Muscat: In alignment with Oman Vision 2040 and its strategic focus on youth empowerment & support to SMEs, Shabiba, the leading Arabic daily published by Muscat Media Group, is organising, Sout Al Shabiba – Tamkeen wa Ta'theer (Forum on the Voice of the Youth – Empowerment and Impact). The forum will be held on Monday, 23rd June, at Hotel JW Marriott, Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC), Muscat. Vision 2040 The key themes that will drive the day's discussions include Omani Youth and Vision 2040; fostering entrepreneurship and innovation; digital-era Omanisation and future skills; the role of SMEs in driving economic growth; In-Country Value (ICV) as a catalyst for developing local talent; and building green economy jobs for the future. Other focus areas include bridging the skills gap between education and industry, financing youth-led ventures, expanding the startup ecosystem, strengthening mentorship and leadership development, enhancing public-private partnerships for employment and innovation, enabling youth-led social impact, and building a resilient workforce equipped with soft skills for tomorrow's challenges. Oman Radio wins second prize in Arab Music and Singing Competition
Tunis: Oman Radio has secured second prize in the "Song" category of the Arab Music and Singing Competition, organised by the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) based in Tunis, for the song Mawtan Al-Jalal. The winning entry features lyrics by Hisham Al Saqri, composition and arrangement by Asaad Al Raisi, and vocals by Abdulhameed Al Kayoumi. The competition saw broad participation from Arab broadcasting entities, including both public and private radio stations, with 11 songs and 8 musical pieces submitted from Oman, Kuwait, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Yemen, Comoros, and Libya. Asaad Al Raisi, the composer and arranger of the song, stated that this achievement marks a significant cultural and artistic addition to Oman Radio's record in the Arab Music and Singing Competition under ASBU. The competition is among ASBU's cultural and artistic initiatives, launched as part of its ongoing efforts to support Arab musical and vocal creativity and advance Arabic musical culture.

Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan to begin official visit to Oman
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, will begin an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman on Monday, leading a high-level delegation. The Crown Prince will meet with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Sultan of Oman, during the visit. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, will also accompany the Crown Prince during the visit. The delegation includes several ministers and officials. Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, will join the visit. Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, Minister of Culture, will also be part of the delegation. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, will accompany the Crown Prince. Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Application, will also attend. Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Minister of State, will be included in the delegation. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, will participate in the visit. Abdulla Al Basti, Secretary General of The Executive Council of Dubai, will join the delegation. Lieutenant General Talal Belhoul Al Falasi, President of Dubai's State Security Department, will also accompany the Crown Prince. Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, will be part of the visit. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, Chairman and CEO of DP World, and Chairman of the Dubai International Chamber of Commerce, will complete the delegation.
