New Jackie 'O' Henderson reality TV show Stranded on Honeymoon Island cast is finally revealed - after release date was pushed back by six months

Channel Seven has announced the cast of romantic hopefuls who are set to star in their new dating show Stranded On Honeymoon Island. Dropping on June 23, the long-awaited show follows 12 unlucky-in-love singles who are stranded on a remote island with no hope of escape for 21 days. Narrated by high-profile radio host Jackie 'O' Henderson, the format is based on a hit Danish concept and adapted locally by Endemol Shine Australia. Each of the couples are matched after a speed dating meet-up and then dumped in a tropical location, still in their wedding attire, with no access to phones or the outside. And once on Honeymoon Island, the couples have to grapple with everyday dating dramas as they strive to survive primitive conditions. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Featured in the cast are 30-year-old Queensland TikToker and comedian Amy who is paired with TV host Mike, 38, from NSW. An early trailer revealed sparks fly between Amy and her match - for the wrong reasons. The pair's strong personalities clash from the outset, with Amy unwilling to follow and Mike used to leading. Also starring in the series is Brie from Victoria. Trained as a singer and dancer, the 29-year-old has been matched with Byron, 34, an electrician from Queensland who has been single for two years. Emily, 29, an executive from Victoria, who has been single for seven years has been paired with business analyst Tom, 30, from the ACT. Meanwhile, career coach Dani, 35, is hoping romance will blossom with fellow Queenslander, performer and music producer Emanuel, 35. Flight attendant Georgia, 35, has found herself on Honeymoon Island with match Chad, 47, an anthroplasty expert, who shares her home state of Victoria. Rounding out the cast are two contestants from NSW - Jess, 38, a relationship coach and her match, personal trainer Sam, 31. It comes after the series was plagued by controversy behind the scenes, with the series' rollout delayed for more than six months. Originally slated to air in late 2024, the show was quietly shelved by Seven, leaving cast members in the dark about its future. As previously reported by Daily Mail Australia, contestants were furious over the prolonged silence from the network, with one anonymous bride revealing: 'We've had enough. We've all put our lives on hold for this, and now we're just sitting here waiting for a decision. 'Some of us have moved on and started new relationships – one of the guys even proposed to his girlfriend in real life!' she continued, adding it felt 'insulting' to still be under contract without clarity. 'We were told to keep quiet, no relationships, no social media posts. We're basically living like prisoners, while Seven plays games with us.' Others echoed similar frustrations, claiming they were led to believe the show would fast-track their careers as influencers, only to return to regular jobs after months of limbo. 'It's just been a rollercoaster of uncertainty,' one insider shared. 'They told us one thing, then pushed the show back again and again. Nobody even knows when the series will air, and the cast hasn't been told a thing,' they added. 'All we've been given is silence and broken promises.' Insiders say the network was hopeful the show could rival Married At First Sight and The Block in ratings, even splashing out big money to secure Jackie O in hopes of pulling viewers.

Alison Hammond reveals reason she told son not to go on Love Island

Alison Hammond has revealed that she told her son "absolutely not' when he asked if he could go on Love Island. The This Morning presenter appeared on Loose Women on Friday (13 June) where she shared that Aiden, her 20-year-old son, has successfully auditioned for the popular ITV2 dating show in the past. She said: 'I advised him to do it later on. You've got to remember he was only 19 at that time. I just think it's too young.' Hammond then joked that she turned into 'mum of the house' and put her foot down to stop him from participating, before stating that she is happy for him to enter but only when 'he has a bit more experience'.

