WACO, Texas (FOX 44) – Senior citizens in Waco will be celebrating Valentine's Day in a fun way!
The Forever Young Valentine's Dance: An Evening for Seniors is taking place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Waco's Performing Arts Community Center (PACC), located at 924 Austin Avenue. This free event is designed especially for the senior community, and offers a night of delightful music, dancing, and mingling.
Attendees can savor a delicious selection of food and wine as they reconnect with friends, make new memories, and enjoy the lively, romantic atmosphere. Whether you're coming with a partner or solo, everyone is welcome to celebrate love, friendship, and the joy of togetherness!

Anne Burrell reflected on settling down with her husband after ‘living the rock star chef life' before her death
Anne Burrell shared insight into her life months before her tragic death on Tuesday. The celebrity chef was found unresponsive in the shower at her home in Brooklyn, New York before being pronounced dead at the scene at age 55, police said. Just three months prior, Burrell went on Tori Spelling's 'misSPELLING' podcast, where she dove into marrying her husband Stuart Claxton in 2021. Along with a husband, Burrell also gained a stepson Javier. 'Kids were never on my radar, really,' the cook confessed. 'I love being an aunt. I have nieces and nephews. It seems like it's been four minutes. I don't know if it's a honeymoon [phase] but I feel like it's settled into married life days which I really enjoy.' In honor of Valentine's Day in 2022, the step-mom gushed over her other half, penning, 'You make me the happiest girl in the world!!! I love you to the moon and back my sweet!!!' 'Anne and I hadn't lived together before we moved in and got married, so it's been a whole adventure, but very lovely at the same time.' Burrell is best known for hosting 'Worst Cooks in America' on Food Network for 27 seasons, from 2010 to 2024. After her passing, a representative from Food Network shared with The Post: 'Anne was a remarkable person and culinary talent — teaching, competing and always sharing the importance of food in her life and the joy that a delicious meal can bring. Pymatuning Lake Fest draws thousands to area
By WARREN DILLAWAY warren@ ANDOVER TOWNSHIP — The Pymatuning Lake Festival is a major draw, bringing thousands of people to the area the first weekend in August. The festival takes place along the beach at Pymatuning Lake Park, near the causeway that takes people to Pennsylvania. The event has been providing entertainment for decades. The event is sponsored by the Pymatuning Area Chamber of Commerce, with any proceeds going back into the coffers to fund the next year's festival, PACC Executive Director Lara Reibold said. She said the event will take place Aug. 2 and 3, and organizers are trying to keep costs down. She said $5,000 more in sponsorships will help families enjoy cheaper options for their children. 'We are trying to keep the costs down,' Reibold said. She said there will be ice skating, in addition to a climbing wall that come under a $5 cost for multiple experiences, but there are also free activities for children as well. A major highlight of the event is fireworks at dusk Saturday. 'This will be the 41st [festival]', Reibold said. Craft vendors are also a big part of the weekend, along with a variety of entertainment options. 'I have vendors that are coming from North Carolina, Virgina ... [and] Chicago,' Reibold said. The vendors area is spread through the large parking area adjacent to the waterfront, and entertainment occurs on a stage created just for the event. The entertainment schedule for the weekends includes Karissa Hoovler at 11 a.m. Saturday, followed by Workin On It Trio at 12:30 p.m., MMAD at 1:45 p.m., Rick Hornyak and Co. at 3:15 p.m., Aphrodite's Hero at 4:30 p.m., Brett Allen Morgan at 6:30 and Candace Campana at 8 p.m. On Sunday, Firmly Grounded kicks off the entertainment at 10 a.m., followed by the Bitter Sweet — Johnny Bauer Duo at noon; Dawn Savage at 1:30 p.m. and the Sounds of Elvis-Jim Felix at 2:45 p.m.

Savage X Fenty doubles down on inclusion, even as others pull back
For Savage X Fenty, the lingerie line founded by Rihanna, DEI is at the center of all that they do, chief marketing officer Vanessa Wallace said at a recent Axios event in Cannes. Why it matters: As many brands quietly retreat from diversity, equity and inclusion commitments, Savage X Fenty is leaning in, building its identity and commercial strategy around its brand values. What she's saying: "From the beginning, Rihanna has stood for inclusivity," Wallace said. "Savage X Fenty redefined what inclusive looks like in lingerie. We always say: it's not the size that defines you — it's your confidence." Zoom in: The brand's Valentine's Day campaign, Love Your Way, exemplified that ethos by spotlighting different forms of love — self-love, romantic love, sisterhood and friendship. "It wasn't about being disruptive," Wallace said. "It was about being true to who we are and giving people the power to define love for themselves." The intrigue: Because the company's values are so embedded and understood by its consumer base, there was very little pushback to the campaign, says Wallace. "The community applauded it," she says. "When I'm scrolling TikTok or reading comments, it's clear people recognized what we were doing. We're just showing up authentically — and always trying to elevate voices that aren't often heard." Zoom in: While "The Navy," Rihanna's fan base, remains central, the brand is also growing into mainstream retail.
