Why you can trust Sky News An investigation has been launched into the "unexplained" death of a two-month-old boy. Police Scotland said officers were made aware of an injured baby at Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital at about 12.30am on Wednesday 11 June. The force said the boy died a short time later and his family had been made aware. Sky News understands the incident in which the baby suffered the injuries did not take place at the hospital. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. "A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal in due course." NHS Grampian said it would be inappropriate to comment on an ongoing police investigation.

At around 7.15pm on Saturday police were called to a property on Mansfield Street. "Police's enquiries are underway to determine the full circumstances of the incident," a spokesperson said. "A scene examination is due to conclude today, and the post-mortem is currently taking place," they said. Members of the Newtown community can expect an increased police presence in the area while their enquiries are ongoing. Police have launched an investigation after the 'unexplained' death of a baby at home. Officers were called to an address in the Middlesbrough area of Teesside yesterday. The tot died at the scene and Cleveland Police have since been carrying out enquiries. A force spokesperson said: 'Officers were called to an address in Middlesbrough on Saturday, June 7, following the death of a baby. 'The death is being treated as unexplained and detectives have been carrying out some enquiries at the address. 'Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased child at this sad and difficult time.'

Police have launched an investigation after the "unexplained" death of a man found injured on a Slough were called to Furnival Avenue in the Berkshire town just before 16:20 BST on Valley Police said first aid was provided to a man in his 30s, but he died at the scene. The force asked any witnesses to get in investigator Det Insp Liam Butler said the circumstances of the incident were "not yet ascertained". "As such, we are investigating on behalf of the Coroner," he said."Although formal identification has not been confirmed, the man's next of kin are aware, and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time."
