Our favorite Levoit air purifier is $37 off in this early Prime Day deal
We now know that the 2025 edition of Amazon's blockbuster Prime Day sales event will start on July 8, and it's set to be bigger than ever as it will run for four days. But you don't need to wait until then for tasty deals. There will be plenty in the lead up to the event, including this one for the Levoit Core 400S air purifier. At $183, the device is $37 off. It's not quite the lowest price we've seen for this model. However, it's not too far off that mark of $176. The Levoit Core 400S is our current pick for the best air purifier overall. Sure, it might not have the prettiest design of all the options we have tested and the companion app might have a little too much going on. But the Core 400S does its job and does it well. This smart air purifier is slated to clean the atmosphere in spaces of up to 1,733 square feet in as little as one hour. The Core 400S has a cylindrical shape with vents at the top and a touch display that shows air quality readings. You'll be able to get a sense of the current air quality in your space at a glance with a color-changing ring that will light up in blue, green, orange or red. The 360-degree filtration system is said to be capable of capturing over 99.9 percent of pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, such as dust, pet dander and pollen. There is an auto mode that should suffice for maintaining air quality, but the Core 400S is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant voice controls too. The fan isn't too loud, even when it's operating at maximum speed — the volume topped out at 62dB in our testing. Meanwhile, at $50 each, the air filter replacements aren't too expensive compared with those from many of Levoit's competitors.

GeekWire Podcast: Amazon, Microsoft, and the new AI playbook at work
Andy Jassy says AI will reduce Amazon's corporate workforce over time, due to efficiency gains. (GeekWire File Photo / Todd Bishop) Amazon just told its workers that AI is coming for their jobs. Microsoft says we're trapped in an 'infinite workday.' We can't tell the difference between humans and bots anymore, and Alexa is happy to laugh about it with us. This week on the GeekWire Podcast, we discuss how AI is transforming our local tech giants, changing the fundamental nature of work, and blurring the lines between human and machine. We dive into the memo that has Amazon employees either signing up for AI training or updating their resumes; unpack why you're answering emails at 10 p.m.; and explain how one of us ended up quizzing his dentist's office assistant (or was it an AI chatbot?) about whether he or she (or it?) was human. Then we ask the new Alexa+ what it (she?) thinks about the exchange. Welcome to the new world of work — where the bots are getting better at being human, the humans are working more like machines, and your boss can't tell if you're burnt out or just badly programmed. Amazon Isn't Waiting for Prime Day, This Three-Port USB-C Charger Is Almost Free
Anyone who has wrestled with a tangle of cables and chargers is familiar with the frustration all too well. Modern living means multiple devices and each one seems to have its own power source. That's why Amazon's latest deal is such a breath of fresh air: the Anker 65W three-port charger is available at an all-time low price and it's a smart buy if you're looking to simplify their power needs. Right now, the Anker Nano II 65W three-port charger is on sale for just $29, thanks to an extra coupon that brings the price down from its original $55. That's a solid 48% off the original price and it puts this powerful charger within easy reach for most shoppers. It truly is the single charger that most people will ever need for their daily tech. See at Amazon The selling point of the Anker Nano II 65W is its combination of speed, versatility, and portability. At full load, a single device plugged into the main USB-C port can receive up to 65W of power—enough to fast charge a 13-inch MacBook Pro at full speed. When several devices are connected, the charger intelligently divides power between the three ports to give each device its optimal charge without throttling. That means you can charge your phone, tablet, and laptop all at the same time. The Anker charger is about the same size as an AirPods Pro case so you can just slip it in a bag or even a pocket. In spite of the small size, it packs a heavy punch courtesy of innovative GaN II technology. This latest generation of gallium nitride (GaN) technology offers a 100% increase in operating frequency which is an innovative stacked architecture and an enhanced circuit board. At just $29, it's an absolute bargain especially when you consider the time, space, and frustration it can save you on a daily basis. See at Amazon
