Jessica Rowe is all smiles as she dons glittering jewels at Fairfax & Roberts event in Sydney
Jessica Rowe ensured all eyes were on her when she stepped out at a Fairfax & Roberts event in Sydney on Thursday night. The TV veteran, 54, was all smiles as she posed in a cropped jacket and mini adorned with intricate detailing. Jess paired her eye-catching look with a chic white blouse, white tights and her million-dollar smile - but her earrings were the star of the show. The glittering showstoppers bedazzled in diamonds had onlookers drooling as Jess worked her magic on the photo wall. The bubbly blonde and her husband Peter Overton recently welcomed a kitten into their family member. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Jess shared a heartwarming photo of Peter kissing the kitty in May and captioned it with some hilarious words. 'Say hello to the man who said "no" to getting a third pussycat!! Pete is smitten with our new kitten Diana!' Jessica wrote. Many of Jess' celebrity friends took to the comment section to gush over the adorable photo. 'She is a sweet angel,' wrote comedian Kirsty Webeck and Samantha Armytage added a laughing emoji. It's been a difficult few months for the power couple. The Nine News veteran was recently forced off air to undergo surgery on his vocal chords after doctors discovered a polyp. In March, Jess and her teenage daughter Giselle were able to joke about Peter's recent health scare in the face of adversity. She told Daily Mail Australia that her husband of 21 years was delighted to be back at work after several months off. 'Peter is good. He's all good,' Jess said, as she and Giselle attended Marie Claire's International Women's Day luncheon. 'Obviously it was scary at the time. It's nice he's back at work. He's loving being back at work and we're loving having him out of the house.' Prior to that, Peter said he was terrified by the ordeal because the surgery left him unable to talk for a week. News of Peter's shock health scare was broken by his wife. She shared a photo to Instagram of Peter hugging their pet dog and captioned it with some alarming words. 'Peter doesn't do Insta and he wanted me to share some news. He's off work for a little longer at the moment,' she wrote. 'After an Ear Nose and Throat surgeon discovered a polyp on one of his vocal cords, which explains his very raspy voice over the holidays.' She added Peter had already been in surgery and had to minimise his speaking as part of the recovery process, meaning he wouldn't be able to return to work for some time. 'He was operated on. Part of his recovery is no talking for now (a HUGE challenge for him!!). Hopefully he'll be back to Nine News soonish,' she explained. Peter described the polyp as 'like a big blister hanging off' his vocal cords. 'I must admit, it scared the living daylights out of me,' he said.

Maine Coon Cat's Loving Kisses for Tiny Kitten Will Warm Anyone's Heart
Maine Coon Cat's Loving Kisses for Tiny Kitten Will Warm Anyone's Heart originally appeared on Parade Pets. You don't actually have to be a parent to give Mom or Dad-level love. One Maine Coon offers us a sweet reminder that going out of your way to make a new little one feel special is almost always worth the effort. Take a look at this heartwarming video uploaded to TikTok that shows a stunning Maine Coon giving plenty of kisses to an adorable kitten. We can't get enough of these two! How sweet are they? My favorite part is when this Maine Coon places a paw on the kitten's head as if to say, "Stay still, I'm going to fix your hair!" Then she proceeds to lick and clean the little one like a pro. I also love the way the kitten leans into this lovefest and looks up so adoringly at the older cat. We can almost hear that kitty's thoughts, "Wow, thanks, I really needed this!"Viewers adore seeing this pair together. One wrote, "So sweet." Another added, "Aw, so adorable." 🐶🐾🐾Is it more than a tender moment between these two? One viewer suspects it's perhaps a hygiene issue, suggesting, "That baby needs a bath." It's very kind to see this bigger kitty take the little one under her wing, so to speak, and offer some grooming tips. Maine Coon cats are known for their over-the-top size. Males typically weigh between 18 and 22 pounds, while females are slightly smaller at 12 to 15 pounds. It certainly seems like they have big hearts as well. This breed is recognized for having affectionate nature, making them true gentle giants. Based on other videos posted to this account, it looks like this kitty is a foster. Maybe this loving Maine Coon can sense that the little one needs some TLC after coming out of their last living situation. I don't know if this Maine Coon has any kittens of her own, but clearly, she's a natural! I hope these two get to spend lots more time together because they are a darling duo, and I'd love to see how their relationship blossoms. Clumsy Kitten Napping on Dad's Guitar Is the Definition of Cuteness Overload
