Liverpool could offer Diogo Jota in SENSATIONAL forward deal
© IMAGO - Alexander Isak Liverpool A swap deal between Liverpool and Newcastle is plausible According to Anfield Index, Newcastle are interested in a number of Liverpool's fringe assets - such as Joe Gomez, Harvey Elliott and Bayer Leverkusen-bound Jarell Quansah. Advertisement Now, one more can reportedly be added to the list in Diogo Jota, who is 'seen as a potential attacking target for the Magpies this summer'. This specific link has not been backed up anywhere else, but given Newcastle's interest in £60m Joao Pedro at Brighton, it is plausible at least that Jota could be on their shortlist. Furthermore, the interest in Gomez has been longstanding and Elliott might feel like he is being actively pushed out the door by the arrival of Florian Wirtz, who will slot straight into the starting XI. Any of the those could easily leave this summer and Newcastle would be a beneficial environment for them to play in next season if any interest from the Magpies picks up as the summer progresses. Advertisement Moreover, Liverpool are said to be highly interested in Alexander Isak, who would be their 'dream' target for the striker role to replace Darwin Nunez, although a £150m price tag has been put on him. And then we have Anthony Gordon, who would fit in well on Liverpool's left-wing, but Luis Diaz would need to depart before a move could be discussed. Even then, the Reds already have Cody Gakpo who could step up in the Colombian's absence. Not only are both transfer targets unlikely moves, but they would have extortionate transfer fees. In order to sweeten the deal, Liverpool could use any combination of Elliott, Gomez or Jota as part of a swap plus cash negotiation, but we're being ambitious here to say the least. Nonetheless, movement between the two clubs would not be surprising in this transfer window.

Liverpool want deal for €35m Spain WONDERKID
Liverpool are eyeing up a deal for one of Spain's best young talents - who is currently starring at the UEFA Euro Under-21 Championship. The Reds have got big plans to overhaul their squad this summer - with Richard Hughes and Arne Slot willing to move on from several of their Premier League title-winning players. Advertisement Caoimhin Kelleher and Trent Alexander-Arnold have already gone - with Federico Chiesa and Darwin Nunez tipped to follow them out the door soon. And we could even see defenders like Andy Robertson and Jarell Quansah shipped out before the transfer window closes - with plenty of names earmarked to arrive at Anfield during the off-season. Liverpool scouting Jesus Rodriguez Jeremie Frimpong and Armin Pecsi are already onboard and Milos Kerkez as well as Florian Wirtz will soon be joining them as new Liverpool players for the 2025/26 season. Liverpool won't stop there - and the latest reports from ABC in Spain are that the Reds are looking at Jesus Rodriguez of Real Betis. Advertisement The 19-year-old has just enjoyed a breakthrough season for the LaLiga side, also finishing as a runner-up in the UEFA Europa Conference League. He is now firmly on the radar of many top European clubs, leading Betis to renew his contract last September until 2029. That deal has currently got a €35m buyout clause attached to it and reports indicate that Betis would like to increase that sum to €50m. Liverpool joined by Leipzig, Villa and Como in Rodriguez interest 'No official offers have been received, while the club waits expectantly to see what moves might come for their academy product,' the report reads. Advertisement Rodriguez, a winger, scored in Spain's U21 draw with Italy earlier this week and Spanish media report that Betis hope to see the player's value increase with more exposure in this tournament. The club plan to keep him for one more season - seeing another full campaign as potentially useful in raising his value even further. Manchester United given pathway to sign Bryan Mbeumo, thanks to release clause move from Brentford: report

Bryan Mbeumo is Manchester United's next target after landing Matheus Cunha. | Credit: Getty Images Manchester United have been determinedly chasing Bryan Mbeumo in the early part of this summer and may just have received a boost from Brentford. Advertisement The Red Devils suffered a difficult 2024/25, which saw them finish 15th in the Premier League and crash out at the final stage of the Europa League against Tottenham Hotspur. As such, they've hit the start of the transfer hard, paying the release clause for Wolverhampton Wanderers' Matheus Cunha, and they're already closing in on their next target. Manchester United given Bryan Mbeumo boost in Brentford's Metz chase Mbeumo has been Brentford's stand-out player this season | Credit: Getty Images Mbeumo is the next man in their sights, but with the Bees having just lost longstanding manager Thomas Frank to Tottenham, they seem reluctant to let the Cameroon international go unless they absolutely have to. Advertisement The west London club have reportedly already turned down a £55m bid, but may be more open to concluding the deal now they've landed on a target of their own. Brentford could be in for a transitional season after losing Thomas Frank and facing intense interest for Mbeumo | Credit: Getty Images According to a report from Africafoot, Brentford, along with Brighton and Crystal Palace, are interested in signing FC Metz winger Cheikh Sabaly. The 26-year-old, who is comfortable playing across the front three, has just had his best season to date, netting 15 goals and providing three assists in the French second tier, helping his side to Ligue 1 promotion. To top off a sparkling campaign, he netted one of the goals for Senegal in their recent 3-1 win against England at the City Ground. Advertisement Based on the report, Brentford are ready to activate the release clause in his Metz contract and offer the forward a four-year contract. Losing Mbeumo and Frank in one summer would mean a lot of change for the Bees In FourFourTwo's opinion, it will always help smooth a deal over if the selling club has a replacement lined up. Nevertheless, there's no denying Mbeumo is a special player, who was directly involved in 27 of Brentford's goals last season. If they agree a sale, whoever they bring in will struggle to completely fill the Cameroonian's shoes. Cheikh Sabaly is valued at €4m, according to Transfermarkt.

Bayer Leverkusen pushing to sign Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah
kicker reports that Bayer Leverkusen are pushing to sign Liverpool centre-back Jarell Quansah this summer. After the departures of Jonathan Tah and Odilon Kossounou, Leverkusen are short on defensive numbers. die Werkself need not only a replacement for the German but also need to boost their numbers in the backline. Advertisement Leverkusen have identified Quansah and AC Milan's Malick Thiaw as their top two targets in the defence. Quansah is currently the name that is linked the most with a move to the BayArena. Talks are said to be already underway for the 22-year-old. However, Leverkusen will not pay the €45m reported fee for the defender and would prefer a fee of €30m, which would still make Quansah Leverkusen's most expensive defender. When it comes to who will be the 'leader' of the Leverkusen defence going forward, that role could fall upon Edmond Tapsoba or Piero Hincapie; either can use the opportunity to further develop themselves in a quasi-leadership role. Then, when it comes to defensive numbers, Leverkusen also have Jeanuël Belocian and Axel Tape, who are on the younger side and can provide depth. GGFN | Jack Meenan
