Ex-teacher in Longueuil now faces 62 new charges in child luring and pornography case
A former elementary school teacher in Longueuil has been charged with 62 new counts, including child luring and production of child pornography. Kyle Le Huquet, 37, was arrested by Longueuil police (SPAL) on Feb. 27. He was already facing charges of child luring after allegedly sending explicit messages to at least one child online. Le Huquet now faces more than 40 counts of luring a minor, nine counts of producing child pornography, and three counts of extortion, as well as additional charges including harassment, obtaining sexual services and arranging to commit offences against a minor. In February, Longueuil police said Le Huquet was apprehended following a report of computer luring originating in the U.K. Authorities said during his virtual conversation with his underage victim, the accused exchanged sexual photographs with her. Police added that Le Huquet allegedly told the teenager he was a teacher, which helped identify and arrest him. There are a total of 37 victims across two separate criminal cases. The new charges allege offenses committed between September 2014 and December 2024 in Longueuil and 'elsewhere in the world,' according to court documents. Frisco standoff ends peacefully after officer fires at armed suspect
A nearly five-hour standoff with Frisco police ended without injury early Thursday, even after an officer fired their weapon when a suspect pointed a laser-equipped pistol at them, police said. Officers responded to a welfare concern involving a potentially armed, suicidal man just before 11 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Frisco Police Department. The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Aaron Bylund of Frisco, was located in a field near Preston Road and PGA Parkway around 12:15 a.m. Thursday, authorities said. Drone confirms suspect was armed Officers used a drone to determine that Bylund was armed with a handgun, police said. Bylund, a defendant in a child pornography case from Frisco PD, threatened suicide, pointed a weapon in various directions, and made threats toward officers, according to a news release. Around 1 a.m., an officer fired their weapon — but missed — after Bylund pointed his laser-equipped pistol at them, police said. Suspect surrenders after hours Negotiations continued until about 5 a.m., when Bylund laid down his weapon and was taken into custody by SWAT. He was then transported to a hospital due to what police described as high intoxication. Facing felony assault charge Bylund has been charged with aggravated assault against a public servant, a first-degree felony punishable by five to 99 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. The investigation is ongoing, Frisco police said.

Popular former porn star set to plead guilty to federal child pornography charge
A popular former gay porn star is set to plead guilty to possessing child pornography after the FBI found he had allegedly sent and received hundreds of deeply disturbing videos. Justin Heath Smith, also known in the gay adult film world as Austin Wolf, is expected to plead guilty Friday to a federal child pornography charge carrying a mandatory minimum prison sentence. Smith, 43, has been in federal custody in New York since his June 2024 arrest. He allegedly exchanged 'hundreds of videos' of child sex abuse material including content involving prepubescent children and even infants over the Telegram messaging service. Smith was initially caught after the feds carried out an undercover operation that led to a search of his Manhattan apartment. Agents allegedly found an SD card containing hundred of videos of child pornography. He allegedly exchanged the sickening videos with the anonymous target of an investigation by the bureau. The two allegedly used the encrypted app Telegram to trade the horrific content, which authorities said included a video of a 10-year-old child being bound and raped. Smith, 43, allegedly exchanged 'hundreds of videos' of child sex abuse material including content involving prepubescent children and even infants over the Telegram messaging service Smith's defense attorney, Thomas H. Andrykovitz, wrote that his client 'intends to plead guilty to a mandatory minimum charge with a significant advisory range under the United States Sentencing Guidelines,' in a letter to US District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer. The plea hearing is scheduled for 11:45 am Friday in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Reports say an undercover FBI agent zeroed in on Wolf after finding him through the anonymous target of the probe, who confirmed his identity by talking to him through the target's Telegram account. Wolf's Manhattan apartment was raided by the FBI following the sting in April 2024, where cops reportedly found hundreds of videos of child porn on an SD card in his computer room. One of Wolf's last social media posts chillingly read: 'Have you seen what happens to little boys that follow me to the lock room?' He appeared in court last June after the sting operation. Prosecutor Getzel Berger described Wolf as a 'danger to children online, danger to children offline, danger to children everywhere', as he argued for him to be put behind bars awaiting trial. US Attorney Damian Williams said that 'Justin Heath Smith received and distributed hundreds of recordings containing child pornography, including a ghastly video showing a young child bound, beaten, and raped.' 'Together with our law enforcement partners, we will relentlessly pursue those predators who victimize children and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.' It is not the first time Wolf has made headlines for the wrong reasons. He was caught in 2018 having a mid-flight romp with a flight attendant. Footage emerged of the two having sex inside an aircraft restroom, with the Delta staffer still wearing their uniform when they were caught.

Florence police arrest man who allegedly exposed himself in parking lots, had child porn
Florence police officers have arrested a man in Northern Kentucky on child pornography related charges after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The center reached out to the Florence Police Department about media files that depicted child pornography, a press release from the department said. Florence Police Detective Ryan Kilmer investigated the incident and was able to identify a suspect: Charles J. Dawes, 35, of Union. The man, police said, was already suspected of exposing himself in parking lots throughout Florence. Police seized several electronic devices while executing a search warrant of the man's home on June 19, the news release states, with assistance from the Boone County Sheriff's electronic storage detection K9 Mozart. Dawes was taken into custody and is begin held at the Boone County Detention Center. According to the news release, he's charged with eight counts of possessing matter that shows a sexual performance by a minor from 12-18-years-old; a count of possessing matter that shows a sexual performance by a minor under 12-years-old; and three counts of second-degree indecent exposure. More information about the alleged crimes was not available via online court documents as of 2 p.m. June 19.
