Tractor-trailer goes off bridge near Old Mill Road in Chester County, Pennsylvania
A tractor-trailer went off the bridge on the Route 30 bypass near Old Mill Road in Sadsbury Township Thursday afternoon, Chester County dispatch said. The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to a hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time. Sadsburyville Fire Company No. 1 said on Facebook that the Route 30 bypass and Old Mill Road will be impacted for several hours until the area can be investigated and cleared. They also urge drivers to avoid the area and respect the fire and police officials when traveling in the area. Sadsburyville Fire Company No. 1 Facebook page. A lane restriction is in place on U.S. 30 Eastbound between Lincoln Highway and three miles west of the Coatesville exit due to fire department activity. The fire company said on Thursday that the Route 30 bypass is closed or will be closed in both directions, as well as Old Mill Road between Business Route 30 and Old Wilmington Road. Overturned rig blocks I-10; second truck crashes into wreck, FHP says
A tractor trailer on Interstate 10 in Gadsden County crossed the median, overturned and blocked oncoming traffic, causing another semi to wreck on the roadway, yet no one was hurt. Here's what happened, according to the Florida Highway Patrol: A tractor trailer driven by a 24-year-old California man was headed east on the interstate around 10:30 p.m. on June 14. Near mile marker 191 in Gadsden County, the driver ran off the roadway, overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn onto its side. It then skidded into the westbound lanes, blocking all of them. Another semi, driven by a 61-year-old Doral man, was headed west at that moment and "took evasive actions ... to avoid a collision but was unsuccessful," slamming into the overturned tractor trailer, a news release said. Neither truck driver was injured, nor was a 23-year-old passenger in the first truck, troopers said. The FHP does not name those involved in traffic crashes in its news releases. The Highway Patrol said it was assisted by the Gadsden County Sheriff's Department, Midway Police Department, Gadsden County EMS, Midway Fire Department, Quincy Fire Department, Wetumpka Volunteer Fire Department and Gretna Fire Department. Virginia State Police investigate crash on I-95 in Prince George. Two people were hurt
Two people were seriously injured in an early morning crash involving a tractor-trailer and two vehicles stopped along Interstate 95 in Prince George County. It happened shortly after 4 a.m. June 14 on northbound I-95 at the Carson rest area, State Police Sgt. Jessica Shehan said in an email. One car was parked on the right shoulder of the highway and another was stopped beside it in the right lane when a tractor-trailer ran into both vehicles. Shehan said one of the cars hit had been bought at an auto auction in North Carolina. The unidentified drivers were en route back to New York state when the crash occurred. They were taken to Bon Secours Southside Medical Center in Petersburg for treatment of serious but not life-threatening injuries, Shehan said. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt. An investigation is continuing into the crash, Shehan said. Charges are pending. Jackknifed tractor-trailer causing delays on Interstate 81 Southbound in Lebanon County
(WHTM) — A jackknifed tractor trailer closed Interstate 81 Southbound for about an hour at the Interstate 78 interchange and a lane remains closed at this hour. PennDOT said the crash happened around 7 p.m. at milepost 86. The lane closure is from Pennsylvania Routes 74 and 934 in northeastern Lebanon County. The trailer has been removed and the left lane remains closed as crews remove the truck. No word on injuries or when the highway is expected to fully reopen. This is a developing story. Bicyclist killed in KCMO after hitting tractor trailer
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Police Department says one person has died after hitting a tractor-trailer in Kansas City on Sunday, June 8. KCPD officers were called to the area of St. John Street and North Topping Avenue in regard to an injury accident. See the latest headlines in Kansas City and across Kansas, Missouri Investigation revealed that a bicyclist was traveling southbound on Topping, against one-way traffic, and hit the side of an eastbound tractor-trailer, KCPD said.
