Kitchener driver charged after utility trailer detaches from pickup truck on Highway 401
A driver from Kitchener has been charged after a utility trailer detached from a pickup truck on a busy highway in South-West Oxford Township.
Ontario Provincial Police were called to Highway 401 on Thursday around 7 p.m. They said a detached trailer was sitting in a live lane of traffic on the highway.
Officers were able to help, and no damage or injuries were reported.
However, a 44-year-old from Kitchener was charged with having an unsecured load.
