Emergency services responded to reports of an assault on Coronation Road, near Māngere Bridge, at about 6pm. Police said one person was taken to hospital in a critical condition, where they remained stable. A spokesperson said enquires were ongoing. Man in critical condition after Bank St. altercation, paramedics say

Ottawa police are investigating an altercation that left a man with critical injuries in the 1600 block of Bank Street Saturday, June 14, 2025. (Scott Rook/CTV News Ottawa) Ottawa paramedics say a man suffered critical injuries after an 'altercation' in the city's south end Saturday afternoon. A paramedics spokesperson tells CTV News that they responded to the incident in the 1600 block of Bank Street, near Heron Road at approximately 4 p.m. Details of the incident were not immediately available. The Ottawa Police Service says in an email to CTV News that an investigation remains active. Police believe there to be no risk to public safety. Bank Street is closed between Heron Road and Alta Vista Drive with emergency services still on scene, according to a post on X from Ottawa police. The public is being asked to avoid the area. A man has been rushed to hospital with critical injuries after he was impaled on a timber post in a horror workplace accident. The man, aged in his 30s, reportedly fell from the roof of a building on Irving Road in the exclusive Melbourne suburb of Toorak about 7am on Tuesday. Fire Rescue Victoria crews performed a high-angled rescue, cutting down the timber post he fell on before placing the man on a flat surface. He was rushed to The Alfred Hospital in a critical condition. 'Ambulance Victoria responded to calls to an incident in Toorak this morning at around 7:15am,' a spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia. 'A man in his 30s was transported by road to the Alfred Hospital in a critical condition after being treated for upper body injuries.' WorkSafe Victoria is investigating the incident. Daily Mail Australia has contacted WorkSafe Victoria and The Alfred for comment.
