WNBA Responds to Angel Reese's Pregame Outfit Before Chicago Sky Game
WNBA Responds to Angel Reese's Pregame Outfit Before Chicago Sky Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The WNBA issued a response on Saturday to one of its rising stars' pregame attire before the Chicago Sky and Phoenix Mercury game on Saturday. Advertisement Before the contest got underway, the league posted a short video of Sky forward Angel Reese arriving at Wintrust Arena in Chicago wearing an eye-catching outfit. The former LSU Tiger was seen wearing a white and black Chanel shirt, a red pocketbook and a camo-colored skirt. She accessorized the outfit with a gold watch on one hand and bracelet on the other alongside a leopard print headscarf to cover her hair, which the WNBA couldn't get enough of. 'Leading the league in boards and serving looks 😮💨,' the post's caption reads. Reese leads the league in rebounds per game with 11.7 heading into Chicago's 12th game of the season. Prior to the Sky's game against Phoenix, she had also been averaging 11.0 points per game, netting her a double-double stat line. Advertisement In Chicago's last outing against the Washington Mystics, the Sky lost 79-72, although Reese was able to put up a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. However, the 23-year-old forward committed seven turnovers, which prevented her team from gaining any sort of momentum. Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese (5) shields the ball from Phoenix Mercury forward Alyssa Thomas (25)Rick Scuteri-Imagn Images Despite the disappointing statline, she recently recorded her first career triple-double by ending the Sky's 78-66 triumph over the Connecticut Sun on June 15 with 11 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. She also recorded three blocks and two steals by the end of her team's third victory of the season. The Sky-Mercury game tipped off at 1 p.m. ET on ABC from Wintrust Arena. Sky's Angel Reese arrives in style to clash with Fever
The post Sky's Angel Reese arrives in style to clash with Fever appeared first on ClutchPoints. For many basketball players, a pregame outfit is about more than convenience or practicality. Arena entrances have become akin to red-carpet appearances or fashion shows. Athletes frequently take full advantage of the opportunity to express themselves, and sometimes they put together an ensemble that has people feeling a bit perplexed. Chicago Sky star Angel Reese went all out before Saturday's prime-time matchup against the Indiana Fever. Advertisement The 2024 All-Star did not let a fairly warm evening rob her of a chance to flaunt some of her eye-catching winter attire. Reese arrived in the United Center dressed in all black, wearing a trench coat with a fur collar, a fur hat, thigh-high boots and sunglasses. She perked up at the sight of the Sky's camera man and proceeded to enter model-mode, breaking into poses that rival Derek Zoolander's classic Blue Steele look. 'A couple more {pictures},' Reese urged, via the WNBA X account. Angel Reese gets people talking The Sky's showdown with a Caitlin Clark-less Fever squad is part of the WNBA Commissioner's Cup, so perhaps the second-year forward is merely dressing for the occasion. Reese is among the most polarizing talents in the league and knows her attire and actions will be heavily scrutinized. She obviously does not care, however, and is perfectly content with the massive following she has built throughout her basketball career. Advertisement Reese's confidence appeals to those many supporters, as does her play. The 23-year-old is averaging a double-double in the early portion of the 2025 WNBA campaign, leading the league with 12.3 rebounds per contest. She is struggling profusely on offense — shooting 31.1 percent from the field — but Chicago trusts its franchise pillar to find her offensive form soon. Angel Reese and the Sky won back to-back games versus the Dallas Wings after starting 0-4. They suffered an embarrassing 35-point loss at Indiana in the season opener on May 17. A much better showing will be expected, nay demanded on their home floor. Based on her attire, Reese is certainly thinking big. We will see if the audaciousness translates to the court. Chicago trailed 41-28 at halftime. Related: Hailey Van Lith's 'heartbreaking' reaction to Courtney Vandersloot injury Related: Why United Center fell short of capacity crowd for Sky vs. Fever game

Bad Bunny Says It Is Silly To Complain About His Job
It's fair to say that Bad Bunny is one of the hardest-working music artists in the game right now. Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio went from the barrio to the Billboard charts, becoming one of the first Latin artists to sell out stadiums around the world, even breaking the record for most tickets ever sold in Spain (he's set to perform 12 shows there on his upcoming tour). In a June 18 interview with Variety, the Puerto Rican superstar spoke to his work ethic as a music artist and celebrity. When his comments went viral, the fans were eating it up just as much as his boricua beats. In the interview, discussing his upcoming residency and tour surrounding his sixth studio album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, Benito got real about what's expected of him as he embarks on one of the biggest tours of his career. "At times, I do think, cabrón, what I'm signing up for is a lot," he said. For context, Benito is set to perform a 30-night residency at the Colseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, not too far from where he grew up from July 11 to Sept. 14, and then he's going on a 56-date world stadium tour from November 2025 to July 2026. Basically, he's booked and busy. "But the way I see it, I'm not a doctor; I'm not a teacher; I'm not someone who has to wake up every morning at 5 a.m. to lay down concrete on a busy road to survive," Benito continued. "My job is to fucking sing, and even though it comes with its own set of sacrifices, it feels silly to complain about it." When Benito's comments on the pressure of fame started to make their rounds on the internet, like in this Reddit thread, a lot of people had something to say about it, many praising the three-time Grammy winner for his honesty. Here are some of my favorite comments. "He's a man who got famous as an adult and has managed to become the hometown hero of Puerto Rico, which he obviously put in the work to deserve. It's not necessarily easy to handle, but you can compare that to what a lot of women and people who start as child stars go through. Good for him that he feels this way about it, but I'm not shocked that it's not a common perspective. If he can avoid the toxicity of overwhelming greed and not chase being a billionaire or whatever, he might actually stay happy," a Reddit user shared. Another Reddit user said, "Finally someone with some common sense. I'm so tired of celebs complaining how hard their job is, having never worked a real job in their lives. Like, sure, the pressure must be a lot and paparazzi and public scrutiny, but that's nothing compared to some annoying boomer manager breathing down your neck 24/7 or a customer having a screaming meltdown over a difference of 28 cents or cleaning up vomit, etc." "I appreciate the humility but the more artists downplay the work they put in the more the public does as well. EVERY job has pros and cons so please remember that. He is lucky to have the job he has but it's not like many of them don't work hard for it. 💙" X user wrote. This Reddit user wrote, "He has the right attitude and a healthy perspective." "Good way of putting it, everything is relative and even with fame and money and privilege you can still stress and be sad and be overwhelmed at times, but still understand and be grateful for what you have," another X user wrote. "I truly wish more celebrities and influencers had enough self-awareness to realize that publicly whining about their privileged lives doesn't hit the way they think it does," another Reddit user added. Finally, this Reddit user said, "It doesn't even sound like he's saying that as a performer you can't have bad days or struggle in/with your career, it more so sounds like he simply thinks it's in poor taste to publicly lament about how hard you have it since it's a highly privileged profession." What do you think about Bad Bunny's take on the pressures of being a famous singer? Let's talk about it in the comments.
