Details Save $350 $449 at Amazon Close More of the best early Fourth of July outdoor deals: When do July 4 sales start this year? While Independence Day falls on July 4 every year, holiday sales often tend to hang around for a few days before and after. Amazon also announced that its next Prime Day will take place from July 8 to 11, so the two sales may blend. Where are the best pre-July 4 sales? Fourth of July sales offer some of the best prices on tech, appliances, mattresses and fashion, making it a great time to snag stellar prices on must-have items, and there are a ton of retailers still participating in the holiday savings. Unsurprisingly, Amazon is usually one of the best places to buy because it sells products from almost all major brands across these popular categories, making it a tremendous one-stop shop for all of your Fourth of July buys. Outside of Amazon, we recommend checking out appliance and tech sales at Best Buy, Home Depot and Lowe's, as well as holiday sales on a large variety of categories at Target, Nordstrom and Walmart, among others. Should I shop July 4 sales or wait for Prime Day deals? There's no definitive way to say whether Fourth of July sales or Prime Day deals are best. Both sales offer plenty of deals, including some of the best prices we'll see all year. Plus, it's likely the two sales will blur into one big discount extravaganza, given their proximity. Fourth of July sales offer more variety in retailers, although much of your shopping may take place on Amazon anyway. There are also plenty of non-Amazon retailers that will keep their sales rolling through mid-July, often directly competing with Amazon Prime prices. Because you'll be able to shop so many Fourth of July sales in just a few weeks, grab what you need and then keep tabs on Prime Day deals later for anything you miss out on. How to keep up with the best July 4 sales There are a lot of ways to ensure you're getting the latest scoop on Fourth of July offers. The CNET Deals team covers all the best price drops, discounts and deals every day from across the web, highlighting the best offers. The 5 Best Father's Day Weekend Tech Deals on Games, Speakers, TVs, and More
PCMag editors select and review products independently. If you buy through affiliate links, we may earn commissions, which help support our testing. Hopefully, you're able aside some time this weekend for dear old Dad, but you should also set aside time for deals. Every Friday, I pick out five tech offers that combine massive discounts with top-rated products, and this week is no exception. We've got offers as low as 64% off on Bluetooth speakers, PS5 games, TV sets, and more for you to peruse, and the detailed reviews to back them up. Whether you're shopping for the old man or yourself, these weekend deals will hit the spot. We gave a coveted Editors' Choice award to the Beats Pill in our review, raving over the compact and stylish Bluetooth speaker's assertive and bass-heavy sound. There are tons of portable Bluetooth speakers on the market, but when you discount the Beats Pill to under a hundred bucks it easily becomes a must-purchase. The cylindrical design is rugged and durable, with IP67 dust and waterproofing and the ability to withstand being submerged in water for up to 30 minutes. It also boasts a capacious and fast-charging battery that can get you two hours of listening from just 10 minutes of plugged-in time. Echo Pop Smart Speaker With Alexa (2023 Release) for $24.99 (List Price $39.99) Beats Pill Wireless Portable Bluetooth Speaker (Matte Black) for $99.00 (List Price $149.95) Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore Portable Bluetooth Speaker for $149.00 (List Price $249.00) Sonos Move 2 Wireless Portable Bluetooth Speaker (Black) for $336.00 (List Price $449.00) Soundcore Boom 2 Portable Waterproof Outdoor Speaker (Black) for $129.99 (List Price $139.99) Settling in for summer gaming season? Take the opportunity to slash 48% off of an incredible UHD monitor that will make everything you play look its best. The Gigabyte M28U hits all the marks you need, from ultra-crisp 3840 x 2160 resolution with incredible contrast and color quality, great grey uniformity and wide viewing angles for local co-op play. Support for HDMI 2.1 bandwidth lets you use it for modern consoles at peak settings, and it's lightweight and easy to set up. The built-in speakers are decent but unspectacular, but that's a minor complaint. See how it compares on our list of the best gaming monitors. Alienware AW2524HF 25" 1080p 500Hz IPS Monitor for $449.99 (List Price $599.99) Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K 240Hz QD-OLED Monitor for $899.99 (List Price $1,199.99) Acer Nitro XV272U 27" 1440p 240Hz IPS Gaming Monitor for $229.99 (List Price $299.99) Asus ROG Strix XG27ACS 27" 1440p 180Hz 1ms IPS Monitor for $249.00 (List Price $289.00) Samsung Odyssey G9 49" DQHD 240Hz Curved Gaming