. In 2024, the Dallas City Council passed a measure to lower the speed limit from 70 to 65 miles per hour on a portion of U.S. 75 Central Expressway that is considered particularly dangerous. As part of its Vision Zero plan, the city has targeted eliminating all traffic-related deaths and cutting severe injury crashes by 50% by the end of the decade.

This Gorgeous, 1-of-26, Piece of American Automotive History Can be Yours on BaT

The 1950s were a hotbed for independent automotive innovation. It was a time when lax rules and regulations meant that automakers and regular Joes could create what they thought was the next best American automobile. Although already an established name by that time, Hudson was not averse to embarking on new projects. One of those new projects gave birth to what I strongly believe to be one of the most unique cars to have ever seen the blacktop, and one of them is now for sale on Bring a Trailer. The Hudson Italia was created when Hudson's chief designer, Frank Spring, saw the publicity Chrysler had created with their Ghia-bodied creations. The Italia was bodied by the Italian Touring Supperleggera coachbuilding company, with some unique touches that truly gave it a jet-era look that would fit right at home in the Jetsons. The bodywork featured an inverted "V" centered in the front bumper, V-shaped brake-cooling scoops above the headlights, a wraparound windshield, brake-cooling scoops, upper door edges contouring into the roofline, and triple chrome tubes recessed into the rear fenders for the rear lights. A prototype was shown at various Hudson dealers around the country, with just 25 other examples produced between 1954 and 1955 before Hudson merged with the Nash-Kelvinator Corporation to form American Motors Corporation. This particular 1954 example, chassis 10007, was reportedly displayed at the 1954 Paris Motor Show before moving to Sweden in July 1955 with its first owner. It saw several more owners throughout the 1970s before another Swedish owner kept it for 22 years. It was later purchased by its current owner and imported to the US in 1999. Its 202ci Twin-H L-head inline-six was overhauled in 2011, and replacement twin Carter carburetors were installed. The bodywork was left unpainted and shows numerous patina scars, including dents, patches, primer, and a damaged windshield. It is also unfortunately missing its bumpers, which adds a tremendous amount of style to the car. The car retains its column-shifted three-speed manual transmission, four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes, independent front suspension, as well as its red and black leather upholstery that was reportedly re-dyed. Matching red carpeting was seemingly installed, but the dashboard and terrific-looking, wrapped two-spoke steering wheel remain intact. It sits on factory 15" Borrani wire wheels with wide whitewall tires that will absolutely need replacing. The odometer currently shows around 61,000 miles. Space-age, jet-era, regardless of what you want to call it, the time period of the Hudson Italia gave birth to some truly stunning moving art. As much as seeing this car in a shiny, period-correct paint job would be stunning, preserving it in its current worn state entices me more. Cars are only original once, and erasing the dents and scratches that help tell this piece of history's story is almost a tragedy to me. Regardless, the Bring a Trailer auction ends in 5 days with a current bid of a mere $10,000. The seller claims that many spare parts come with the car and that they have even 3D-scanned a fully restored Italia that the future owner of this one can use to make parts. It is definitely a daunting project, but how often do you get such a chance? Copyright 2025 The Arena Group, Inc. All Rights Reserved.
