Jordan has issued a strong warning about the catastrophic consequences of the severe escalation currently unfolding in the region.
In an official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called for unified efforts to immediately end the escalation and to protect the region as well as international peace and security from sliding further into conflict and war.
The ministry expressed deep concern over the recent targeting of Iranian nuclear facilities and urged an immediate halt to hostilities. It called for a return to negotiations aimed at reaching a political solution to the Iranian nuclear issue.
Dr. Sufian Al-Qudah, the ministry's spokesperson, condemned the ongoing escalation in the region and emphasized the importance of respecting international law, the UN Charter, and the sovereignty of states.
Al-Qudah stressed the urgent need for the international community to act decisively to halt the dangerous deterioration threatening regional security and stability. He called for effective political pathways to resolve all crises in the region, based on international law and relevant UN resolutions, in a manner that respects the rights of peoples and the sovereignty of nations.