Monitor for $849.99 (List Price $1,299.99) Amazon's Alexa smart speaker continues to be the gold standard for smart home connectivity, winning an Editors' Choice in our review with improved audio quality accompanying its transition from a cylindrical form factor to a cheerful little sphere. If you've missed the marketing, the Echo is a multi-tasking master, letting you control streaming services, interface with a massive variety of smart home products, set timers, tell jokes, order from Amazon and more. It's like an extra member of the household that you don't have to set a place for at dinner, and a 45% discount is pretty sweet. It's getting close to when we'd expect news of a new Yakuza game, which means that the previous installments will see price drops. We raved about Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth in our review, loving the long-running franchise's unexpected relocation to Hawaii and bevy of new activities, including managing a resort, battling Sujimon and more. If you haven't played any of these games, they fuse gritty Japanese mafia drama with absurd characters, side stories, turn-based combat, crafting and more. There's really nothing quite like them, but there's a reason they have a deeply devoted fanbase. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 (Pre-Order) for $49.99 Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Tactical Edition (Pre-Order) for $69.99 Monster Hunter Wilds Standard Edition for $62.99 (List Price $69.99) Black Myth: Wukong for $59.99 (List Price $64.99) Silent Hill 2 for $57.93 (List Price $69.99) Finally, here's a juicy 38% price cut on an Editors' Choice-winning TV set from Hisense. In our review, lead analyst Will Greenwald called this one "the best budget-friendly TV you can buy," thanks to its spectacular color performance that shines in high-contrast scenes thanks to the deep blacks and bright LED backlighting with up to 1000 nits peak brightness. The native 144Hz panel is great for console games, sports and other fast-moving content, and built-in Dolby Atmos sound and internal subwoofer pump out high-quality audio. This is the best price we've seen this 55 inch set at, so grab it while you can. 75" TCL QM6K 4K QD-Mini LED Google TV (2025 Model) for $849.99 (List Price $999.99) 85" Samsung Q60D Series 4K QLED Smart TV (2024 Model) for $1,199.99 (List Price $1,697.99) 65" LG C4 Series 4K 120Hz OLED Evo Smart TV (2024 Model) for $1,496.99 (List Price $2,699.99) 65" Samsung S90D 4K OLED 144Hz Smart TV (2024 Model) for $1,497.99 (List Price $1,697.99) 75" Sony Bravia XR X90L 4K Full Array LED Smart TV (2023 Model) for $1,198.00 (List Price $1,799.99) Hankering to save even more? Amazon Deals of the Day: Fix Your Spotty Wi-Fi With Half Off a TP-Link Wi-Fi 6 Extender
Amazon sells a wide array of products, with new ones arriving daily. The retail giant has everything from home essentials to tech gear and wellness items. As much as it loves adding new products, Amazon also loves cutting prices. But deciding which deals are worth grabbing (and which aren't) is a full-time job -- our job, specifically. That's why we scope out the top deals for you. Today, we spotted the TP-Link AX1800 Wi-Fi extender for an insane 50% off, bringing it to a new low price. We also found the Anker USB-C to HDMI adapter for a nice 33% off. And finally amp up your summer movie nights with the Roku Ultra 2024, now 20% off. Having slow or spotty Wi-Fi at home can be a real pain, especially for those of us who work or study from home. And even if you don't, most of out lives are online these days, making a strong connection practically essential. If you're finding some areas of your house to have less-than ideal connection, a Wi-Fi extender is a must. This can help strengthen the signal throughout your home and TP-Link makes some of the best ones. The TP-Link AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 extender covers up to 1,500 square feet and can handle up to 30 devices. It's pretty speedy, with a data transfer rate of just about 2Gbps and it's super easy to set up using the app so you can be up and running in no time. Plus, it's compatible with just about every device out there, including new AX phones, laptops and other devices. Normally retailing for $100, you can get one for half off bringing it down to just $50. TP-Link disclaimer: Note that while CNET does feature TP-Link models on our best Wi-Fi routers list, the US government is considering a ban on these routers. We will monitor this story closely to determine if we need to reevaluate those choices. Our evaluation of the hardware itself has not changed, but out of an abundance of caution to our readers urge you to consider the risk of a potential future ban before you buy. But if your budget and needs fit with this option and you're still interested in this offer, the 50% off deal is likely worth the risk for some shoppers. If you like streaming