We've all seen countless adorable videos of babies (both human and animal) sleeping, but have you ever seen one of a kitten napping on a guitar as dad plays and sings? TikToker Elgunnasibli has been posting videos of his tiny kitten doing just that, and it's the cutest thing you'll see today. The video is a montage of clips showing all the times his 'clumsy kitten' has slept so soundly on his guitar that he slips right off it! We can't get enough of the cuteness and could watch it on repeat all day! Swoon! What an adorable kitten! Now we need to learn to play the guitar and then get a kitten! Elgunnasibili's video has racked up millions of views and has more than a thousand loved it! @Abiska Aveely got more than 25 thousand likes when they said, "The fact that one day they'll be too big to do this is so sad!" @LazyPaws added, "He knows you're always gonna catch him. That's why. He trusts you with all his life." @Jus Samanka agreed, "The dad reflex is so real!"Commenter @julianyeen asked, "I wonder if the vibrations feel like purring, so they think you're purring at them?!" We thought that was a reasonable guess but wondered if cats really enjoy music. According to PBS, not human music. "Cats, in fact, do enjoy music, but they don't enjoy human music — at least according to new research. A study recently published in the journal Applied Animal Behavior Science believes that in order for our feline friends to enjoy music, it has to be species-specific music." Species-specific music? The article went on to explain what that means. It's music "that fits into how the animal communicates, writes University of Wisconsin psychologists and study authors Megan Savage and Charles Snowdon. 'We have developed a theoretical framework that hypothesizes that in order for music to be effective with other species, it must be in the frequency range and with similar tempos to those used in natural communication by each species.' Curious to hear what cat music sounds like? You can check it out here. Clumsy Kitten Napping on Dad's Guitar Is the Definition of Cuteness Overload first appeared on PetHelpful on May 22, 2025

Vet Leaves Adorable Note on Crying Kitten's Kennel and Everyone's Cracking Up
Vet Leaves Adorable Note on Crying Kitten's Kennel and Everyone's Cracking Up originally appeared on PetHelpful. Just like our children, sometimes our fur babies cry or act out for attention. Even if there's nothing wrong with them, they use their cries to make us come running, and hopefully, cater to them. Veterinarian Dr. Matt McGlasson shared a video of an adorable kitten named Little Jimmy McGill that was in a kennel and desperately crying for attention. The tiny black and white kitten sounds like he's in distress, but the sign the vet left outside of the cage says differently, and it's too funny! We literally laughed out loud when we read the sign Dr. Matt left for the staff so that they'd know Little Jimmy was just being dramatic! But seriously, how could anybody walk by him and not want to pick him up and hold him?We weren't the only ones who got a kick out of the video - viewers left more than 1,200 comments, and some of them were pretty funny! Dr. Matt asked in the video's caption, "What do you think Little Jimmy McGill did to get himself locked up?" and the answers didn't disappoint. @t1ff_reads wanted justice, "As Mr. McGill's Cattorney, I have advised my client not to answer any questions unless I'm present. He is clearly innocent of all charges except extreme adorableness, which is not a crime. I expect that my client will be released and all charges dropped. Thank you." Commenter @xenatheservicedobie had no doubt Jimmy had been set up, "Absolutely nothing, that baby is innocent. He was framed." @pocketlynx agreed and shouted, "Justice for Jimmy! Freedom for Jimmy!!! He's innocent, innocent!" Another commenter pointed out, "The sign says one thing, but his adorable meows say otherwise. I'm inclined to believe him..." @pussnbutz added, "Arrested for being too cute for his own good!" @kathensanartwork made everybody smile when they said, "Will send catnip cake with file in it, little kitty… hold tight." We also agreed with @cinlou_who, who said, "I believe every word he says and would break him out of there in a hot minute!!" There's no way we'd be able to walk by without opening that cage! Unfortunately, Dr. Matt didn't disclose the charges against Little Jimmy. We're sure whatever he did to find himself in the slammer is something he'll probably do again in the looks like he's probably a handful!
