Samsung's next foldables look crazy thin in this new leak
Hadlee Simons / Android Authority TL;DR New 'official' images of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 have leaked. The images show both foldables in two different colorways. These colorways are said to be called Blue Shadow and Jet Black. Samsung is gearing up to launch the next generation of its foldable phones. As we inch closer to the eventual announcement, predictably, leaks have been ramping up. Previously, we've seen CAD renders of both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Now, a new leak claims to give us a look at 'official' renders of both handsets. Courtesy of Android Headlines, we have a new collection of renders for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 to check out. These 'official' renders present both foldables in two colorways, which are reportedly called Blue Shadow and Jet Black. More colorways are expected to be available, but these are the only two included in this report. According to earlier leaks, Samsung has made both foldables fairly thinner than previous iterations. The Fold 7, in particular, is rumored to be about 4.54mm thin when unfolded, which would be only slightly thicker than the OPPO Find N5 (4.21mm). In the images above, we can see the Flip 7 and the Fold 7 compared to their predecessors. While the Flip has never been overly thick, it's clear Samsung has found a way to cut off some of the fat. However, the difference in size is even more noticeable between the Fold 7 and Fold 6. Both devices are also expected to get larger cover displays. For the Flip 7, Samsung is ditching the manila folder-like design and is opting to use the entire cover. Meanwhile, the cover display on the Fold 7 is expected to grow from 6.3 inches to 6.5 inches. This will also result in a bigger inner screen, which is said to be 8.2 inches. Rumors are pointing to June 9 as the date for Samsung's next Unpacked event. If true, that means we'll only have to wait a few more weeks for the launch. In addition to these foldables, it's expected that Samsung's next smartwatches will appear at the show. We could possibly even get a teaser for Project Moohan. Got a tip? Talk to us! Email our staff at Email our staff at news@ . You can stay anonymous or get credit for the info, it's your choice.

Ministry of Education spends thousands hunting leaks to RNZ
The leaks from within the ministry are being investigated, with Michael Heron KC looking into unauthorised disclosures. Photo: RNZ / Angus Dreaver The Education Ministry is spending about $20,000 on its hunt for the sources of multiple leaks to RNZ. Acting chief executive Ellen MacGregor-Reid answered questions about the investigation when she appeared before the Education and Workforce Select committee on Thursday. She told the committee the budget was "a couple of tens-of-thousands". MacGregor-Reid said the ministry's workplace culture was not to blame for staff sharing confidential documents. "I don't think staff members leaking formal advice and government documents relates to workplace happiness. I think that reflects on whether or not public servants understand their code of conduct, the duty of the public service to be politically neutral, and that is something that I am holding public servants in the Ministry of Education to account for," she said. Macgregor-Reid said she took the leaks very seriously. "It is a matter I take very seriously as you can imagine as a public servant and something that is very important around our democratic processes to get to the bottom of," she said. The ministry last month told RNZ it had appointed Michael Heron KC to investigate unauthorised disclosures. RNZ saw four separate Budget-related documents earlier this year, the last of which prompted a court injunction on the grounds that it contained commercially sensitive information that would damage the government's ability to engage in collective bargaining. Last year, it saw internal ministry documents related to curriculum work and restructuring plans. Here's a leaked Pixel 10 Pro case on a Pixel 9 Pro
TL;DR We have obtained a case for the unreleased Google Pixel 10 Pro. To test it out, we put a Pixel 9 Pro into the case. The Pixel 9 Pro fits, but there are a lot of changes that make it not ideal to swap cases between the two devices. We expect Google to announce the new Pixel 10 series in the coming weeks. As usual, we've already seen plenty of leaks surrounding the phones, including a nearly-retail-ready device and a likely retail-ready version in a behind-the-scenes clip from a commercial shoot. From these, we know that the Google Pixel 10 series will look remarkably similar to the Pixel 9 series. Just how similar will they be, though? To help answer that question, we got help from a smartphone case company called Thinborne. The owner sent us a case that is designed to fit the Google Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro. Obviously, considering Google hasn't announced the phones yet, this is a break in standard protocol. Regardless, the first thing I did when I got the case was put my Pixel 9 Pro into it. Interestingly, the phone fit the case just fine. It was a little tricky to get it all the way on, but it didn't warp or crack when I did so. In other words, the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro will have roughly the same dimensions as the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro. The first and most obvious was the cutout for the camera bar. There's a sizable gap left behind with this Pixel 10 Pro case on a Pixel 9 Pro, which proves that the camera bar on the Pixel 10 phones will be larger than what we see on the Pixel 9 series. It's not a lot larger, but it's large enough that all sorts of dust and debris would get into the gap if you were to use a Pixel 10 case on a Pixel 9 phone. Also, if I had a Pixel 10 Pro, I am certain it would not fit into a Pixel 9 Pro case because of this size discrepancy. Elsewhere, the Pixel 10 case partially covers up the 5G antenna on the Pixel 9 Pro. This probably wouldn't be enough to dramatically affect reception, but it certainly wouldn't help. Most notably, though, is that the bottom of the case is completely reconfigured when compared to a Thinborne Pixel 9 case. This is because the Pixel 10 is going to have two speaker cutouts at the bottom instead of just one. The SIM tray is also going to be moved to the top of the Pixel 10. All in all, there are just too many compromises here. If you currently own a Pixel 9 series device and are hoping to keep your current case when you upgrade to the Pixel 10 later this year, that isn't going to work. Despite the phones being very similar, the cases are different enough that you'll want to buy one specific to the applicable model. If you want to buy a Thinborne case for either a Pixel 9 or Pixel 10, you can do so at Thinborne's site.

