Authorities respond to semi-truck rollover crash on I-696 in Macomb County

One person suffered minor injuries after a semi-truck rollover crash Thursday on Interstate 696, according to the Warren Fire Department. Fire Commissioner Skip McAdams did not provide details on how the crash occurred, but he said that there is scrap metal on the freeway at Hoover Road. McAdams said another vehicle was involved, and the semi briefly caught on fire. Authorities did not say which driver was hurt in the crash. This story is developing.

The theft was discovered in Bennett on June 8. The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office says someone broke into a semi truck carrying the video game consoles. The driver was on his way to Texas when he reported several pallets were stolen. Nearly 3,000 Switch 2 consoles were found to be missing. Each Switch 2 console is valued at around $500. Investigators said they are looking for information on suspects. Anyone who might be able to help them in their investigation is asked to share a tip at 720-874-8477.

Police and firefighters responded to a crash on Whitemud Drive on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. (Sean McClune/CTV News Edmonton) A woman is dead after a crash on Whitemud Drive Tuesday involving a semi truck. Around 1:30 p.m., a van stopped on the shoulder of Whitemud Drive near 111 Street. A woman got out of the van to check it when she was hit by a semi truck driving east, according to Edmonton police. A young child was in the van but was 'not physically injured,' police said in a news release. He was taken to the Stollery Children's Hospital. The EPS Major Collisions Unit is investigating the crash.
