Body recovered in Lewisville Lake as search for second missing boater continues
Searchers have recovered the body of a man from Lewisville Lake, according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Meanwhile, the search continued Thursday for a second missing person, described as female, as the effort entered its third day, TPWD said. Advanced sonar joins search The Texas Game Warden Underwater Search and Recovery Team joined the effort, deploying advanced sonar technology to help locate the two missing boaters, a TPWD spokesperson said. Maggie Berger, public information officer for law enforcement at TPWD, said the agency is not identifying the two boaters "out of respect for their family's wishes." She added that the Denton County Medical Examiner's Office "may be able to release his name." Boat found abandoned Tuesday Texas Game Wardens were initially dispatched to the scene on Tuesday after receiving a report of an abandoned vessel. Despite initial efforts, the boaters were not located before nightfall, TPWD officials said. Multi-agency effort continues The search resumed early Wednesday morning, with Game Wardens joined by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as they combed the area. Efforts continued Thursday with the addition of the Underwater Search and Recovery Team, according to TPWD. Officials said the investigation is ongoing. Person goes overboard on UK ferry with major search operation underway
A person has fallen overboard from a ferry in the Firth of Clyde. A search is now under way following the incident between Dunoon and Gourock on Sunday afternoon. An HM Coastguard helicopter was dispatched alongside an RNLI lifeboat. CalMac said its MV Ali Cat vessel is also assisting the search. It's understood the person fell from a Western Ferries vessel. A spokesperson for HM Coastguard said: 'HM Coastguard are responding to reports of a person overboard between the Hunter's Quay and Gourock area in Scotland. 'An HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter has been tasked to conduct a search, alongside coastguard rescue teams from Largs and Dunoon, in addition to RNLI lifeboats from Helensburgh and Largs. 'Nearby vessels have been called to assist. Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service are also in attendance. 'The situation is ongoing.'

A 60-year-old woman, an 80-year-old woman and a girl whose age was not given were also killed in the strike, according to Israel's national emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA). Videos from Bat Yam showed a building with its facade ripped from it, and tall piles of rubble. Emergency workers could be seen scouring the scene with search dogs, and residents gathered on the street behind a cordon line. 'We don't have the exact number of people that are missing, but we do know that there's a lot of people that haven't contacted their loved ones yet, so now we're focusing on looking for them,' said Bat Yam mayor Tzvika Brot, in video by the Reuters news agency. Brot said the first building was hit around 2:30 a.m. Other buildings in the area were also damaged, with videos showing windows shattered and window frames torn from the outer walls. About 140 people have been wounded in two locations across central Israel. According to the state-affiliated FARS news agency, Israel was hit with the Haj Qassem guided ballistic missile during a wave of strikes overnight into Sunday. Iranian Defense Minister Gen. Aziz Nasirzadeh told Iranian TV on May 4 that the new missile would be able to get past defenses such as the US military's Terminal High Altitude Defense (THAAD), which has been deployed to Israel, as well as Patriot missile defenses and others that Israel employs. Iran unveiled the missile in early May, saying it is solid-fueled, has a range of 1,200 kilometers and is equipped with a maneuverable warhead that can penetrate missile-defense systems, according to Iran's Tasnim news agency.
