Matt O'Riley Napoli transfer bid as Brighton talks underway
O'Riley has only spent one season with the Seagulls following his £30million switch from the Hoops last summer but it is thought he could be on the move again.
AS Roma were yesterday credited with an interest while Atalanta and Atletico Madrid both made offers while he was still a Celtic player.
It was claimed last month that O'Riley was attracting further interest from around Europe's top leagues.
Now, Sky Sports News are reporting Napoli have submitted £25.6 million for the 24-year-old.
Talks are set to be ongoing between the two clubs as the Premier League side negotiate for the sort of package they would be looking for.
O'Riley is understood to be seen to have a future at Brighton but they're also open to selling if their valuation is met.

If the Serie A champions are successful in their attempts to sign him, they would team him up with Scotland international midfielders Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour as well as former Manchester City superstar Kevin de Bruyne.
O'Riley recently revealed his frustrations at not being used in his favoured number 8 role by manager Fabian Hurzeler.
He said: 'I'm best at the number 8 position, where I can go box to box. I've only played two games there, otherwise I've been used as a winger, false number 9 or something else.
'It makes it difficult to show off when you play a position you're not completely happy with.
'I'm just giving my opinion. I can play better for the team if I play the number 8 position, but I can play well in other positions."

Jadon Sancho at centre of transfer battle as Juventus hold talks with Man Utd over outcast who is also wanted by Napoli
MANCHESTER UNITED outcast Jadon Sancho is being targeted by both Juventus and Napoli. Sancho, 25, returned to United after last season's loan stint at Chelsea, who paid their Premier League foes a £5million fee to cancel their initial agreement to sign him on a permanent basis. 3 However, there are still suitors keen to add the winger within their ranks during the summer transfer window. According to transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio, Juve are the latest interested party to swoop in for the England international. The Bianconeri have started talking with Man Utd about a possible deal the last few hours. This comes after Juventus' Serie A foes Napoli also expressed an interest for Sancho. But unlike the Old Lady, the Italian champions are speaking directly to the player's camp. Juventus have been keeping tabs on the ex-Borussia Dortmund star since last summer. The Turin giants expressed an interest before the forward moved to Chelsea on loan. Sancho is looking for a fresh start amid his ongoing struggles at Old Trafford. Napoli have already helped one of his former United team-mates turn his career around. And that is none other than Scott McTominay who helped Antonio Conte's side win the Scudetto. Liverpool set to launch bid for £70m Arsenal target
Liverpool are preparing to sign Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi ahead of Arsenal, according to reports. The Premier League champions are in the market for a new central defender as Jarell Quansah is now set to join Bayer Leverkusen in a £30 million deal, while Ibrahima Konate's contract is due to expire in 12 months' time. Arsenal have Guehi on their shortlist for the summer transfer window if they decide to make a move for a new centre-back, while his former club Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle United also remain interested. However, The Telegraph reports that Liverpool are now in the 'best position' to sign Guehi after agreeing to sell Quansah and are expected to make a 'significant offer'. Palace rejected a £70m offer from Spurs for Guehi in the January transfer window, while last summer, Newcastle saw four bids – the highest of which being £65m – turned down by last season's FA Cup winners. However, Palace are now in a weaker negotiating position as Guehi has just one year remaining on his contract, meaning that they risk losing him on a free transfer next year. Palace are already in talks with Sporting CP to sign their 21-year-old centre-back, Ousmane Diomande, as a replacement for Guehi. Speaking about his future before Palace's victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final, Guehi said: 'I think the most important thing is just always doing the best that I can for this football club. I come in every day and I try to be the same. More Trending 'I try to work hard. And you know, this football club has given me a lot. I'm still under contract at this football club, so my focus is always at this football club. 'So, you know, for me, the most important is just doing the best I can and seeing where the future holds.' Liverpool, meanwhile, are on the verge of finalising their £116m deal to sign Florian Wirtz from Leverkusen, with the midfielder arriving at the Premier League champions' training ground on Friday to complete his medical. Arne Slot's side have also agreed a £40m deal with Bournemouth to sign left-back Milos Kerkez. For more stories like this, check our sport page.
