Coastal bungalow hits the market for £275k - boasting two bedrooms, sea views and what eagle-eyed buyers have dubbed a spooky surprise... can YOU see it?

A two-bedroom home on sale in Skegness may give potential buyers a fright when they take a look in the living room. The bungalow on North Shore Road is up for sale for £275,000 and is described as being closer to the beach than any other home in the town. It is situated just a one-minute walk away from the beach and has a popular golf club situated behind the property. This unique location makes the property ideal for keen golfers and couples who enjoy long walks along the beach. Complete with a spacious sitting room, a kitchen with plenty of storage and a conservatory with sea views, the detached bungalow is an attractive offer for its price. However, house-hunters may be put off by a bizarre ornament in the living room. What appears to be a Halloween ornament stands against a wall, near the room's entrance, which could give buyers the fright of their life as they enter through the corridor. The spooky statue of a grey-haired man, possibly a supernatural spirit or ghostly butler, holds roses and candles. A similar 'Halloween Hunchback Monster Man' ornament is available to purchase online. The figure, which lights up and also speaks spooky phrases, costs a pricey £192. The hunchbacked man is in stark contrast to the surrounding decor, which includes a couple's landscape picture on the beach, yellow sofas and bright-coloured walls. The rest of the house is also more unassuming, a conservatory adjacent to the lounge offers views of the sea. The conservatory has UPVCC double glazed windows with a tiled floor, wall-mounted independent electric heaters and a light with a fan. There is a small, low-maintenance garden at the back of the home with a raised patio and seating area to watch the sunrise from, as well as a further gated outside area ideal for parking. Another house recently featured an unusual ornament in pictures for its listing. A three-bedroom home in Bridgend came with an eight-foot shark displayed on the wall. It was a confusing addition to the otherwise typical detached property. The detailed animal bust complements the old-fashioned diving suit which tops a bookcase in the room, but clashes sharply with an equally bizarre red model car. At £199,950 the house remains well priced with its three floors and a garage on the side. Taking to TikTok, @HousingHorrors took a peek at the terrifying interior decoration centrepiece, which boasts a blue and white design to match the walls. 'This is the b****y eight-foot shark. What the b****y hell are the owners thinking,' the TikToker said. The social media personality then pointed out that the model shark and accompanying retro car looked out of place alongside the relatively normal features of the rest of the house. But, in conclusion, the TikToker praised the mercurial design technique and at one point even joked, 'take my money'. He added: 'It's safe to say the absolute icing on the cake is definitely the eight-foot shark in the living room.

The new Hong Kong course golfers can play 2 years before it's even built

The first new golf course in Hong Kong in almost 30 years will not be finished until late 2027, but prospective members can already play the 18 holes that await them. Being built on a former landfill site in Tai Po, the 6,600-yard course will boast the latest technology on, off and underneath the Fray Straka-designed course, from water catchments and sand capping to a Trackman-powered simulator of the entire par-71 challenge. And for those who want a really close look at what is coming, a VR headset allows them to stand on the greens and fairways as they will eventually be – without even needing to leave the city's Central district. With wait times for membership of other private courses in the city occasionally stretching into decades, Plover Cove has set up an office where lessons and club fitting with former DP World Tour player Alex Hu Diandian sit alongside the simulator and a bar with sweeping views of Victoria Harbour. 'The Plover Cove Experience Lounge embodies our commitment to redefining excellence in golf,' Dean Nelson, the club's general manager, said. 'As Hong Kong's likely final private 18-hole championship course, we've brought this visionary project to life through cutting-edge technology – including Trackman simulators and immersive VR – enabling guests to experience the course and clubhouse without ever setting foot on the construction site.'

Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster responds after receiving devastating health department grade

The general manager of the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster claims a bad health inspection was politically motivated. An inspector from the Somerset County Department of Health gave the private New Jersey club a 32 out of 100 health score on May 6 — the lowest in the county, which includes about 115 retail food establishments. This inspection yielded a C rating, citing 18 violations, including the improper separation of raw meats from ready-to-eat foods, and identified contamination risks. The on-site inspector deemed the club's operations conditionally satisfactory and classified the food establishment as a Risk Level 4 facility. '[The person in charge] fails to demonstrate knowledge of food safety,' the inspector noted in the report, which can be publicly viewed online. In response, the club's general manager, David Schutzenhofer, told The Hill in a statement on Thursday, 'Never before have we witnessed such visceral hostility from the health department. This is clearly nothing more than a politically motivated attack.' 'We operate one of the most immaculate golf facilities in the country, and we take immense pride in our standards of cleanliness, safety, and hospitality,' he said. The Independent has contacted representatives for the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster and the Somerset County Department of Health for comment. Forbes was the first to report on the less-than-glowing inspection in an article published on Wednesday. About three hours after the article's release, an inspector conducted a reinspection at Trump's Bedminster club, despite NJ rules requiring surprise visits, Forbes reports. The club received a B grade with a score of 86, the lowest possible for that rating, and was cited for six violations, including two critical ones. Issues included improperly chilled milk and creamers, weak sanitizer levels, and mops stored in buckets instead of being air-dried. Michael McCarty, Somerset County's deputy health director, said that reinspections are routine and typically occur within two to four weeks of the initial visit, according to USA Today. The president owns the Bedminster golf club through a business network and the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust, which allows him to earn income, as he did during his first term. He spent over 100 days there during his office tenure. New Jersey law requires all food establishments, including private golf clubs, to undergo annual inspections. Amid his feud with Elon Musk, Trump has decamped to Bedminster for the weekend.

Inspectors flag health code violations at Trump's 'Summer White House'

As President Donald Trump settles into spending his summer weekends at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf resort, he may want to peek into the club's kitchen. Forbes reported Wednesday that the golf club was flagged for 18 health violations, nine of which were deemed critical, in the latest report issued by the Somerset County Department of Health. The May 6 report , which was publicly released, rated the club a 32 out of 100 possible points - the lowest score in the county. Inspectors found expired milk, raw meat that was stored improperly and a dishwasher that wasn't getting to the required temperature. Raw meats and eggs are required to be stored separately from ready-to-eat foods. In the Bedminster kitchen, raw meat was being stored above the cheese, the inspection found. The milk being used in the kitchen had expired three days before the inspection occurred. There were four separate hand-washing violations as well. Sinks lacked soap or the required paper towels for hand drying. Additionally, no employee with the required 'food manager level certification' was present at the time of the inspection. The club was issued a 'conditionally satisfactory' C grade - with management required to hang the sign in public view. The county inspector commanded the club to fix all the violations and pay a reinspection fee at a county building ahead of the next inspection. The Trump Organization did not immediately respond to Daily Mail's request for comment. This isn't the first time the New Jersey club's kitchen has been dinged by county inspectors. In August 2017, at the end of Trump's first summer in the White House, reported that Bedminster had been cited for at least 17 health code violations during routine inspections between 2011 and 2016. The reports cited 'significant fly activity' in the pool kitchen and main kitchen, dirty utensils with 'old and encrusted food buildup,' melons stored at the wrong temperature, dirty wiping cloths, grease-covered fryer units and uncovered and spilled food storage bins. The infractions were minor enough that the restaurants earned a 'satisfactory' grade and remained open. The Bedminster club opened in 2004 and is where the president has spent his time when the Palm Beach climate at Mar-a-Lago gets too hot. During the 2024 campaign, Trump used the club to host a handful of press conferences.
