Man charged for smashing store and car windows: Barrie police
Police in Barrie arrested a male suspect who allegedly caused widespread property damage along Dunlop Street early Saturday morning. According to the Barrie Police Service, officers received a 5:48 a.m. call about a man who broke the windows of several businesses and cars in the area. Police say the man was located shortly thereafter and that he committed acts of assault on the officers. The man was arrested and charged with assaulting police and multiple counts of mischief. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Two youths charged after damaging St. Thomas church
Two male youths were arrested and charged Saturday night, after vandalizing a local church. A church at the south end of St. Thomas was damaged Saturday night, after the suspects threw rocks at the building and damaged glass windows, doors and other church property. It's an estimated $7,000 to repair. Police arrested the two youths on the property, and they were charged with mischief over $5,000. They were later released to the care of their parents.

A 42-year-old man has been charged following reports this week of a broken windshield on Wellington Street East in Sault Ste. Marie. (File photo) A 42-year-old man has been charged following reports this week of broken glass on Wellington Street East in Sault Ste. Marie. A 911 call came in at 1 a.m. about mischief in the area, police said in a news release. 'An investigation revealed the accused had thrown a rock through the windshield of a vehicle and through a window of a building, causing damage,' police said. 'Officers located the accused several hours later in the 600 block of Albert Street East. They were arrested.' He was charged with mischief over $5,000 and was released on an undertaking, with a court date of Aug. 18.

Man accused of break-ins at supportive housing development
Guelph Police have charged a 41-year-old man after repeated break-ins were reported inside a supportive housing development. He allegedly went into an area of the building where he wasn't allowed and tampered with the door. Police said he damaged the door's lock. He then tried to get into another resident's unit, and also ended up damaging the unit's key card reader. The damage was estimated at $1,200 total. Police arrested the 41-year-old on Thursday. After his arrest, officers said they found a small amount of suspected fentanyl. The man was charged with break and enter, two counts of mischief, possessing a controlled substance and three counts of breaching court orders.

Guelph man caught on camera performing multiple indecent acts, police say
A Guelph man is facing multiple charges after police say he was caught on video doing lewd acts. Guelph Police said they were called to a property near the city's downtown on Saturday morning. The person who called showed officers security footage where a man could be seen walking around the property while masturbating at 1 a.m. The homeowner also showed police additional videos of the same man entering the property overnight and pulling his pants down on multiple occasions. Police knew who this man was. On Wednesday, police arrested a 29-year-old man from Guelph. He was charged with committing an indecent act, trespassing at night, three counts of mischief to property and six counts of breaching a probation order.
