Another 59 on Korn Ferry Tour! Myles Creighton chips in to break 60
Another Korn Ferry Tour round, another sub-60 score.
This time it was Myles Creighton, who fired an 11-under 59 in Saturday's third round of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Wichita Open. Creighton's performance, which was capped by a chip-in birdie, comes just two days after Adrien Dumont de Chassart shot 59 in Thursday's first round at Crestview Country Club.
Unlike Dumont de Chassart's 59, Creighton achieved his score without preferred lies in effect.
There have now been 15 scores of 59 or better in KFT history, seven of which have come in the past three seasons. It's also the second time that there have been two sub-60 scores in the same tournament, following the 2024 Astara Golf Championship, where Cristobal del Solar carded a record 57 in the opening round before Aldrich Potgieter followed with a 59 the next day.
Creighton parred the par-4 first hole before rattling off four straight birdies. He bogeyed the par-4 eighth but sandwiched that with birdies at Nos. 7 and 9 to notch a front-nine 30. His inward 29 included four straight birdies as well, at Nos. 13-16, before his final-hole heroics at the par-4 18th.

Creighton's 59 pushed him to 15 under for the tournament. He led by a shot when he finished his round, though the lead groups were just making the turn. Pierceson Coody eagled the par-4 11th to jump Creighton and move to 16 under.
The 29-year-old Creighton, a Canadian who turned pro out of Radford in 2018, entered the week No. 74 in KFT points. This is his second season on the KFT after he finished second in points during the 2023 PGA Tour Latinoamerica campaign. His previous low round in PGA Tour-sanctioned competition was 62.

Adrien Dumont de Chassart had a 59 in the opening round at Crestview Country Club. Creighton had 12 birdies and one bogey, on the par-3 eighth hole on a day when the wind gusted to 38 mph. Crestview is 6,910 yards and plays to a par 70, with both par 5s just over 500 yards and two of the par 4s measuring at under 350 yards. It was the second time in two years at a Korn Ferry Tour event that two players had sub-60 rounds in the same week. Cristobal Del Solar of Chile set the Korn Ferry Tour record with a 57 in the opening round of the Astara Golf Championship in Colombia. The next day, Aldrich Potgieter of South Africa shot 59. Neither went on to win the tournament. There have 18 sub-60 rounds on tours around the world since 2023, including a 59 on the PGA Tour this year by Jake Knapp at the Cognizant Classic. NASCAR Insider Proposes Races in Canada and Europe after Mexico Success

Following NASCAR's first international points-paying Cup Series race beyond the borders of the USA in Mexico last weekend, former NASCAR driver, commentator, and analyst Kyle Petty has proposed that the sport must consider racing in Canada and Europe. The race in Mexico's Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez saw a huge crowd turnout, prompting Petty to point out NASCAR fan bases in international locations. While Canada is one option, given the close proximity to America, he suggested a one-time race in Europe, especially after NASCAR pitched a custom Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 to compete in the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans. Speaking to George Howson on Motorsport Reports, Petty said: "Obviously, if we're opening up Mexico, then I think we should take a look at Canada. I would like to see that. There are so many race fans. If you go to Michigan, Watkins Glen, you're right along the Canadian border. There's so many Canadian fans that come over. ... So I look at that and I say, Yeah, those are no-brainers to me. Newsweek Sports reported his comments: "The way they got this thing fixed, where if you win, you're in. That can't be right. You got somebody that's 30th in points that's going to make the playoffs. Hey man, what happened to the guy that 15th, or 16th, or 18th (that's) been running good (and) finished good everywhere? "You're making a championship situation by winning a road course, which is not really NASCAR to begin with. From that standpoint, I think they're going to have to jockey around and change some of this kind of stuff."
