Subway service resumes on Line 2 after emergency repairs

THE CANADIAN PRESS/Graeme Roy Subway service has resumed on a section of Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth) following emergency repairs. Subway service was suspended both ways between St. George and Broadview stations for around an hour Wednesday. According to the TTC, the closure was to facilitate emergency radio repairs. Service resumed around 10 a.m., the TTC said in a tweet.

Two-hour delays on westbound M62 motorway due to damaged viaduct
Delays of up to two hours have been reported on the M62 in West Yorkshire due to emergency repairs on a motorway Highways said there were "severe delays" westbound on Tuesday afternoon and into the evening between junction 24 for Huddersfield and junction 22 for Denshaw in Greater Manchester. The agency said damaged bridge joints on the Rakewood Viaduct required repair, with two of three lanes closed nearby.A full carriageway closure at the location will be implemented overnight to carry out the repairs in full, National Highways added. School closes due to Totnes water supply issues
A school in Devon has been forced to close due to a burst water main which has cut off its water supply. Some people in Totnes have reported having little or no water and South West Water said it hoped to restore the supply in the next three to four hours. Stoke Gabriel Community Primary School said it had closed due to the issues. A spokesperson for South West Water said it was undertaking "emergency repairs" to fix the issue. Burst water main causes issues on Auckland's North Shore

Photo: Instagram / Richard Hillls Watercare is conducting emergency repairs along Lake Road in Auckland's Northcote after a water main burst. Watercare's website says properties in Northcote, Hillcrest and Takapuna are affected and may experience low water pressure until the fault is repaired. It says the fault was reported at 1.45pm on Wednesday afternoon, and the estimated restoration time is close to midnight Thursday. North Shore councillor Richard Hills said that Watercare were arranging for water tankers to be stationed at 22 Potter Avenue and 46 Raleigh Road, but no timeframe was given for when these would be in place.
