Israel hits Iran's nuclear sites as Trump predicts regime collapse

Shafaq News/ The Israeli military announced on Wednesday that it has struck more than 20 military sites across Iran, including facilities tied to the country's nuclear weapons ambitions and anti-tank missile production lines reportedly linked to Hezbollah. According to Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee, the latest wave of airstrikes focused on key infrastructure within Tehran, targeting centrifuge production centers, research and development labs, and weapons manufacturing facilities. Adraee claimed these sites were instrumental in enabling Iran to enrich uranium for nuclear weapons. — افيخاي ادرعي (@AvichayAdraee) June 18, 2025 One of the airstrikes reportedly hit a facility producing anti-tank missiles intended for transfer to Hezbollah via third-party countries. Speaking to reporters in Washington, Trump said that the US has contingency plans for 'everything.' The president insisted the US does not seek war with Iran, but reaffirmed that preventing Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons remains a non-negotiable priority. 'We're not looking for a ceasefire—we're looking for total victory,' he declared. Trump noted that he had just discussed the situation with the Pakistani Chief of Staff and said he believes Iran was 'weeks away' from acquiring a nuclear weapon before the strikes.

Israel kills Iran's new war chief Ali Shadmani

Shafaq News/ The Israeli army announced on Tuesday the assassination of Major General Ali Shadmani, Iran's newly appointed Chief of War Staff and the highest-ranking military commander in the Iranian armed forces. In an official statement, the military said Shadmani was killed in a targeted airstrike, describing him as 'the top war planner and most senior military official in the Iranian regime.' His death came just four days after his appointment as head of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, replacing Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, who was killed on Friday during the first wave of Israel's Operation Rising Lion. #عاجل 🔻المدعو علي شادماني شغل منصبه كرئيس أركان الحرب في ايران وأعلى قائد عسكري والأقرب إلى المرشد الإيراني لمدة أربعة أيام فقط حتى قضينا عليه — افيخاي ادرعي (@AvichayAdraee) June 17, 2025 The strike marks the second assassination of a high-ranking Iranian war commander within a week. The announcement came hours after Iran launched a new barrage of missiles toward Israel. Israeli media reported that between 20 and 30 ballistic missiles were fired, two of which struck central Tel Aviv. Israeli medics confirmed that at least ten people were wounded in the attacks.

Top IRGC aerospace commanders killed as Israel–Iran conflict deepens

Shafaq News/ Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed on Sunday the deaths of seven senior commanders from its Aerospace Force, including its top general, in an Israeli missile strike. In an official statement, the IRGC identified the slain commanders as Major General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, Mahmoud Bagheri, Davoud Shekhiyan, Mohammad Baqer Taherpour, Mansour Safarpour, Masoud Tayeb, Khosrow Hosseini, and Javad Jarsara. They were reportedly accompanying Hajizadeh—who headed the IRGC's Aerospace Force and was one of Iran's most influential military figures—when their position came under attack. The escalation began on June 13, when Israel launched a surprise missile assault on Iranian territory, targeting critical military and nuclear infrastructure. Tehran retaliated the same night with a massive barrage of missiles and drones, in an operation it dubbed True Promise 3, hitting military and infrastructure sites deep inside Israel over two consecutive nights. The sustained attacks have caused dozens of casualties and extensive material damage on both sides, fueling global concern about the potential for a broader regional war. Earlier today, the Israeli army claimed responsibility for striking a nuclear facility in Isfahan, in the center of Iran. According to military spokesperson Avichay Adraee, Israeli forces targeted infrastructure related to uranium enrichment, accusing Iran of advancing a clandestine weapons program. — افيخاي ادرعي (@AvichayAdraee) June 15, 2025 There was no immediate comment from Iranian authorities on the alleged nuclear strike. Israeli Army: Over 100 Iranian drones launched toward Israel

Shafaq News/ The Israeli military announced Friday that Iran has launched more than 100 drones toward Israeli territory in what appears to be the Islamic Republic's first direct military response to Operation Rising Lion. An Israeli Army spokesperson confirmed the drone launches in an early morning briefing, stating that air defense systems across the country have been activated and are prepared to intercept any incoming threats. 'More than 100 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were launched from Iran in the past few hours,' the spokesperson said. 'We are monitoring their trajectory closely and coordinating with regional and international partners.' #عاجل اطلق النظام الإيراني في الساعات الأخيرة أكثر من 100 طائرة مسيرة نحو إسرائيل حيث تعمل كافة أجهزة الدفاع الجوي للتصدي لها — افيخاي ادرعي (@AvichayAdraee) June 13, 2025 The escalation comes after a wave of Israeli strikes targeted high-profile Iranian infrastructure, including the Natanz enrichment facility and key military command sites in Tehran, resulting in the deaths of several top IRGC commanders and nuclear scientists.
