Ruby Marti, of Wisconsin Rapids, named 1st runner-up at Miss Wisconsin's Teen 2025 contest
NEW BERLIN − Ruby Marti, of Wisconsin Rapids, was named first runner-up during the Miss Wisconsin's Teen 2025 contest June 20 at the New Berlin West Performing Arts Center. Marti, competing as Miss River Cities' Teen, receives an $800 scholarship, according to a news release from the organization. She will be a junior at Lincoln High School in the fall. Her community service initiative is 'Silence is NOT Golden: Early Language Matters.' For her talent, she performed a violin piece. The winner of the state title was Natalie Popp, 17, from Fitchburg. Popp was competing as Miss Capital City's Teen and advances to the Miss America's Teen 2026 competition. Popp receives $4,000 in scholarships along with other gifts and awards, according to the release. Marti and Popp competed among a field of 24 contestants representing their communities across the state. Rounding out the top five were: Second runner-up, Miss Madison's Teen, Carly Doome, of Oak Creek. She received a $700 scholarship. Third runner-up, Miss Door County's Teen, Elise Jackson, of Forestville. She received a $600 scholarship. Fourth runner-up, Miss Fond Du Lac's Teen, Opehlia Linnan, of Door County. She received a $500 scholarship. Bianca Bowden, of Wisconsin Rapids, also competed in the contest as Miss Wisconsin Rapids' Teen 2025. Her community service initiative is 'Think and Drive, Stay Alive,' focusing on preventing reckless driving. She performed an acrobatic jazz dance to a song from Disney's 'Aladdin' for her talent. Addison Morin, of Wisconsin Rapids, competed in the competition as Miss Northern Lights' Teen 2025. Her community service initiative is "Specializing Special Education: Creating Acceptance." She performed a vocal piece for her talent. The Miss Wisconsin 2025 final competition will be held at 4 p.m. June 21 at the New Berlin West Performing Arts Center. Miss Wisconsin Rapids 2025 Olivia Heuer will join 28 other local titleholders from across the state to compete for the title of Miss Wisconsin. Jordon Hudson takes sly shot at Bill Belichick's ex Linda Holliday after bitter Christmas Party spat
Jordon Hudson has taken a sly jab at her boyfriend Bill Belichick 's ex partner, Linda Holliday, in a sentimental Instagram post, where she name-drops 'Nantucket Socialites'. Hudson's post was primarily about Melissa Sapini, the 2024 Miss Massachusetts, a title she won while over Belichick's 49-years-younger girlfriend competed for Miss Maine. The duo met during their time on the pageant circuit. Sapini relinquished her title this week to this year's winner, with Hudson paying tribute to her friend's time on top on Tuesday. The long, sappy post included the jab at Holliday near the bottom, after Hudson gave Sapini tons of shout-outs. 'I know you will keep shining, metamorphosing and taking up space; even when others threaten you and insist that you don't belong, e.g. the "Nantucket Socialites"' Hudson said. Hudon's jab is in reference to an incident where Holliday did not like Hudson and Sapini coming to a certain Nantucket Christmas party late last year. Holliday angrily confronted Hudson and threatened Sapini, seemingly confirming the already public rundown of events. According to an incident report filed by an employee at the party's venue, Dreamland, Holliday was enraged by Hudson's presence at the December 6 event. Holliday's twin daughters - Ashley and Kat Hess - were DJing at the party. Belichick, 73, and Holliday, 61, broke up in September 2023 after 16 years together. He met Hudson on a flight from Boston to Florida in 2021. The incident report says Holliday thought Hudson being there was 'inappropriate, since the event was widely advertised as a party headlined by her daughters.' The report claims that at 9:30pm, Holliday approached the member of staff and asked her to remove Hudson, 24, from the party. While on the phone with the venue's executive director to discuss removing Hudson, staff spotted Holliday and friend Elin Hilderbrand - believed to be the New York Times bestselling author - approach Hudson on the dance floor with 'threatening body language and escalating aggression'. But as the employee approached the dance floor, Holliday and her friends - which also included Heather Thorpe - decided to back away. 'I asked Ms. Hudson if she thought it was a good idea to be there considering the clear animosity the above individuals felt towards her,' the employee wrote in the report. 