Has Our Unwritten Seoul been renewed for Season 2? Here's what we know:

Renewed Or Cancelled? Our Unwritten Seoul is an intriguing K-drama, taking the typical thriller and romance vibes, then adding in an identical twin to spice things up. If you've been following this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here's what we know: What is Our Unwritten Seoul about? Yu Mi-ji and Yu Mi-rae are identical twin sisters, but they are different in everything except for their appearance. Younger sister Yu Mi-ji ended her short heyday as a promising track and field athlete and she now lives a freewheeling life. Meanwhile, Older sister Mi-rae is a perfectionist. She has been on an elite path since her school days and currently works at a government owned company. For some reason, Mi-ji and Mi-rae begin to tell audacious lies about exchanging their lives and thus, they then go ahead and do just that. We have ongoing coverage of Our Unwritten Seoul across the site including recaps for the season. You can check those out HERE! Has Our Unwritten Seoul been renewed for season 2? At the time of writing, tvN have not renewed When the Stars Gossip for season 2. Given the ratings over the weeks, it'll be interesting to see if they actually do renew this for a follow-up. The ratings began with a respectable 3.6% share nationwide but since then, the show has been increasing in popularity with every passing week, with the later episodes hovering around 7.4% nationwide. Regardless of ratings, it's extremely rare to find Korean dramas renewed for another season. That has changed in recent years but given the sheer wealth of talent in this that are sure to move onto other projects, we predict that Our Unwritten Seoul will not be renewed for a second season. On top of that, this is billed as a limited series which only has 1 season. We'll be sure to update this section with more details as they become available. What we know about season 2 so far: Barely anything is known about season 2 right now. Given most Korean dramas are reserved to one season, it's rare to find these sort of shows renewed. With the rare exception of ongoing Netflix shows (Love ft. Marriage and Divorce, Hospital Playlist etc.) then it seems unlikely that this one will be renewed. Having said that though, we have seen Taxi Driver and Tale of the Nine Tailed renewed recently, alongside Alchemy of Souls too. Given how steady the ratings are for this series, could we see this one buck the trend? It seems very unlikely that Our Unwritten Seoul will, but you never know! We'll be sure to update this section when we know more. Would you like to see Our Unwritten Seoul return for a second season? Or do you think the story has run its course? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

'Bizarre but brilliant' thriller from creators of Killing Eve made free to stream on BBC iPlayer - but it won't be available for long

A 'bizarre but brilliant' thriller has been made free to stream on BBC iPlayer, but won't be available for long. Based on Daniel Cole's popular novel of the same name, Ragdoll is a fast-paced six-part thriller produced by the same team behind Killing Eve. After first airing in 2021, the drama has recently been added to BBC iPlayer and is available for fans to watch. Henry Lloyd-Hughes plays DS Rose, with British-Brazilian actress Thalissa Teixeira as his friend and colleague DI Emily Baxter, as well as Lucy Hale as DCI Lake Edmunds. The series follows the three detectives as they investigate a serial killer, dubbed Ragdoll, who murdered six people and stitched parts of their bodies together to make a grotesque Frankenstein-like monster. However, those hoping to delve into the thriller don't have long as it's only on the site for five months. It's also airing weekly on Mondays on BBC One. Viewers seem to be split over the series, which scores 92% on the Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes, but 33% on the Popcornmeter. Watchers have left their verdicts online over the years and according to Metro one said: 'So far it's brilliant, love the settings, characters and actors, hope it continues being brilliant.' While on Google Reviews someone penned: 'We've just watched the series and I'm still not sure if it was terrible or really good? Loads of dead end bits or cock-ups? Bizarre but, we still watched it.' One fan wrote: 'Great show binge watched it yesterday. Couldn't stop watching, had to find out how it ended.' 'Loved loved loved it! Book was better but enjoyed the tv series,' another said. While one viewer penned: 'Started watching this today and I'm addicted hopefully they will come out another season it's so good.' Viewers seem to be split over the series, which scores 92% on the Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes, but 33% on the Popcornmeter Someone else wasn't so impressed and said: 'Just started watching it. It's totally out there and unbelievable. 'Feel quite compelled to keep watching for the time being, not sure I'll keep it up though. Exhausted trying to keep up!' Another chimed in: 'Much of the dialogue is mumbled and difficult to follow and the flashbacks are irritating Even my dog stopped watching it and so did I after one episode.'

