Israel claims killing Hezbollah, Hamas senior commanders
Shafaq News/ On Tuesday, the Israeli military announced the elimination of two senior militant commanders in separate operations in southern Lebanon and Gaza Strip. In Lebanon, Israeli forces targeted a vehicle in the town of Aitaroun, killing one civilian and injuring three others. Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee confirmed on X that 'the operation killed the commander of Hezbollah's Special Operations Unit in the area.' Lebanese authorities and Hezbollah have not issued a response. Despite the ceasefire agreement in place since November 27, Israel has continued airstrikes, particularly in southern and eastern Lebanon, reigniting the debate over Hezbollah's disarmament. According to Adraee's statement, Al-Ajla was responsible for weapons supply and combat support, replacing Haitham Rizk Abdul Karim Al-Sheikh Khalil, who was also killed in a previous strike. Israel signals major Gaza assault
Shafaq News/ Residents of eastern Gaza evacuated their homes on Friday after the Israeli military warned of imminent 'heavy' strikes on several districts. Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee warned in a post on X that civilians in Khuza'a and the Abasan al-Kabira and Abasan al-Jadida districts should move immediately to designated shelters in the southern city of Khan Younis. Khan Younis, which has also come under bombardment, remains one of the few zones designated by Israeli forces as shelter and has absorbed large numbers of displaced families. The military said the evacuations were intended to clear the way for a 'wide-scale operation aimed at destroying the military capabilities of terrorist organizations.' The warnings come amid a deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where nearly two million people have been displaced since the war began, according to United Nations agencies. Severe shortages of food, clean water, and medical supplies persist, and many families have been forced to flee multiple times as frontlines continue to shift. Earlier, Hamas said that Israeli prisoners held in Gaza face 'heightened risk ' due to Israeli military operations in evacuation zones. The Gaza Health Ministry revealed that at least 50,887 people have been killed since the conflict began on October 7, 2023, with thousands more believed to be buried under rubble. Another 115,875 have been wounded.

Gaza toll soars: 47 civilians killed in new Israeli strikes
Shafaq News / At least 47 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip early Thursday, as residential areas and shelters were hit, Arab media reported. Israeli fighter jets struck Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis, and Al-Mawasi, an area Israel has designated a 'safe zone.' Another strike in Gaza City's Al-Shuja'iyya neighborhood reportedly killed three civilians and injured over 15. Additional targets included the eastern outskirts of Abasan al-Kabira and the entrance to Khuza'a. In the past 15 days, Israeli attacks have killed more than 900 Palestinians, bringing the total death toll to 50,423 and the number of wounded to approximately 114,638, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. Israeli military ordered immediate evacuations from five neighborhoods in Gaza City, citing a planned intensification of operations. These orders have drawn renewed criticism, particularly as some 'safe zones' have also been bombed. Since then, over 142,000 Palestinians have been displaced, according to the United Nations. Regional and international leaders issued fresh appeals for de-escalation. Jordan's King Abdullah II cautioned that continued military action and forced displacement threaten to destabilize the broader region, warning that 'the security of the region is at risk.' Meanwhile, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz urged an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages, and a return to political negotiations. Speaking in Berlin, he pressed for 'an end to the war and a path toward reconstruction.'

Israeli army claims striking Hezbollah targets in South Lebanon amid escalating tensions
The Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee claimed in a post on his X account that the military conducted airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon in the latest escalation of violence along the border. According to Adraee, the military targeted Hezbollah's command posts, military infrastructure, launch pads, and operatives in the region. Israel strikes Syrian airbases in Homs
Shafaq News/ The Israeli military stated, on Tuesday, that it targeted two military bases in Syria's Homs province, marking the second such strikes within days. "The Israeli military struck remaining military capabilities at the T4 and Tadmur airbases in Syria," Israel army spokesperson revealed on X.
