Mark Wright apologises for 'poor taste' Instagram post after Air India plane crash

Mark Wright apologises for 'poor taste' Instagram post after Air India plane crash He has removed a post in the wake of the Air India plane crash, which killed all but one of its passengers and crew members, saying it was a 'horrendous coincidence' Mark Wright has apologised after sharing a holiday post (Image: Getty Images ) Mark Wright has issued an apology following a post that many considered inappropriate after the Air India plane tragedy. He promptly deleted his post and addressed the issue on his Instagram stories, describing it as a "horrendous coincidence". The 38-year-old television personality and his wife Michelle Keegan, also 38, have been actively posting to Instagram from their holiday in Spain. Along with some family members, they took their three-month-old daughter Palma overseas for the first time. ‌ It is believed the family is now back in the UK, and Mark is understood to have shared an image featuring the three in front of a private jet at an airport, with a caption about the lack of leg room on regular flights. ‌ However, the Heart radio presenter faced criticism for the post against the backdrop of the Air India flight crash, which took place shortly after departing from Ahmedabad en route to Gatwick Airport in London. In response to the backlash, Mark apologised for what he called a "mistake," explaining to his followers that the post had been pre-scheduled and was not meant to be insensitive. On his Instagram story, he elaborated that the timing was just a "horrendous coincidence", reports the Mirror. In his statement, Mark said: "I apologise for a post I just put up on my page after today's heartbreaking events. I have posts from a holiday that are on the scheduled setting, which go out on future days I have set them for which was done last week." He said that upon realising this, he "immediately" took down the post. He added: "It's a horrendous coincidence that today's post was on such a devastating day. Once I logged in to my Instagram and realised the post had gone out, I immediately deleted it." ‌ The ex-TOWIE celebrity extended his compassion towards all those impacted by the tragic air incident, saying: "My heart goes out to everyone who has been affected from today. I'm sorry for this mistake and any offence caused." For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter As reported by The Sun, Mark seemingly joked about lacking extra leg room on his flight back from a holiday with Michelle and their daughter. Apparently poking fun at not flying private, he is understood to have posted: "1 day babe, for now we'll take row 26 with no extra leg room." Some of his followers were quick to criticise the timing of his post with one reportedly saying: "Not really appropriate to put this up after today's plane crash." Nick Knowles' wild love life as he marries fianceé 27-years his junior today

Nick Knowles is set to wed his 33-year-old fiancée Katie Dadzie today after he popped the question last year, but the DIY SOS presenter has a chequered romantic history Nick Knowles, known for his turbulent love life over the years, is set to tie the knot to his match in Katie Dadzie, a 34-year-old businesswoman and mother of two. Despite their 27-year age difference, the former I'm A Me Out Of Here! star, who first met Katie in 2019, are smitten, and they're set to say their 'I do's' today. The 62-year-old, who is renowned for his romantic escapades as he is for his presenting prowess on BBC's DIY SOS, proposed to Katie in July 2024 when the pair had been an item for nearly three years, having initially got together in 2021. The couple are due to tie the knot today in a lavish six-figure ceremony in Essex. ‌ Their paths first crossed when Katie's daughters became friends with Nick's youngest son Eddie, 9, at a play centre. Since then, the couple has been open about their affection for each other. ‌ Last year, they caused a stir when they posed together for a photo while Katie modelled some designer lingerie. The image, which featured Katie in a scanty light pink number and Nick assisting to 'straighten the straps', was part of a collection of photos Katie posted for Nick's 61st birthday. Katie, who is a proud mum-of-two, had to defend the significant age gap between her and Nick. However, she isn't the first younger woman that the star has been associated with. Nick, a proud father to four children from three different women, seems to have a penchant for younger partners. Back in 2019, Nick showed a penchant for younger women when he was seen getting close to a woman 30 years his junior. Identified as 26-year-old PR exec Emily Hallinan, the pair were seen on a date at a dazzling West End show. The year before, rumours circulated that the TV host Nick had started seeing marketing executive Rebecca Kearns, who is