'I went to Slot's house to discuss a transfer - he just told me how bad I was!'

During his Feyenoord days Arne Slot considered signing former Tottenham and Everton forward Arnaut Danjuma - only to tell him how bad he was when they met to discuss the move Former Tottenham and Everton star Arnaut Danjuma was once on Arne Slot's radar and the forward went to his house to discuss a possible move - only to be told "how bad he was" for an hour. That was during his Feyenoord days and a move never materialised. Danjuma, who has won six caps for the Netherlands, was at Villarreal who were competing in the Champions League. Feyenoord came knocking as they sought to bring him back to his homeland, but Slot was scathing in his assessment of the player. ‌ Danjuma played for Bournemouth, Tottenham and Everton during his time in the Premier League. He's now back in Spain with Girona but had numerous conversations with the Liverpool boss as a move was considered. ‌ However in a humbling meeting the forward, who had become one of the leading lights at Villarreal, met Slot but was told in no uncertain terms where his weaknesses were. He told Ziggo Sport: "At that time I had a really good conversation with Arne Slot. That was one of many times that there was contact. It's just to indicate that it's very contextual. At that time I had the luxury of going to Arne Slot's house and listening to him for an hour how bad I was. I'll never forget it." Despite having to face the music Danjuma was mightly impressed by Slot and the way he communicated with him. His prediction for him proved to be true with the Dutchman succeeding Jurgen Klopp and winning the Premier League in his first year despite few tipping Liverpool to land the title. He said: "I actually thought that was very strong. It convinced me of how good he is as a trainer. He opened his laptop and showed his plans and project. Everyone knew that Slot would be a good trainer. He showed me my own game. What I did well, but then also what I did badly, what I could improve. That also appealed to me immediately. "His way of doing things, his way of acting and his way of talking, were all things that made me think: this is someone I could play well under. In the end I didn't do it. At the time, Champions League football was also connected to it. So for me it's very contextual." Slot's composure and smart tactics earned huge praise during his first year in England. The Dutchman made subtle tweaks to aid the team that he inherited from Klopp. Now, after landing the title, he's looked to evolve the team and has been aggressive in the transfer market, breaking the British transfer record to land Florian Wirtz. Trump says two weeks is 'maximum' for Iran decision

by Naharnet Newsdesk 21 June 2025, 12:42 U.S. President Donald Trump said overnight that Iran had a "maximum" of two weeks to avoid possible U.S. air strikes, indicating he could take a decision before the fortnight deadline he set a day earlier. Trump added that he was not inclined to stop Israel attacking Iran because it was "winning," and was dismissive of European efforts to mediate an end to the conflict. "I'm giving them a period of time, and I would say two weeks would be the maximum," Trump told reporters when asked if he could decide to strike Iran before that. He added that the aim was to "see whether or not people come to their senses." Trump had said in a statement on Thursday that he would "make my decision whether or not to go within the next two weeks" because there was a "substantial chance of negotiations" with Iran. Those comments had been widely seen as opening a two-week window for negotiations to end the war between Israel and Iran, with the European powers rushing to talks with Tehran. But his latest remarks indicated Trump could still make his decision before that if he feels that there has been no progress towards dismantling Iran's nuclear program. Trump meanwhile dismissed talks that European powers Britain, France, Germany and the EU had with Iran's foreign minister in Geneva on Friday. - Europe 'didn't help' - "They didn't help," he said as he arrived in Morristown, New Jersey, ahead of a fundraising dinner at his nearby golf club. "Iran doesn't want to speak to Europe. They want to speak to us. Europe is not going to be able to help in this." Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said after the talks in Geneva that Tehran would not resume negotiations with the United States until Israel stopped its attacks. But Trump was reluctant. "It's very hard to make that request right now," Trump said. "If somebody's winning, it's a little bit harder to do than if somebody's losing, but we're ready, willing and able, and we've been speaking to Iran, and we'll see what happens." Trump meanwhile doubled down on his claims that Iran is weeks away from being able to produce a nuclear bomb, despite divisions in his own administration about the intelligence behind his assessment. Tulsi Gabbard, Trump's director of national intelligence, said in a report in March that Iran was not close to having enough enriched uranium for a nuclear weapon. "She's wrong," Trump said of Gabbard, a longtime opponent of U.S. foreign intervention whom Trump tapped to coordinate the sprawling U.S. spy community. Iran says its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.

