As of April 25, Ransom Canyon has racked up 56 million watch hours, according to Netflix Tudum. Meanwhile, the show's creator, April Blair, has revealed to Deadline that the writer's room is already buzzing with preparations for a second season.
With the show's success comes a new focus on its lead actors, and in particular Minka Kelly after she pushed for pay equity with Duhamel. She negotiated with Netflix to be paid the same as her male co-star, per Deadline, but in the end both parties decided on a significant raise for her instead.

'I think that's probably one of the best things about working with Netflix, is that they're very pro that. So I didn't have to fight very hard. They sort of made that easy,' Kelly told the outlet during an interview.