Love Island unleashes first series 12 bombshell leaving 1 Islander vulnerable

Love Island series 12 unleashed its first bombshell on Monday night's launch episode - and the move has left one Islander vulnerable. Toni, who is the first-ever American contestant to appear on the UK version of the dating show, strutted into the villa the greet host Maya Jama and the 12 initial contestants on Monday night (09.06.25). Maya then revealed Toni could choose to steal one of the lads - and she picked taxi driver Ben. That means marketing worker Shakira is now single. After asking her to stand up, Maya told her: "The good news is - you are not being dumped tonight." The other Islanders gave Shakira a round of applause, but it could be premature. Maya added: "But, you could be tomorrow night. "Shakira - you have 24 hours to find a connection with one of the boys in the villa. "If one of them decides to couple up with you then you are safe. "And one of the other girls will be dumped in your place. "As Toni has stolen Ben, they cannot be broken up. "If none of the boys want to recouple with you, sadly it will be you who is going home." Maya then addressed the six lads, saying: "Boys - are you happy in your couple? Or could you be happier? "It's time to find out who is here for the real reasons. "Who is willing to take risks to find The One? Or who is just playing it safe? "Girls - I suggest you keep your boys very close. "I'll see you soon. Take care." Ahead of entering the villa as this year's first bombshell, Las Vegas pool cabana server Toni, 24, admitted she is keen to date a Brit because she has found dating in America to be "a mess". She explained: "I live in cities that are fast-paced and party places; Las Vegas and Florida. "People are here for a good time, not a long time. I live in Sin City! I do love Las Vegas. "I've met some of the greatest people I've ever met there. "I'm willing to relocate, it would just break my heart to not have my job anymore. "I've lived in three different states and I'm still single. "It's time to try something new! I have some British friends and they're pretty charming. "I think all Americans love a good accent. British men are just more polite, with better manners." Love Island airs at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, and in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Play.

Maya Jama made sure to return to Love Island in style for Monday night's upcoming launch as she slipped into a patterned pink swimsuit to head to the villa on a luxurious superyacht. The presenter, 30, looked sensational in the first look snaps as she kicksstarts the show while relaxing on the front of the liner. Maya kept her dark locks out of her face in a coordinated headband and wore a pair of huge gold earrings. She will welcome 12 brand new Islanders to the Majorca villa who are hoping to find love during the dating show. The first look comes after Maya showed off her eye-popping cleavage in a skimpy white bikini as she enjoyed a dance in Majorca ahead of Love Island's new series. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The presenter shared her excitement for the show's upcoming 12th series, in a fun clip posted to her Instagram Stories on Sunday. In the clip, Maya could be seen leaving a local shop, enjoying some downtime ahead of the series launch on Monday. As she headed to a sun lounger to soak up the Spanish sun with a pal, Maya was seen laughing the day away before being called to film for the new show. For her outing, Maya flaunted her assets in a white bikini top and a figure-hugging black beach skirt. Love Island confirmed the full line-up of contestants joining the upcoming series earlier this week. The ITV2 dating show returns on June 9 and there looks set to be the usual mix of love triangles, bedroom trysts and messy breakups as contestants make their way to the island. This year's crop of hopefuls include a Declan Rice body double, fire breather and Maura Higgins lookalike and Maya will once again be at the helm after joining the popular dating series in January 2023. This year, the show celebrates a decade on screens and promises to have 'more twists and turns than ever before' in honour of their 10-year anniversary. It comes after Maya showed off her eye-popping cleavage in a skimpy white bikini as she enjoyed a dance in Majorca ahead of Love Island's new series The presenter shared her excitement for the show's upcoming 12th series, in a fun clip posted to her Instagram Stories on Sunday Love Island confirmed the full line-up of contestants earlier this week. The ITV2 dating show returns on June 9 (L-R Harry, Blu, Alima,Tommy, Megan, Helena, Ben, Sophie, Meg, Sharkia, Dejon and Kyle) The series, which has been streamed over two billion times on ITVX, has seen over 300 Islanders pass through the villa doors over the years, including the likes of Olivia Attwood, Dani Dyer, Chris Hughes, and Molly-Mae Hague. Earlier this week, a Love Island producer also revealed that this year's contestants could come face to face with their ex-partners in the villa. Speaking to The Sun, ITV's Mike Spencer-Hayter said: 'Do you know what I always say, the cast get released and then the ex's come forward. And that's how you get the bombshells. 'They will have to go through the process, but we have already a pool of really really good bombshells lined up. There's some people in that mix that are really under the radar as well. 'The casting team have been working for quite a while now. Gone to lots of different events and been out and about looking for people and I think they've done a brilliant job. We always have those killer bombshells to come in.' It comes after Mike revealed to the Mail that the first week of the new season will see 'something big' as they 'tear up the rule book' to liven up the hit show. Last year the show had a shock entry when TOWIE favourite Joey Essex, 34, entered the villa, to very mixed results from fans. When asked if they will be getting another former reality TV star or celebrity in as a contestant this year, Mike said something else will be a surprise. 'No former Love Islanders are coming in this year,' he said. 'Something big is coming in week one though. Not another reality star like Joey Essex. 'We've got a big week one planned. It's not a celebrity, but totally new. It's even different this year the way islanders will couple up. 'You can't rest on people loving the show, we have to keep it exciting. Tear up the rule book a bit.' Love Island is set to air on June 9 over on ITV2 and ITVX.