Nomad Internet Launches First-Ever Nationwide Free Internet Service for RV Parks

AUSTIN, Texas, June 21, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Nomad Internet, America's leading provider of high-speed internet for rural communities and travelers, has announced the official launch of Nomad RV Free Internet , the first-of-its-kind, completely free Wi-Fi service built specifically for RV parks and their guests across the United States. With the goal to eliminate the digital divide for travelers, Nomad RV Internet is free to deploy, free to maintain, and free to use for both RV park owners and their guests. In a recent LinkedIn post , Jaden Garza (CINO Nomad Internet) said, 'The parks have been waiting for this solution for months. They want to provide seamless internet for their guests without the complexity of individual account setups.' With this unique initiative, Nomad Internet is transforming how connectivity is delivered to the RV lifestyle, empowering travelers with internet access they can count on, wherever the road takes them. A Nationwide Rollout: 4,000 RV Parks by Summer's End Nomad Internet is already in the process of launching this unique service in over 4,000 RV parks nationwide, aiming to cover roughly one-third of all RV parks in the United States by the end of the summer. Jaden said in another LinkedIn post 'Nomad Internet is uniquely positioned to deliver Wi-Fi coverage to nearly 4,000 RV Parks—representing approximately one-third of all RV parks in the United States.' The company plans to expand even further by year's end, with the long-term vision of making Nomad RV Internet a standard amenity in every park. 'Internet is no longer a luxury — it's a necessity,' said Jaden Garza. 'We're proud to offer a service that finally bridges the gap for millions of Americans who live, travel, or vacation in RVs. Our goal is simple: to deliver free, fast, and reliable Wi-Fi in every RV park across the country.' How It Works: The Nomad RV Wi-Fi Station At the core of this service is the new 'Nomad RV Wi-Fi Station,' a self-contained, battery-capable wireless internet unit that requires no existing infrastructure, wiring, or technical setup. Designed to be deployed by just plugging in the Wi-Fi Station, Nomad RV Wi-Fi Station: Connects to Nomad's private nationwide wireless network. Delivers high-speed internet access across the entire RV park. Offers consistent, secure, and maintenance-free service. Requires no tech support or investment from park owners. These stations are fully managed and monitored by Nomad's technical operations team, allowing park staff to focus on hospitality — not troubleshooting routers or fielding guest complaints about connectivity. Why Free? Fixing a Broken System For decades, RV parks have been expected to provide internet service as an amenity — yet the cost and complexity of doing so have created widespread frustration. Outdated infrastructure, poor service, and maintenance headaches have made the internet one of the most complained-about aspects of the RV park experience. Nomad RV Internet flips this model on its head Instead of forcing RV park owners to act as IT managers or invest in costly upgrades every few years, Nomad is offering a fully supported, always up-to-date network—at no cost whatsoever. Parks can easily sign up, plug in the Nomad Wi-Fi Station, and start providing premium-quality internet to every guest without any additional effort. Too many parks have had to choose between expensive tech or no internet at all,' Jaden added. 'We're removing that barrier once and for all.' Trusted by Thousands of Travelers Nomad Internet is already the largest internet provider for RVers and rural customers in the country. Known for its customer-first approach, blazing-fast service, and nationwide coverage, Nomad is trusted by digital nomads, remote workers, families, and retirees who rely on stable internet access wherever they go. Nomad RV Internet takes that commitment to the next level, transforming entire communities of travelers with the power of connection.
