Multiple blasts heard in Tehran, black smoke visible in east: AFP
Multiple explosions were heard in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Wednesday, according to AFP journalists, who reported seeing black smoke rise in the east. The series of blasts were heard shortly before 3:30 pm (1200 GMT), on the sixth day of the most intense exchange of fire between arch-foes Iran and Israel. AFP

Update: Date: 10:00 BST Title: Verified videos show blasts across Tehran Content: Peter MwaiBBC Verify senior journalist We've been sourcing and authenticating videos showing a series of loud explosions overnight in eastern Tehran following another night of Israeli air raids. The footage we've verified shows huge plumes of smoke rising into the night sky above the Iranian capital. We can tell where the strikes have taken place by looking at physical features in the footage such as mountain ranges and matching them against online mapping services like Google Earth. In the footage we can see smoke coming from slightly behind the mountain range to the east of Tehran which matches the location of the Khojir missile production complex - an expansive military installation near the town of Hajarabad. The location also matches heat sources captured by Nasa satellites, external that are used to track wildfires and other thermal signals. Update: Date: 3m ago (00:10 GMT) Title: Iranians extremely distraught as more explosions are reported in Tehran Content: We've heard of two major explosions in Tehran over the past hour and another one in the suburb of Karaj, west of the capital. Air defences have been activated there due to the latest strikes, as well as in the city of Tabriz, northwest of the country, as well as in Bushehr in the south. What we are also hearing from the Israeli military is that they are issuing again another forced evacuation threat. This time, in the District 18 of Tehran that is known as the Shadegh area. It is a densely-populated area that is home to about 400,000 people, and is located south of the Mehrabad Airport, the domestic airport, which has not been operation since Friday. This is the second time that Israel issued an evacuation threat highlighting a specific neighbourhood, and it is coming in the middle of the night. Internet is also down in the country due to a cyber-attack, so it is not clear if most people would get the information that they are supposed to evacuate. People are extremely distraught and worried. Those who have fled the capital are also facing issues of food supply in the areas where they have fled to. There's lots of concerns and nowhere to go, and they are not able to access information easily. An AFP journalist heard a series of loud explosions in north Tehran on Tuesday, as Israel kept up its strikes on Iran's military and nuclear facilities for a fifth day. It was not immediately clear whether the blasts were the result of incoming Israeli strikes or Iranian air defense fire. AFP

Iran media reports explosions in central city of Isfahan
Iranian media said several blasts were heard on Tuesday in the central city of Isfahan, which hosts multiple nuclear facilities, as Israel kept up its strikes for a fifth day. "Several explosions were heard in the east and north of Isfahan and air defenses were activated against the hostile targets," the Mehr news agency reported. AFP
