CMF Phone 2 Pro Gaming Test - Wuthering Waves, Zenless Zone Zero, Genshin Impact & PUBG Mobile
The Nothing Phone series has made a name for itself with its distinct visual flair, boasting an industrial, almost prototype-looking design for its mobile devices. In the same vein, its sub-brand, CMF by Nothing, features a clean yet unique modular aesthetic with its phone series, which debuted with the Nothing CMF Phone 1 in 2024.
A year on, CMF has unveiled its second iteration, the aptly named CMF Phone 2 Pro, offering the same modular case design alongside hardware improvements over its predecessor, like its slimmest and lightest chassis yet, measuring at a depth of 7.8mm and weighing a mere 185g, an advanced four-camera system, and a 6.77″ FHD+ flexible AMOLED display capable of delivering 1.07 billion hues of colour at a 120Hz refresh rate.
When it comes to performance, the device packs in the newly upgraded MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G processor with an 8-core CPU and 2.5 GHz clock speeds, with the company claiming that this provides 10% faster processing and a 5% improvement in graphics when compared to the CMF Phone 1. GPU-wise, the device is powered by the Mali-G615 MC2 mobile graphics processor, which is admittedly a step down compared to the more advanced Adreno chips in recent phones.
In practice, when put through the gaming gauntlet of Wuthering Waves , Zenless Zone Zero , Genshin Impact and PUBG Mobile , the device understandably struggles to hit the coveted 60fps in most titles, but it does impress in its ability to disperse heat and has great thermal management across the board.
Check out how the CMF By Nothing Phone 2 Pro runs in the video above, which covers performance indicators, starting temperatures, and more. The CMF Phone 2 Pro is out now at S$399 on Nothing.tech, Lazada, and Shopee.

'Dungeons & Dragons' Single-Player Game In The Works From 'Star Wars Jedi' Veteran
Giant Skull, a new game studio founded by Star Wars Jedi franchise and God of War 3 director Stig Asmussen, is hard at work on an upcoming single-player Dungeons & Dragons action adventure. The currently untitled project was announced by Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast, and follows previous reports that Giant Skull was making a new AAA single-player game built in Unreal Engine 5. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (2023) 'Our talented and experienced team at Giant Skull is built on creativity and curiosity,' Asmussen said in a statement. 'Our goal is to craft a rich new Dungeons & Dragons universe filled with immersive storytelling, heroic combat and exhilarating traversal that players will fully embrace.' Formed in 2024 after Asmussen left Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment a year prior, Giant Skull's leadership team also consists of lead producer Lauren McLemore ( Fortnite, League of Legends ), art director Patrick Murphy ( Valorant, Ratchet & Clank ), CTO Jon Carr ( Star Wars Jedi: Survivor ), design director Jeff Magers ( Star Wars Jedi franchise, Medal of Honor: Airborne ), animation director Brian Campbell ( Fortnite ) and COO/CFO Anthony Scott. Previous reports also indicated that the team consists of Rockstar alumni as well. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2019) Giant Skull's latest project is set to add another notch to publisher Wizards of the Coast's belt, joining a separate D&D action adventure game by Invoke Studios, the team behind 2021's Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance , alongside the sci-fi RPG Exodus , which will be helmed by Archetype Entertainment, a team made from former Mass Effect veterans. With Asmussen's impressive track record consisting of highly successful games like the Star Wars Jedi franchise, God of War II and its sequel God of War III , hopes are high that Giant Skull would be able to deliver an immersive story-focused adventure set in the captivating world of Dungeons & Dragons . The project is still in its infancy, although it was confirmed to be a multi-platform title and will launch on PC and consoles 'at a later date'. App of the Month: Splid (May 2025)
Good company makes for a good time, but it can also mean more work when it comes to calculating the bill. While some may find comfort in doing the math, others are often put off by the tedium of it all, especially with additional factors like multiple payees and uneven splits complicating matters. Taking the stress out of handling transactions is Splid, aptly conveyed through its tagline of 'Split bills, not friendships'. Designed to help users stay on top of their shared expenses and settle up in a fuss-free way, it touts a nifty slate of features, starting with a clean, straightforward interface that shows them who owes how much to whom after all the expenses are keyed in. There's no need for an Internet connection or account to reap the benefits, either. The app supports offline use and doesn't require sign-up to work, but going online will sync the group's spending. In more intricate cases where, say, not everyone orders the same serving or portion of food, the bill can be adjusted without being subjected to mental gymnastics. With over 150 currencies registered and the ability to automatically convert amounts into just one currency, Splid keeps up the convenience for travelling, allowing users to easily track their overseas spending and split costs while abroad. Those who want to download summaries as PDF or Excel files have to fork out a small sum of US$4.99, but otherwise, the app is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store for free.