things from your laptop to your TV, monitor or other display, you know the importance of having a solid adapter. Anker's USB-C to HDMI adapter falls into this category. It's made with a lightweight aluminium casing that helps with heat dissipation so it doesn't overheat. It's also made with reinforced braided nylon so it won't break when you're twisting and pulling it. This adapater also streams in 4K so you get the best quality picture. It works with any device that has a USB-C port and HDMI port. All you have to do is plug it in and play. It usually runs for $18 but you can pick one up today for over 30% off bringing the price to $12. Plus, it's only a dollar more than the record-low price we saw around five years ago. To really boost up your streaming game, take a look at the Roku Ultra 2024 streaming player. Roku makes some of our favorite streaming devices. The Roku Ultra is on the high end of Roku's lineup, streaming 30% faster than other Roku devices. It has all the features you're likely to want including 4K streaming, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 6, HDR with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and even a rechargeable Roku Voice Remote Pro. The remote has quick launch buttons for your favorite apps like Netflix, Prime Video and more. It also has a backlight so you can see the buttons even at night. My favorite feature is the lost remote finder. You can use the Roku app or simply say "Hey Roku, find my remote." Long gone are the days of tearing the house up to find the remote. This streaming player is normally $100 but this 20% discount drops that price to $80. With so many deals on Amazon, deciding which ones are worth your money can be difficult. But CNET's combed through what the world's largest online retailer has to offer and gathered the best deals for you to peruse.

This 17″ HP Laptop (64GB RAM, 2TB SSD, Win 11 Pro) Drops by $3,700 on Amazon, Now Costs Peanuts After Memorial Day
If you've ever shopped for a high-performance laptop, you're probably aware of how quickly prices explode past the $2,000 mark, especially when you want real power under the hood. But every once in a while, a deal comes along that's so out of the ordinary and it feels like an alien has landed in the laptop market. That's exactly what's happening right now with this HP 17.3″ touchscreen 64GB RAM / 2TB SSD / Intel Core 7 laptop which has seen its price slashed by an almost unbelievable $3,700 on Amazon just after Memorial Day: At $1,139 down from a typical $4,809, this laptop is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a performance machine at a price that's almost unheard of. See at Amazon Best in Class Laptop Let's get into the specs, because this HP laptop is a beast by any measure: At the center of it all is Intel's newest Core 7-150U processor with 10 cores and up to 5.4 GHz turbo speeds. This CPU provides the sort of raw power typically found in high-end desktops. Whether you're crunching huge spreadsheets, editing 4K video, or running dozens of browser tabs at the same time, this processor won't bat an eye. Pair that with a staggering 64GB of RAM, and you've got a multitasking beast that can handle anything you can throw at it. Storage is just as impressive: With a 2TB PCIe SSD, you get scorching boot times, almost instant file opening, and ample room for all your projects, media, and documents. The 17.3-inch HD+ touchscreen display is perfect if you want a larger work surface. Brightview technology and 250 nits of brightness ensure it's easy on the eyes even during marathon work sessions and the touch functionality adds an additional level of flexibility perfect for creative apps and presentations. The full-sized backlit keyboard with number pad allows you to work efficiently under any lighting and the HP True Vision 720p HD webcam along with dual array microphones makes video calls and web-based conferencing clear and audible. Connectivity is also future-proofed, with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 for blisteringly fast wireless performance along with an ample selection of ports like USB Type-C, HDMI 1.4b, and multiple USB Type-A ports. Whether you need to connect to external displays, projectors, or high-speed storage solutions, this laptop has you covered. One of the most impressive extras is perhaps the fact that this laptop includes a lifetime license for Microsoft Office Professional: That's complete versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Publisher—no subscription, no hidden fees, just the whole suite for as long as you own the laptop. If you need to download Office for school or work, that's worth a lot of added value right there. And to top it all off, HP throws in a free mouse. Deals like this don't last long, and it's hard to imagine seeing a price drop of nearly $3,700 on a laptop of this caliber ever again. Make sure you grab yours before it runs out of stock.