also reportedly over 30 years younger than him. After splitting from Rebecca, Nick was photographed getting cosy with Emmerdale's Gemma Oaten following an evening at the TV Choice Awards in September 2016. ‌ However, these pictures triggered their breakup, with Gemma recounting the harsh reality: "One Sunday morning we were lying in bed and all these texts came through about us being photographed together. In an instant he completely changed. It was all about him and how it was going to affect his family. It was really cruel as he said it didn't matter for me. I felt sick." She recounted: "I said, 'Do you want to throw away what we have? We have done nothing wrong'. But he just dropped me like a ton of bricks. I thought it was a real relationship and he wasn't afraid to let others know." ‌ Nick was swiftly seen on multiple outings with ex-TOWIE star Pascal Craymer, 31 at the time, who confirmed their budding romance: "He's so lovely. We're seeing how it goes. He gets portrayed badly but he's a nice guy." Yet, when he dismissed the notion that they were an item, Pascal stood her ground, claiming he was in the throes of a "mid-life crisis". ‌ Nick's marital journey began with his first wife Gillian in 1995, which lasted until 2000 and blessed them with two children, Tuesday and Charlie. Following that, his relationship with beauty therapist Paula Beckett-Vass resulted in a son named Tyrian-J. In 2000, he started a three-year fling with presenter Suzi Perry. Tying the knot with Jessica Moore – 26 years his junior – he fathered a son named Eddie before their 2016 separation. ‌ Nick hasn't shied away from admitting his reluctance for deep commitment, confessing in 2008: "My relationships have pretty much followed a pattern. They last six months and start off with me explaining that I work a lot, so will have commitment issues. The women involved agree that that is fine, then after a month I get a phone call saying, 'This isn't on'. After three months we split up, then get back together. After five, there's another tussle. At six it's all off." The DIY SOS host has confessed to facing challenges in his family life, admitting he wasn't often present when his older children were growing up. "It's the most difficult thing in modern life to weigh up the amount you work to improve their lifestyles versus missing your children grow up. ‌ "I'm not sure I got that right with my older children, I was probably away too much. So I'm making a greater effort now with my eight-year-old," he revealed, adding: "Having said that, my older children are all doing great and are very happy." Nick went on to say: "Having an eight-year-old son at the age of 60 is the most wonderful thing in the world. It keeps you young, makes you see the world through new eyes. "It reminds you of your own fascination with the world and all there is to see and do. We have a map of the world in his bedroom, and before bedtime we go through and he names four countries in each continent. I want him to know there's a big world out there, to travel and meet people the way I have, because it gives you a much greater understanding of humankind."

James Argent's ex breaks silence as she claims she was 'brutally evicted'

James Argent's ex-girlfriend Nicoline Artursson has broken her silence after the former TOWIE star was convicted of domestic violence earlier this month James Argent's former girlfriend, Nicoline Artursson, has finally spoken out after the ex-TOWIE star admitted to domestic violence. Earlier this month, Argent admitted his guilt in a Spanish court, receiving a six-month suspended prison sentence and a two-year restraining order. Argent had pushed his then-girlfriend down a flight of stairs, causing injuries, according to earlier reports. Despite the shocking incident, Argent was back on stage by the end of the week, earning his living through singing. ‌ Nicoline, a model and former Miss Sweden, met Arg outside a supermarket in Marbella and they quickly fell head over heels for each other. ‌ In an interview with OK! magazine, James reminisced about the moment he first saw Nicoline, describing her as beautiful even in her gym clothes and without makeup. "She'd just fed a stray cat. We both smiled and kind of giggled at each other. And Nicoline carried on walking. Then I thought, 'What have I got to lose?' So I turned around and said, 'Hey.'" The couple went on to date and had discussed starting a family together one day, with Nicoline praising Arg's family-oriented nature, reports the Mirror. Until now, Nicoline had remained silent about the incident. She recently took to social media to share her thoughts on what had transpired in a lengthy and emotional post titled 'All that glitters, where is the gold?'