Apple fans rush to buy iPad Pro for £129 after 57% price slash

Shoppers will save £170 on this iPad Pro model through alternative deal. Apple has a wide range of products on the market, which are normally hailed for their high quality and impressive new features. Including smartphones, laptops and smart watches, there are a wide range of Apple products for fans to enjoy. One of the tech brand's most popular devices is the iPad. Ideal for catching up with your favourite shows on the go, these nifty devices also means users can get their work done without having to drag around a heavy laptop. However, these devices do come with a hefty price tag, with even the most basic modern iPad starting at over £300. If this is out of your price range but are set on buying the Apple device, it is advised that shoppers should look at some older models. Wowcher currently has a cracking deal on a refurbished 10.5-inch iPad Pro. Dropping from £299.99 down to £129, shoppers will be saving £170 on their purchase. However, it should be noted that this device is the model created in 2017. Equipped with the A10X Fusion chip, the device is still capable of performing most of the basic tasks shoppers would require a tablet to do - even if the chip is getting on a bit in terms of age, reports the Manchester Evening News. This iPad Pro even includes the old Apple design which included using a Home button. However, with 64GB of storage, this device has more than enough space to store all the must-have apps, photos and videos - although don't expect the speed or performance to be top of the range. iPad Pro Product Description It should also be noted that this 2017 iPad no longer receives update from Apple - leaving it on the iPadOS 17. This means users will not receive any security updates, leaving your stored items slightly more at risk than they would be with a later model. Additionally, as this is a refurbished model, the device has had previous owners and has since been restored by professionals. This means if shoppers choose to buy this iPad Pro there may be signs of cosmetic wear, but the tablet should work as it did when it was first unboxed. However, if shoppers want a more up to date Apple device, Amazon has slightly reduced the price of the iPad 11-inch. Normally retailing for £329, shoppers can grab it now for £309.97. Featuring the superfast A16 chip, shoppers will also get a stunning Liquid Retina display and 128GB of data. Alternatively, for those who want to try out an Android device, Argos currently has a deal on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9. Normally retailing for £189, shoppers can drop the price by 20 per cent using the code RED20 at checkout - now £151.20. With a slightly smaller screen of eight inches, shoppers will still get 128GB of storage. Back to the Wowcher deal, the iPad Pro is brought to shoppers via INCTABLET, which currently has a 4.4 star rating on TrustPilot. One happy customer said: "Amazing staff and customer service. I had an issue with my iPad and it was resolved in 48 hours. That included the return of the iPad and a replacement arriving back to me." Another shopper also praised:"Just bought a used Apple iPad Pro from these guys, and what a great experience. Super competitive price, next-day despatch and the iPad was in pristine condition. Even came with a brand new charging cable. Can't praise them enough." Some reviewers left less positive three star reviews, with one reading: "When my iPad arrived on December 4th (a surprise gift for my son) the quality of the screen was unacceptable to me, as it had way to many scratches which I was not expecting. "However when I complained to the company IncTablet, they responded quickly that very same day and have apologised, offering to replace the iPad for a better one." A second three-star review says: "I ordered an iPad off Wowcher from this company over two weeks ago and I've only just heard back. I'm hoping it will be delivered by end of week, quite a quick email back to try resolve the issue." Despite this, another delighted shopper wrote: "Absolutely amazing products at amazing prices. I purchased a apple iPad Air 3 from these and it was in immaculate condition, very easy to purchase and very quick delivery too. I would definitely purchase from these again." Apple says 68 percent of all iPhones are running iOS 18

Apple posted iOS 18 adoption rates on Friday, which are only slightly different from the numbers for iOS 17 a year ago. The company says iOS 18 has been installed on 68 percent of all iPhones (as of January 21) and 76 percent of models from the last four years. A year ago, 66 percent of all iPhones ran iOS 17, so there's a two-percent uptick for iOS 18 this year. The other stat was identical to today's data: 76 percent of iPhones from the previous four years were running iOS 17 in January 2024. iPad owners aren't moving any needles dramatically, either. Apple says 53 percent of all iPads are running iPadOS 18 (the same as iPadOS 17 a year ago). And 63 percent of the tablets from the last four years run iPadOS 18. That's a notch above the 61 percent of devices from the previous four years running iPadOS 17 early last year. Does the minor boost come from Apple Intelligence wooing a few extra curious adopters? Unfortunately, the company is mum about how many people have opted into its suite of generative AI features. Regardless, we can speculate that Apple wants Apple Intelligence adoption to grow: In the latest iOS 18.3 beta, Apple is enabling its AI features by default during onboarding. (You can still opt out after that, but you have to dig into settings to do so.) In previous versions, it was an opt-in feature you had to explicitly agree to during setup. That software could arrive as early as next week.
