Cat dies from smoke inhalation from house fire in Ripon, significant damage reported
RIPON, Wis. (WFRV) – A cat died from smoke inhalation during a house fire in Ripon on Thursday morning, with the home suffering significant damage. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office reported that dispatch received a call at 10:24 a.m. regarding smoke at a home located at W13819 Skyline Circle, with black smoke reportedly filling the interior. The preliminary investigation indicated an electrical fire started in a workshop after a tool reportedly failed while plugged in. The homeowners were not home; however, a cat inside died from smoke inhalation, while other pets were safely rescued. The rest of the house was significantly damaged by smoke and soot and has been deemed uninhabitable. Busy Edinburgh pavement taped off as fire crews race to West End incident
Edinburgh fire crews blocked off a West End pavement on Thursday evening amid an emergency incident. On June 19, firefighters raced to Morrison Street after being made aware of an electrical fire under the pavement. They were made aware around 6.30pm and are still in attendance. One appliance was sent to the incident. In images shared with Edinburgh Live, around four firefighters are pictured at the scene. One concerned passer-by said: "I walked past around 7.10pm and noticed the area is closed off. Electrical incident deems Colchester Elementary School uninhabitable
COLCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH — Colchester Elementary School has been deemed uninhabitable after an electrical incident on Sunday, according to Superintendent Dan Sullivan. At approximately 11:30 a.m., fire and EMS crews responded to CES for a potential electrical fire. After investigation, an electrical device with in the main switch gear failed in the server room due to a overheating. Over 100 gallons of glycol leaks into Trumbull High School halls Smoke filled the server room and adjacent rooms in the school. It will take some time to fully ventilate the building, according to Sullivan. The building had its power shit off while repairs are ongoing. Eversource will need to approve the repairs before power is restored. Sullivan estimates CES may be uninhabitable for up to three days. The following modifications have been made for Colchester Public Schools All Colchester schools will operate on a two-hour delay Pre-K classes are cancelled on Monday. Second grade students will be housed at William J.