Why viewers had to ‘applaud' the fate of Justin Long's character in horror film Barbarian

What do you get when producers from some of the world's best horror films join forces in one movie? According to one critic, you get a 'masterclass in tension and unpredictability'. The producers of It, The Grudge and The Ring all worked together on the horror thriller Barbarian, which is currently one of the top films available for free on streaming platform Tubi right now. Starring Justin Long, Bill Skarsgård and Bird Box actress Georgina Campbell, the premise is very modern-day but the thrills are a throwback to classic horror. Picture this: you arrive at your Airbnb in the suburbs only to find it is double-booked by a mysterious tenant named Keith (Skarsgård). It's a stormy night so he invites you in, arguing that you can just co-habitate for the night as he's harmless. What do you do? For Tess (Campbell), she accepts the invitation, albeit reluctantly. After a surprisingly pleasant night exchanging life stories, the scenario becomes increasingly disturbing when she discovers a secret compartment in the house's basement. Suddenly, suburbia turns sinister. Long plays disgraced Hollywood actor AJ Gilbride who is the owner of the Airbnb. When he finds himself in financial strife after being fired from a movie when accused of raping his co-star, he returns to the home to prep it for sale, only to find that his investment property holds a horrifying secret beneath the house. The film was released in 2022 and became one of the most compelling films that year. So impactful, some fans have already added it to their rewatch list. 'Rewatched Barbarian, still impressed that what begins as a Your Worst Airbnb Fears movie takes a radical turn and delivers. Caught more on a rewatch about the differences between who is a monster, and who is a predator,' one viewer tweeted. 'The movie that made me simultaneously terrified of both airbnb's AND any house with a basement,' added another. 'Full of great surprises, suspense, humour, and probably the craziest tonal heel-turn I've ever seen in a movie.' And yet another commented, 'I wish more horror movies were like this & didn't rely on jump scares!' The aforementioned predator is soon revealed in graphic scenes – a towering, naked and deformed woman that embodies both terror and tragedy. Known as 'The Mother', she appears more mutant than human – the product of decades of abuse, left to lurk in the house's underground tunnels with no light. However, her backstory is heartbreakingly disturbing as Tess and AJ learn after she savagely smashes Keith – who turned out to be a nice guy – in the head, killing him. But, in a shocking plot twist that will leave jaws on the floor, it is Long's character who holds the titular barbarian role thanks to his actions at the end. 'I'm a horror fan. To be in an audience of equally excited and passionate horror fans … and to hear them applaud my death — I know this sounds strange, but it was oddly thrilling for me,' Long told Vulture in a previous interview. 'It meant that they were invested and I did my job. That his character was truly deplorable and deserving of a pretty rough ending.'

When Is Zombie Thriller '28 Years Later' Coming To Streaming?

Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Alfie Williams in "28 Years Later." Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later is now in theaters. When will horror thriller starring Ralph Fiennes, Jodi Comer and Aaron Taylor-Johnson be available to watch at home? Rated R, 28 Years Later opens in theaters nationwide on Friday. The summary for the film reads, 'It's been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. 'When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers the secrets, wonders and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.' Written by Alex Garland — who collaborated with Boyle on the 2002 horror hit 28 Days Later — 28 Years Later also stars Alfie Williams, Erin Kellyman, Emma Laird and Jack O'Connell. Currently, the only way you can see 28 Years Later is in theaters, so check your local listings for showtimes. The first stop for 28 Years Later in the home entertainment marketplace will be on digital streaming via premium video on demand. Sony Pictures Entertainment, which is the studio behind 28 Years Later, typically waits for one month to six weeks after opening its films in theaters to make them available on PVOD. A recent example of Sony's digital streaming release pattern is the studio's horror thriller Until Dawn, which debuted on PVOD on May 23, less than a month after it opened in theaters on April 25. However, the Marvel comic book movie Venom: The Last Dance, debuted on PVOD on Dec. 10, 2024, about six weeks after it opened in theaters on Oct. 25. If 28 Weeks Later follows the same release pattern as the two titles above, then viewers can expect the film to arrive on PVOD anytime between July 22 and Aug. 5, since new films on PVOD generally come out on Tuesdays. New films on PVOD are typically available for digital purchase for anywhere between $19.99 and $29.99 or rented for 48 hours for anywhere from $14.99 to $24.99. Typically, new PVOD titles are available on a variety of platforms, including Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Prime Video and YouTube. Since Sony Pictures Entertainment has a deal with the platform to exhibit its films first on streaming video on demand, 28 Years Later will make its SVOD debut on Netflix. It generally takes three to four months from the time a Sony film opens in theaters to the time it arrives on Netflix. Recently, the horror thriller Heart Eyes arrived on Netflix on May 8, just over a month after it opened in theaters on Feb. 7. Venom: The Last Dance, however, arrived on Netflix on Feb. 25, exactly four months after it debuted in theaters on Oct. 25, 2024. If 28 Years Later follows the same pattern, then viewers can expect the film to arrive on Netflix between Sept. 19 and Oct. 24, give or take a few days. While some streaming services like Max generally release new films on its platform on Fridays, Netflix doesn't tend to rely on a specific day of the week to begin streaming new films. Executive produced by 28 Days Later star Cillian Murphy, 28 Years Later is now in theaters.
