Hugh Jackman struggles to sell tickets to his one-man show after messy split

Hugh Jackman is reportedly struggling to sell tickets to his one-man show just days before he's due to take to the stage. The Australian star is returning to New York next week with his concert show Hugh Jackman: From New York, With Love. However, there's some bad news for the performer, as there's still hundreds of tickets left to shift with just a week to go. To make matters even worse, some tickets for the show, from which Jackman recently shared a cryptic post seemingly pointed at his ex, are evening selling for as low $86 for Friday's performance, and $79 for Saturday. For comparison, tickets to Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band this weekend were selling for upwards of $600 and were completely sold out ahead of the show, according to Daily Mail. It might be a tough pill for Jackman to swallow, especially considering he has even more shows coming up in July and August where tickets are currently going for as cheap as $20 on StubHub. It marks the latest in a series of blows for Jackman, who recently hit headlines around the world after his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness released a bombshell statement revealing that their split has been anything but amicable. 'My heart and compassion go out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal. It's a profound wound that cuts deep, however, I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us,' she stated. 'This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose. 'It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom.' Meanwhile, Jackman has listed his luxurious New York City penthouse for a staggering $60 million (US$38.9 million). This decision comes shortly after he and his former spouse, Furness, agreed to divide the proceeds from the property. The couple originally acquired the opulent residence in 2008 for $32 million (US$21million). Over recent years, they opted to lease the penthouse, commanding a rental price of $19,200 (US$125,000) per month. However, following their announcement in September 2023 that their nearly three-decade-long marriage had ended, Furness filed for divorce in May 2025. On June 5, it was disclosed that the couple had initiated the division of their shared assets, including the penthouse in Manhattan's Chelsea neighbourhood. While the Chelsea property awaits listing, Jackman and Furness are proceeding with the sale of the five-bedroom, New York City penthouse. This residence spans three floors and offers 11,000 square feet of living space. It features a dramatic double-height great room with expansive windows, a private workout studio, a luxurious sauna, and a library.
