Chinese woman wears same make-up for 22 years, leading to severe allergic reactions
A Chinese woman from northeastern China has sparked widespread disbelief after revealing that her face became severely inflamed and disfigured due to allergic reactions after going two decades without removing her make-up.
In early June, a 37-year-old woman from Jilin province, known online as Niuyoumian and boasting nearly 30,000 followers, shared her predicament in a social media post.
The video showed her severely inflamed face, characterised by pronounced redness, swelling, itching, and covered in dense rashes, clearly indicating a severe allergic reaction. She described her condition as a case of 'hormone face'.

She disclosed that she had been wearing make-up since the age of 15 and, for 22 consecutive years, had never once removed it.
Her skin issues began when she started using acne cream at age 14 to treat pimples, which triggered allergic reactions.
She claimed that her condition worsened due to her modest family background, which forced her to rely on inexpensive liquid foundation.
While studying beauty and hairdressing, her exposure to various chemical substances, combined with her habit of wearing make-up for extended periods, further aggravated her existing skin problems.
In 2011, she began seeking cosmetic procedures, undergoing a series of facial injections that ultimately led to various levels of disfigurement.
