Bajwa leads with the bat as Canada easily defeats the Bahamas in T20 cricket match
KING CITY - Dilpreet Bajwa's half-century helped Canada to a 107-run cricket win over the Bahamas on Thursday in the NoFrills Quadrangular T20I Series.
Canada won the toss at the Maple Leaf Cricket Ground and elected to bat, finishing at 210 all out in 19.5 overs. In response, the Bahamas finished at 112 for seven in its 20 overs.
Bajwa slammed three fours and two sixes in his 33-ball 50-run knock. Nicholas Kirton added 42 runs for Canada while openers Yuvraj Samra and Aaron Johnson each scored 34 runs.
Opener Marc Taylor led the Bahamas with 61 runs. Canadian bowlers Ansh Patel and Samra each took two wickets.
The Canadian men take on the Cayman Islands on Friday.

Newsweek Sports reported his comments: "The way they got this thing fixed, where if you win, you're in. That can't be right. You got somebody that's 30th in points that's going to make the playoffs. Hey man, what happened to the guy that 15th, or 16th, or 18th (that's) been running good (and) finished good everywhere? "You're making a championship situation by winning a road course, which is not really NASCAR to begin with. From that standpoint, I think they're going to have to jockey around and change some of this kind of stuff."

Another 59 on Korn Ferry Tour! Myles Creighton chips in to break 60
Another Korn Ferry Tour round, another sub-60 score. This time it was Myles Creighton, who fired an 11-under 59 in Saturday's third round of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Wichita Open. Creighton's performance, which was capped by a chip-in birdie, comes just two days after Adrien Dumont de Chassart shot 59 in Thursday's first round at Crestview Country Club. Unlike Dumont de Chassart's 59, Creighton achieved his score without preferred lies in effect. There have now been 15 scores of 59 or better in KFT history, seven of which have come in the past three seasons. It's also the second time that there have been two sub-60 scores in the same tournament, following the 2024 Astara Golf Championship, where Cristobal del Solar carded a record 57 in the opening round before Aldrich Potgieter followed with a 59 the next day. Creighton parred the par-4 first hole before rattling off four straight birdies. He bogeyed the par-4 eighth but sandwiched that with birdies at Nos. 7 and 9 to notch a front-nine 30. His inward 29 included four straight birdies as well, at Nos. 13-16, before his final-hole heroics at the par-4 18th. CHIP-IN FOR 59!!! Myles Creighton with a shot of the year contender. Creighton's 59 pushed him to 15 under for the tournament. He led by a shot when he finished his round, though the lead groups were just making the turn. Korn Ferry Tour pro Myles Creighton shoots 59 with a bogey at the 2025 Wichita Open
A golf pro made history Saturday morning. Myles Creighton became the first Canadian player to ever break 60 on the Korn Ferry Tour. He fired an 11-under 59 in the third round of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Wichita Open at Crestview Country Club. Not only did Creighton shoot 59 — he did it with a bogey. The 29-year-old from Nova Scotia made 12 birdies and just five pars to go along with that one blemish on the par-3 8th hole. He played his final six holes 5 under. And to add to the drama, he needed this chip to fall in for birdie on the 18th to secure the sub-60 round. Quade Cummins and Harry Hillier shared the lead at 13 under entering Saturday's third round, but before they could even tee off, they both found themselves two behind the new solo leader, Creighton, who started the day at 4 under, nine shots back, and finished 15 under to enter Sunday firmly in contention. Oh yeah, and he made an ace on Friday. Creighton recently competed in his national open — the PGA Tour's RBC Canadian Open — where he shot even par through two days and narrowly missed the cut.
