conductor demanding fare from them despite they having valid bus passes, DC (Panchkula) Monika Gupta has directed immediate action.
The DC instructed the GM of Haryana Roadways to replace the conductor and ordered an inquiry into the matter. Students also complained that the conductor frequently skipped designated stops, causing inconvenience to daily commuters.
The directive came during the DC's third overnight stay programme at Govt Senior Secondary School in Mandhana village, Morni block, where she heard and addressed public grievances.
Out of 35 complaints received from villagers, several were resolved on the spot, while instructions were issued to address the rest promptly. Women-related issues were given priority.
Recognising academic excellence, DC Monika Gupta honoured top-performing 12th-grade students — Gauri, Neha, Pallavi, Palak, Lakshmi, Deepa, Priya, and Deepika — for their outstanding results. She also congratulated DEO Satpal Kaushik for the school's 100% pass rate and expressed hope that the students would bring further glory by topping the district next year.

Basavasagar dam reaches full capacity; all gates opened
Kalaburagi: The Basavasagar reservoir, located in Narayanpur village in Yadgir district, reached full capacity in June, for the first time in its 15-year existence. Authorities opened all 25 gates, releasing 75,015 cusecs of water into the Krishna River, while issuing warning to people residing downstream of the dam. During March and April, farmers near the command areas of Narayanpur left and right bank canals struggled to protect their rabi crops. The situation evolved into a political controversy, with parties engaging in accusations. Despite the reservoir filling up over two months, the accumulated water necessitated release into the Krishna River. The reservoir's storage surpassed 80%, holding 28.2 TMC of water against its full capacity of 33 TMC. By June 13, it reached 84.7% capacity. Initially, two gates released 12,600 cusecs of water. On June 14, authorities increased the discharge by opening seven gates, releasing 29,220 cusecs of water. Later that day, 52,704 cusecs of water were discharged through 14 gates. Although the outflow decreased temporarily, by June 18 evening, 51,475 cusecs of water were released through 17 gates. From June 19 morning, 75,015 cusecs of water were discharged into the Krishna River through 25 gates. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trade Bitcoin & Ethereum – No Wallet Needed!
