The surprising detail on Meghan Markle's latest post promoting her As Ever brand

The surprising detail on Meghan Markle's latest post promoting her As Ever brand

Daily Mail6 hours ago

Meghan Markle has shared a sweet handwritten note through her As Ever lifestyle brand to thank fans for being 'the sweetest' - but a digital mark still managed to get through on the pen and ink missive.
Shared on the official As Ever Instagram page, a photograph of the note featured intricate calligraphy that reads: 'You're beautiful. Full stop.'
The note was placed in the centre of the photograph on a marble kitchen countertop, surrounded by ingredients and baking utensils.
In one corner, two eggs lay beside a rolling pin, and in another corner is a bunch of fresh thyme.
The Duchess of Sussex 's hand can be seen in the left hand bottom corner of the image.
The countertop is also scattered with flour, appearing as though she was in the midst of baking.
But on the left edge of the image, above Meghan's hand, a rogue black mouse cursor can be seen, suggesting the image appears to be a screengrab.
It's not the first time a member of the royal family has made a blunder with images they've released. The oversight on Meghan's As Ever post brings to mind the Princess of Wales's Photoshop saga, which caused a huge stir last year.
Kate Middleton had released a photograph of her and the Prince of Wales's three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven, surrounding her in a hug for Mother's Day.
However, it transpired that the image had been manipulated, leading to it withdrawn with a 'Kill' notice by international picture agencies just hours after it was released. The Princess later issued an apology and admitted to 'occasionally experimenting with editing'.
In Meghan's most recent post for As Ever, she captioned it: 'It's true. From our hearts to your homes, thank you for being here. You're the sweetest part of what we do!'
Meghan's message comes after she released new products under the brand earlier this week, including a Napa Valley rosé wine, an apricot spread and a new honey.
She unveiled the trio of new As Ever products alongside a restock of six items from her first batch, which was released two months ago.
The brand's first batch of nine products, all of which sold out within an hour of release, included raspberry spread in keepsake packaging for $14 (£10) or a normal jar for $9 (£7), with the brand describing the collection as being 'infused with joy, love, and a touch of whimsy'.
Others were flower sprinkles for $15 (£11), wildflower honey with honeycomb for $28 (£21), a crepe mix and a shortbread cookie mix with flower sprinkles, both $14.
Meghan also brought out three types of herbal tea also came out at the same time - hibiscus, lemon ginger and peppermint - for $12 (£9) each.
The new rosé wine released this week is Meghan's first foray into the wine market, sourced from the famous Napa Valley region of California, up the west coast from her Montecito mansion.
The 2023 wine, which will be available to buy from July 1, has been described by her brand as having notes of 'soft notes of stone fruit, gentle minerality and a lasting finish' and a 'bespoke blend' which is 'launching just in time for summer entertaining'.
One of the other new products is a $28 (£21) 'limited edition' orange blossom honey which Meghan said had a 'beautiful golden hue, an enticing aroma, delicate floral notes and subtle citrus undertones' and would be 'a standout addition to your pantry'.
The other new item is the apricot spread - one in keepsake packaging at $14 (£10) and the other just in a jar at $9 (£7). Meghan said this 'newest spread balances a delicate sweetness and a gentle brightness that lets this beautiful stone fruit shine'.
The brand's description adds that the spread is 'made with gorgeous fruit and a touch of sweetness, letting the apricot's bright flavor shine' and that the 'smooth texture and gentle tartness pair beautifully with everything from toast to cheese boards'.
The spread and the honey were both shown as having sold out within minutes.
When the items were announced, Meghan said: 'We are pleased to share that many favourites from our debut As Ever collection are back – and, we've added something new. We hope you find some special treats that bring extra joy to you and your loved ones.'
Meghan first announced the beginning of her As Ever brand in February. It was originally set to be called American Riviera Orchard, but she was forced to rebrand after a trademark issue.
Explaining the change to fans through her own Instagram account, Meghan said: 'Last year, I had thought, 'American Riviera', that sounds like such a great name. It's my neighborhood; it's a nickname for Santa Barbara, but it limited me to things that were just manufactured and grown in this area.
'As Ever essentially means as it's always been, and if you've followed me since 2014 with The Tig, you know I've always loved cooking and crafting and gardening — this is what I do,' she said.
'And I haven't been able to share it with you in the same way for the past few years, but now I can, so as things are starting to trickle out there, I wanted you to hear it from me first'.

He picked Irish beauty Megan before getting her to lay on her tummy on the floor. Conor then hovered above her as they giggled and he said: "Pump." Tommy, who Megan is currently coupled up with, watched on in horror and shook his head. Welsh beauty Emily, who Conor said he was most invested in, then said: "If he carries on, he'll never find out how I am in bed." Elsewhere in the racy game, Helena lands on a dare and Dejon dares her to kiss the person that she'd chose to recouple with, she kisses Harrison. When she pulls a truth card, Harry asks Megan how she genuinely feels about Conor. She tells the group: 'Me and Conor got on from the start and that got cut short so I feel like there's unfinished business there, as you would say [Harry]'. Toni is asked how she feels to know that Harrison isn't just interested in her, given Helena's kiss in her dare. Toni responds 'When we talk to each other, he says the best chats are with me so he knows where home is'. Terrified Love Island star reveals relief after 'surviving' hot air balloon ride Yasmin then puts Harrison on the spot: 'Do you think the best chats are with Toni?' Harry is dared to kiss the Islander he's best suited to whilst Shea is dared to tell each Islander the first word he thinks of them, to mixed reactions. In the teaser trailer for tonight's episode, which was shared with viewers on Friday night, In the brief clip, it was clear that Tommy snogged Welsh beauty Emily as Irish beauty Megan looked on in horror. Tommy is coupled with Megan, but now it looks like there might be tension between the two. He then sensationally smooched Shakira as well. Meanwhile, the real bombshell of the game looked to be Shakira's steamy smooch with Harry. In the teaser clip's edit, it seemed as though the Islanders were asked to snog who they'd most like to be coupled up with. It then cut to Shakira smooching Harry as Helena and Ben looked at their current love interests with disgust. "Is that Shakira and Harry kissing?" said one viewer in reaction to the teaser clip, at the time.