. In a heartfelt social media post, Nicoline detailed her emotional and physical turmoil following the end of her relationship. She wrote: "It's now been a month. I still can't believe it. My fractures on my body have finally healed but I'm wounded inside. I've been quiet long enough. Silence protects no one - and it almost destroyed started as a love story sadly turned into something else. Behind the pictures, promises and the plans for a life together - the beautiful days - changed into something into sadness with emotional manipulation and eventually physical harm." ‌ While she didn't name anyone specifically, Nicoline hinted at issues with Arg's past, saying he had "unresolved ties to his past". She expressed her frustration about feeling like a third wheel in her own relationship, stating: "There were 'too many people in our relationship' - her, Arg and his ex - and accused the unnamed ex and her family of 'targeted emotional distress'." She continued: "I loved deeply, believed in our future and stood by someone I thought would protect me and instead I was left alone and harmed in ways I never imagined. I was not only failed by him but deeply affected by the presence of unresolved ties to his past." ‌ Nicoline also referenced a social media poll she conducted, sharing: "Yes I posted an Instagram story with a simple yes or no question about if your ex should be a part of your present relationship. I felt there were too many people in our relationship: me, my boyfriend and his ex. 'Three's a crowd', they say. I asked so many times if we could be just the two of us, but the answer was a strong NO. "I experienced what I can only describe as targeted emotional distress which he allowed to continue. The ex and her family put us through so much misery and false accusations, I won't go into details. "They had no reason whatsoever to do what they did to us, but for some reason they wouldn't let go and let us enjoy our love. Everybody knows that real friends support you and want to see you happy. So I posted a story on Instagram." ‌ She further stated Arg had promised to "put a stop" to the ongoing issues: "After being together for one year my boyfriend finally promised me that he would have boundaries. He would put a stop to all that had been going on for months. But he didn't. "Instead he broke the promise and her controlling behaviour continued. The rest is history. I was brutally thrown out of our new home in the middle of the night wearing only my pyjamas. I opened the door to let him in and only minutes after I found myself laying down on the stairs outside our house. My clothes and belongings were being thrown out from the balcony down on me. I was injured." Later, Nicoline expressed gratitude to her neighbours: "Thanks to incredible neighbours who heard and saw what happened and acted, I got help. They called police, brought me to safety and ensured the incident was taken seriously." ‌ She powerfully ended her message with: "A gentleman does not abuse you and end up in jail and call you the love of his life. A gentleman does not blame you for his actions. A gentleman will confide in his partner, family and close circle of friends, keeping them close and safe. A gentleman chooses you always and leaves the past in the past - including exes. "Life is to be lived together and not to please people who want to take advantage of you. At the end of the day, fame can only do so much - it's all about being strong and growing together. Life is simply not a reality TV show, life is real. I have tried to understand why. I have cried so many tears thinking about the way he chose to hurt me. He said he loved me and I believed him and here we are." ‌ Furthering her reflection, she continued: "There is now a legal record of what happened. Violence has no excuse - no matter how much love preceded it. To those who questioned me for staying as long as I did: I stayed because I believed in love. I believed he and we could grow, could heal, could choose peace. But love doesn't survive in chaos. And it cannot survive where violence lives." She then addressed her readers directly: "To every woman reading this: if you've ever questioned your worth, your safety or your sanity in a relationship - this is your sign. You deserved to be loved with care and integrity. And you are not alone. To the men: real strength is protection. Real love is safe. Be the kind of man who lifts women up - not one who breaks them down, neither by violence or silence. ‌ "To the future: never say never. I will get the little family I've always dreamed of and have my dream wedding to symbolise and celebrate true love in front of my dear family and friends." She penned: "I'm healing now. Slowly, bravely and unapologetically. I will rise and I will use my voice - not for vengeance but for truth. For every woman who's been silenced by someone who said 'I love you' and then proved otherwise. This is not just my story. It's a reminder: abuse - whether emotional, psychological or physical - has no place in love."
