Confessions of a billionaire's PA: I earned £100k catering to the ultra rich. They're not like you or I. This is the truth about what they buy, the bizarre bedroom status symbol and their degrading demands: ALEXANDRA GILMORE

Sirens, the Netflix series starring Julianne Moore and as a PA to her wealthy, controlling boss, is described as a dark comedy, which is how in hindsight I would define many of my own former personal assistant roles. These have taken me around the world working for A list celebrities and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs). I was privy to a lifestyle not dissimilar to the fictional world of Sirens, where the setting was invariably cinematic in enviable Hollywood Regency-style homes surrounded by museum-worthy art (by Hockney, Chagall et al), gorgeous gardens, fabulous infinity pools and private-access beaches.

Hideo Kojima Put All His Ideas Onto a USB Drive and Gave It to His Assistant Just in Case He Dies — GeekTyrant

If there's one thing we've learned over the years, it's that Hideo Kojima doesn't think like most creators. His mind never stops spiraling with ideas. But even the most forward-thinking artist eventually comes face to face with time, and Kojima's been thinking about that a lot lately. In an interview with Edge magazine, the Death Stranding 2 director revealed something surprisingly vulnerable and, in classic Kojima fashion, a bit cinematic: he's handed off a USB stick filled with 'all my ideas' to his personal assistant. Why? As he puts it: 'kind of like a will.' 'I gave a USB stick with all my ideas on it to my personal assistant – kind of like a will. Perhaps they could continue to make things after I'm gone, here at Kojima Productions… 'This is a fear for me – what happens to Kojima Productions after I'm gone. I don't want them to just manage our existing IP.' Damn! Kojima, now 60, says the COVID-19 pandemic forced him to reevaluate his own mortality. 'Until then, I didn't think I was old, you know? I just didn't feel my age, and I assumed I would be able to create for as long as I live.' That illusion was shattered when he fell seriously ill. "But then I became sick, and I couldn't create anything. And I saw lots of people around me passing away at that time. I was confronted with death. 'Of course, I recovered, but now I was thinking, 'Wait, how many years do I have left to make a game or a film?' Perhaps I would have ten years?" It's a sobering admission from someone often viewed as a creative machine, endlessly imaginative, seemingly unstoppable. But beneath the high-concept visual designs and layered storytelling, Kojima's still a human being, one who knows that even the most influential legacies can fade if not protected. Despite the uncertainty, he's made one thing crystal clear: he doesn't plan on stopping. 'I want to continue 'creating things' for the rest of my life.' Whether that's ten more years or twenty, it's safe to say Kojima will spend them trying to surprise, confuse, and inspire us. And when he's no longer around…. well, there's a USB stick waiting to do the job. Via: GamesRadar+

Diddy's hotel alias revealed as assistant is heckled and accused of 'MeToo' money grab

Diddy's attorney Brian Steel showed the jury the resume Mia presented before she was hired as Diddy's personal assistant. Mia said on the resume that she had previously 'handled all unique requests' for Mike Myers. She said she once set up 'a private and confidential tour of the CIA by corresponding with Secret Service agents and government officials.' Mia told the court last week that she worked for Myers - as well as Harvey Weinstein's ex-wife Georgina Chapman - before she was employed by Diddy. Myers famously visited the CIA headquarters in 2009, as reported by Entertainment Weekly. The Canadian comedian toured the CIA's museum and had lunch with some agents, telling them he was grateful for their service. Myers also paid tribute to his mother during his visit; she was in the British Royal Air Force during World War II and held a security clearance.