Urgent warning as UK faces HUGE water shortages with Brits told to do two things to help
A new report also says water companies must reduce leaks TAPS RUN DRY Urgent warning as UK faces HUGE water shortages with Brits told to do two things to help HUGE water shortages of five billion litres a day are coming by 2055 without urgent action, environment officials have warned. A stark new report says water companies must reduce leaks while the public is urged to help by taking shorter showers and even deleting old emails. 2 Brits are told they can help the water shortage by taking shorter showers Credit: Alamy A growing population, changes to the climate and pressure from new industries are among factors driving up demand, according to the Environment Agency. The regulator warned that England will face a daily shortfall of five billion litres in 30 years' time — around a third of current daily use — without urgent steps. It said the wider economy faces a further daily deficit of a billion litres, amid rising demand from the energy sector, food production and businesses such as water-intensive data centres. The EA says 60 per cent of the expected shortfall needs to be addressed by water companies reducing leaks and managing demand. The rest would come from a major infrastructure boost, including ten new reservoirs, nine desalination plants and seven recycling schemes. But it also urged the public to turn off taps and use full washing machine loads as well as clearing email inboxes to ease pressure on server farms, which use significant amounts of water. EA chairman Alan Lovell said: 'This deficit threatens not only the water from your tap but also economic growth and food production.' The Government has secured £104billion for infrastructure improvement over the next five years. Water firms vow to cut leaks by 17 per cent by 2030 and half by 2050, with ten million smart meters rolled out. 2 Huge water shortages of five billion litres a day are coming by 2055 without urgent action, environment officials have warned Credit: Getty Unlock even more award-winning articles as The Sun launches brand new membership programme - Sun Club.

Poco F7 renders purportedly leak showing a very familiar device
The Poco F7 is coming soon to join the F7 Pro and F7 Ultra in the brand's roster, and today we have some purportedly leaked official renders showcasing the device in black. We do however have to mention the fact that it's unclear where these are coming from, so do take them with more than just a pinch of salt. It could very well be that they are the real deal, or someone just slightly edited the official images of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro and added the Poco logo. We say that because, if these are real, then the oft-rumored rebranding of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro into the Poco F7 is pretty much confirmed - save for some minor details around the camera bump, the two devices look absolutely identical. Poco F7 leaked renders So, with that in mind, don't be surprised at all if the Poco F7 ends up having a 6.83-inch 1280x2272 AMOLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC at the helm, a 50 MP main camera with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide, a 20 MP selfie camera, and a 7,550 mAh battery with 90W fast charging. More Poco F7 leaked renders Interestingly, only the Indian version is said to be getting that battery capacity, with other markets having to make do with 6,550 mAh instead, with the same fast charging abilities baked in. The Poco F7 should go up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, where the Redmi went to 16GB and 1TB, respectively. Xiaomi Poco F7 Pro Xiaomi Poco F7 Ultra Via
