With two challenge wins to her name, Fourie has already proved herself a force to be reckoned with. She won the judges over with a mouth-watering orange and poppy seed cake in the Mother's Day challenge, and followed it up with a winning mushroom fagottini – an Italian-inspired stuffed pasta dish. All her recipes can be found on The Taste Master SA's website for viewers and foodies to try out.
Fourie grew up in the Lowveld and began cooking and baking with her grandmother at just five years old in their family-owned hotel, the Böhm Zeederberg Country House in Hazyview.
'I remember preparing snacks for the guests with my grandmother in the kitchen and enjoying the new things I learnt from her,' Fourie shared.
She also learnt to cook in her mother's restaurant, the Bohemian Groove Cafe, situated in her hometown, Kaapsehoop. She was a learner of Hoërskool Nelspruit and competed in a few cooking competitions. In Grade 11 she won her first cooking competition, 'Skole Kook' in Mpumalanga with her team in 2017.

South African sporting weekend: Time to line-up some chores as we scrape the barrel

South Africa's Brad Binder will be hoping for a better for performance at the Italian MotoGP Grand Prix. Image: Lluis Gene / AFP This weekend could be the ideal opportunity to catch up on those chores that you have been ignoring since the start of the year. A bit of gardening, a bit of DIY around the house. Spend some time with the in-laws. It's the weekend to get your tax return in order and the ideal dust off that old gym card and do a bit of cardio. This is not the weekend you're going to spend on the couch and channel hop while watching your favourite sports teams in action. It's rather slim pickings, I'm afraid. Friday night is decent, with our first glimpse of the British and Irish Lions ahead of their tour of Australia, while the Proteas Women start their T20 series against West Indies. But Saturday and Sunday is looking rather dire, with only Brad Binder in the MotoGP, Mamelodi Sundowns in the Club World Cup and the second T20 between the Proteas and the Windies of national importance for - as sports minister Gayton McKenzie puts it - 'the best sports nation in the world'. Next Stay Close ✕ There's not a lot of rugby on Saturday and Sunday, as the Springboks' international season only kicks off next Saturday with a clash against the Barbarians in Cape Town. Rassie Erasmus' men will then play a two-Test series against Italy before concluding the winter window with a match against Georgia. The only Test match this weekend is the British and Irish Lions' match against Argentina on Friday night (9pm). That match is essentially a warm-up for their tour Down Under, which starts next Saturday with a game against the Western Force. The Super Rugby final between the Crusaders and the Chiefs could be a good watch to see how New Zealand rugby is going ahead of their Test series against France and Rugby Championship, which will see them host the Springboks in Auckland and Wellington later this year. After last week's gripping World Test Championship final, the Proteas men will enjoy a two-week break before getting back into action in a two-Test series against Zimbabwe away. England vs India should make for some good viewing for lovers of Test cricket, but it's not going to conjure up the same emotions we experienced last weekend. However, the Proteas Women are in action on Friday night and Sunday afternoon in the shortest format after they beat the Windies in the ODI series. The team will be involved in the Women's ODI World Cup in October and will definitely be worth the watch to see the next generation of Proteas greats. Sundowns' match against German giants Borussia Dortmund is probably the highlight of the weekend. It will be a fascinating watch to see how the Betway Premiership giants go against one of the best club sides in the world.

Jessica Alba's surprise cameo in KATSEYE's ‘Gabriela' goes viral

Hollywood royalty Jessica Alba has stunned fans with a surprise cameo in the music video for KATSEYE's latest single, Gabriela. Released on 19 June, the teaser video has already set the internet ablaze. KATSEYE, the international girl group formed by HYBE and Geffen Records, is no stranger to making headlines. But this time, it's Alba's unexpected appearance that has everyone talking. The teaser opens with the six members—Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae—dressed to impress. They serve up a powerful performance. Each member shines, showing off their unique personalities and emotional depth. The video oozes drama, inspired by the classic telenovela style, with a retro twist that feels both fresh and nostalgic, according to Chosun . Then, just as viewers are drawn in, Jessica Alba appears. It's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, but it's enough to send fans into a frenzy. 'Expect an unpredictable twist, tension, and a story full of interesting characters,' teased HYBE and Geffen Records. Alba's cameo has sparked wild speculation about her role in the full video, which drops on 20 June. The single Gabriela is a blend of sophisticated pop and Latin-inspired acoustic guitar. It's catchy, vibrant, and showcases KATSEYE's vocal prowess. The group's sensual energy is unmistakable. 'We poured our hearts into this song,' said member Sophia. 'It's about longing, conflict, and finding your voice. And having Jessica Alba join us? That's a dream come true!' Since 17 June, KATSEYE has been releasing a series of photo looks, each one capturing the emotional tug-of-war at the heart of Gabriela . The anticipation is building, not just for the single, but for the group's upcoming EP, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS . This record, set for release on 27 June, will feature Gabriela alongside tracks like Gnarly , Gameboy , Mean Girls , and M.I.A. . The global appeal of KATSEYE is undeniable. Their diverse line-up and international sound resonate with the Rainbow Nation's love for fresh, cross-cultural music. And Jessica Alba's cameo? It's the sort of star power that turns a music video into a must-see event. As the world waits for the full release, one thing is clear: KATSEYE and Jessica Alba have set the stage for a music moment that's impossible to ignore. WATCH: Grand collapse at the museum - tourist sits on a priceless crystal chair and breaks it!

Museums are like giant 'Do Not Touch' signs with exquisite lighting. And yet, for some of us (yes, me included), the temptation is just too strong. I mean, if something has survived 4,000 years, surely it can survive a gentle, reverent touch - right? That was my logic years ago when I lovingly ran my fingers over an ancient Egyptian stone tablet in the Nubian Museum in Aswan. The hieroglyphics were breathtaking, and I was completely entranced… until a very polite curator tapped me on the shoulder and explained (with a smile that said 'you silly tourist') that no, the artefacts are not meant to be stroked like a golden retriever. The priceless crystal chair incident that has sparked online cringe Fast-forward to today, and it turns out I'm not alone in my museum misdemeanours. In Italy, a crystal chair inspired by Vincent van Gogh's famous 1888 painting Van Gogh's Chair was recently damaged by a tourist who did more than just look - he sat. Yes, really. CCTV footage from Palazzo Maffei in Verona shows a man and woman taking turns to pose next to the museum's prized piece, a Swarovski crystal-covered chair by Italian artist Nicola Bolla, created between 2006 and 2007.