Dallas-born service gives busy North Texans the gift of time

They say time is money. But what if you could buy yourself more? For many working parents, balancing demanding careers, school drop-offs, appointments, and birthday party planning can feel like a never-ending to-do list. But one North Texas mom has found a surprising solution that's quietly becoming a lifeline for families across the region. Juggling work and home life CBS News Texas Ginette Beecherl, a mom of three, knows all too well how hectic life can get. "I come home, someone's crying, milk is spilled," she said. Beecherl works full time in finance, with a packed calendar. Like many working moms, she feels the pressure both professionally and at home. "I have a lot of pressure at work, but also a lot of pressure on myself to be super present at home," she said. A personal assistant for home That's where a service called Faye steps in. Faye is a subscription-based company that pairs busy parents with a trusted family advisor for four, eight or 16 working hours per month. The advisor acts as a behind-the-scenes helper, handling everything from appointment reminders and school events to birthday party planning and organizing the family calendar. It's like having an executive assistant for your home life. "Faye is that invisible life raft that makes you more intentional with your friends, kids, work and husband," Beecherl said. Affordable and expanding nationwide CBS News Texas The service is designed to be both affordable and accessible. It launched its pilot program in Dallas in May 2023 and has since expanded to offer family advisors in multiple cities nationwide. Its virtual services are available across the country. Beecherl's advisor, Laura Thompson, helped her complete a long-postponed project of compiling a book of old family letters. She's also helped book trips, order meals, and plan parties. Support that makes a difference A soon-to-be mom of four herself, Thompson says the goal of Faye is simple: support. "I think the biggest feedback I hear is like, 'Thank gosh it's done,'" she said. What began as a way to save time has turned into something much bigger for families like the Beecherls — less stress, less guil,t and more time spent being present. "It helps us all live a more fulfilling, better life that makes us all more present," Beecherl said. Finding a village, virtually And in a world where it still takes a village, some families are finding theirs — one task at a time.

Diddy Trial: Alleged Victim ‘Mia' Testifies Combs Sexually Assaulted Her

One of the alleged victims central to prosecutors' case against music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs' took the stand Thursday under the pseudonym 'Mia,' testifying Combs sexually assaulted her and that the rap mogul could be 'unpredictable and terrifying' while she worked as his personal assistant. Mia, who worked for Combs as a personal assistant from 2009 to 2017, during which time she was good friends with his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, testified Thursday Combs was violent with her and sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions. 'He's thrown things at me. He's thrown me against the wall. He's thrown me into a pool. He's thrown an ice bucket on my head,' Mia testified, CNN reported, adding when she and Ventura would do something together without Combs' permission, the punishments would be 'unpredictable and terrifying.' Mia testified working for Combs was 'chaotic' and 'toxic' and she often worked without sleep, testifying she once worked five straight days without rest, adding she was at one point Combs' only personal assistant, BBC reported. Mia said she frequently saw Combs attack Ventura and described multiple altercations, including one in which Combs threw her against a bed frame, giving her a forehead scar, which Mia said made her think: 'Is he going to kill her?' Mia acknowledged in her testimony working for Combs could be 'exciting,' citing her work on film and television projects, stating the 'highs were really high and the lows really low,' NBC News reported. Mia is one of the four alleged victims central to the prosecution's case against Combs, and she is referred to in court documents as 'Victim-4' (Cassie Ventura, Combs' ex-girlfriend and the prosecution's star witness, is 'Victim-1' in the indictment against Combs). Prosecutors are expected to use Mia's testimony to support the racketeering charge against Combs, supporting their allegation that he ran a 'criminal enterprise' that engaged in forced labor and other crimes. Some legal analysts have said the prosecution's case so far has established Combs had a pattern of violence, but has been slow to sufficiently prove the racketeering charge. 'I'm not seeing the development of a racketeering enterprise,' criminal defense attorney Tama Beth Kudman told NBC News this week as the third week of testimony began, stating the prosecution has not yet demonstrated 'the thread that creates an enterprise with a unified purpose.' Prosecutor Emily Johnson previewed Mia's testimony in her opening statement at the beginning of Combs' trial, stating Mia will testify about how 'the defendant forced himself on her sexually,' allegedly 'forcing her to perform oral sex and sneaking into her bed to penetrate her against her will,' and subjected her to forced labor. Ventura, one of the other four victims central to the case against Combs, testified for much of the trial's first week. In her testimony, Ventura described 'freak off' sex parties as drug-fueled nightmares Combs coerced her to participate in, which she said left her feeling 'disgusting' and in physical pain. She also alleged Combs raped her in 2018 and subjected her to years of physical violence during their relationship. Rapper Kid Cudi, another high-profile witness, testified Combs broke into his house and his car exploded weeks after Combs found out he briefly dated Ventura. Combs faces five federal charges: two counts of sex trafficking, two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and one count of racketeering conspiracy. He pleaded not guilty to all charges and has denied all allegations made against him. Combs also faces dozens of civil lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault and sex trafficking.