'She defended herself by saying she'd done nothing wrong, and it was her first time attending Christmas Stroll and wanted to attend the "big party" going on that night, which happened to be the one featuring the Hess Twins.' 'She said she was not looking to cause any problems, but just wanted to go out and have fun with her friend.' When realizing there were only a few minutes left of the party, Hudson is said to have agreed to leave if the employee accompanied them to the exit. As they waited by the exit, Hudson supposedly then told the employee that Holliday threatened Sapini during the clash on the dance floor. It was claimed Holliday told Hudson's friend that if she 'valued her current title, she should think twice about who her friends are' and that she 'had many powerful friends in the pageant organization.' The report says Sapini didn't speak but broke down in tears in the room and was 'wiping her eyes frequently'. After leaving Hudson and Sapini by the exit, the employee returned to find Holliday who said: 'If this didn't involve my girls, I don't think this would have bothered me as much, but because it did the "momma bear" in me came out.' Dreamland told TMZ that, despite the tense altercation, police and security were never involved.

A beauty queen has dramatically stepped down as Miss Grand International after just eight months - citing a 'toxic environment.' Rachel Gupta, an Indian model and actress, who made history as the first Indian to win the Miss Grand International title in October 2024, has handed back her crown. The 21-year-old claimed she endured a toxic environment, body shaming, and unfulfilled promises by the pageant's organizers. In a 56-minute YouTube video called 'The Truth About Miss Grand International – My Story,' the model broke down in tears as she shared her experience of her short reign. She said she was subjected to demeaning comments about her body, including an incident where a representative allegedly pinched her and told her to ' lose weight here and here.' Rachel described it as 'so embarrassing' and said it made her feel 'so small and so bad.' 'I realized they would never, never support me, and I was completely on my own,' she said. Gupta also alleged that she was made to live in substandard conditions - first in a cramped hotel room and later in a dilapidated house in Bangkok without basic amenities. She claimed that the organization failed to provide the promised financial and logistical support, forcing her parents to assist her financially. The former Miss Grand International also accused the pageant of exploiting her by making her sell products on TikTok. 'They made us sell these cheap, tacky products on TikTok like we were salesgirls,' she revealed. In response to her video, the Miss Grand International organization dismissed Gupta's claims as 'false, misleading, and defamatory,' in an Instagram post. The organization accused her of relying on 'emotional appeals and tearful storytelling without any physical evidence to support her claims.' It also released statements and evidence, including photos of her accommodations and email correspondence, to counter her allegations. The organization officially terminated her title, citing her failure to fulfill her duties and accusing her of seeking inappropriate favors, such as free cosmetic surgery for relatives. Rachel warned future contestants of systemic problems within the pageant, stating, 'I don't think they can ever change this.' Christine Juliane Opiaza from the Philippines is set to be crowned as Gupta's replacement on June 3. has reached out to both parties for further comment. Rachel's resignation follows a similar exit by England's Miss World contestant Milla Magee. Milla, 24, had initially blamed her abrupt departure from the pageant in Hyderabad, India, on 'personal reasons.' But now the truth behind her exit has been revealed – and it paints a disturbing picture of a pageant she claims is 'outdated' and 'stuck in the past.' The history-making beauty – the first Miss England in the competition's 74-year history to resign – said she had gone in with hopes of making a difference. 'I went there to make a difference but we had to sit like performing monkeys,' she told The Sun, accusing organizers of turning her into little more than eye candy for wealthy male sponsors. Milla revealed contestants were ordered to doll up in heavy make-up and evening gowns from morning to night – even at breakfast – and were paraded at events purely to charm deep-pocketed backers. She said the experience made her feel 'like a prostitute' who was being 'farmed out for entertainment.'
